Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Automating processes has saved time and improved communication
Something frustrates me concerning Microsoft Power Automate, and that is about the integration with Microsoft Forms and Excel. The issue now is that I don't get my responses synchronized automatically, and that frustrates me a lot. If the team could take this as feedback, the synchronization of the feedback responses from the forms and the Excel sheets should be seamless. This synchronization issue happens frequently, and it causes a lot of delays in the sense that the mails that ought to go out to the agents fail at some point. I have to reload these responses so that the agents can get their responses as when submitted. What I notice is that the responses don't go out without proper synchronization, so I reload the field responses, and this works afterwards. I would say probably a seamless walkthrough process for new users would be beneficial. For those using it for the first time, a seamless walkthrough process would be fine.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of this solution are the Excel automation and support for SharePoint."
"The solution has very good processes. It's very easy to deploy and has good reviews on it. It offers good automation and the solution has very good developers working on it."
"The most valuable features are PDF extraction and emailing."
"The solution reduces manual data errors and improves data accuracy"
"The entire backend system structure is something that I found really valuable."
"I use it in my client project to extract data and communicate it for business purposes."
"Automation Anywhere provides a very flexible UI."
"They recently released the newest version that has a good program flow, quality, and blueprints that are all good improvements to the automation. They also have good integration with SAP."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"Its ease of use is most valuable. A lot of the bulk functionality is done either through standalone or custom connectors and standard API processes."
"This product has an easy-to-use interface with nice detail in the features."
"It servers our purposes in bringing together all types of applications, being able to automate them with the right intelligent output from the data that we plugin."
"It is very easy to learn and use. It is quite useful for any sort of back-office work. Any kind of work with low and medium complexity is very doable in ProcessRobot. For higher complexity, some refinement is required, but it is doable."
"It is Microsoft. So, you get the integration capability."
"WinAutomation is very handy to use, and it has the power to interact with multiple systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or .NET systems."
"The most valuable features of this solution are the cost and ease of use, it's very simple."

Cons

"We have connectivity and integration with pretty much every single tech stack across the table that we have in the world, and there are a few areas that they don't do that well yet. I'd be looking for some improvement there, in terms of their integration with certain products."
"One aspect that can be improved is the accessibility of reusable components for developers. It relates to role-based access and accessibility."
"Although I like the OCR technology, it could still be further improved."
"When somebody is just learning this product it can be difficult for them to understand, so improvements to the user interface would be helpful."
"The discovery suite that they just acquired could be included."
"The only challenge that we have faced with BotFarm is that there is no continuous deployment. The whole world is moving to the DevOps model, but BotFarm is still not on the DevOps model. It should have integration with the DevOps model. The migration of the bots or bots pipeline is currently purely manual."
"Sometimes I feel like it doesn't work properly and we are not able to provide the dexterity needed."
"There should be more support for developing in environments such as Citrix and Linux."
"The UI of the solution is not so good."
"What needs improvement in WinAutomation by Softomotive is its stability. Stability is quite important to me. Another area for improvement in the solution is robot scheduling because it's not 100% accurate, in particular, it's 90% accurate. The monitoring of the robot could also be improved because it's not very straightforward, and you have to look in a few places or at least two places which means that monitoring is not a one-glance process."
"It would be great if you could integrate outside of Microsoft environments."
"Automatic selectors that allow me to select parts of a website could be more adaptable."
"Their connector to Oracle or premium data sets that aren't Microsoft would often fail for me. The information given back about why it failed wasn't always robust to understand how to fix it and why it happened."
"Power Automate is too complicated - it forces you to go through extra tasks instead of streamlining your workflow."
"One of the challenges is dealing with OCR text recognition."
"Tech support could be more hands-on. Right now, they simply direct users to documentation instead of directly dealing with issues."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our licensing costs are approximately $3,000 USD annually."
"Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price."
"The starter price is free."
"Automation Anywhere is more reasonable than Blue Prism and UiPath in terms of cost."
"The licensing is on a monthly basis."
"I am very happy with the pricing."
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
"The solution prices are expensive. It would be more beneficial for customers to lower the pricing."
"There should be increased transparency about which features attend the pricing."
"The licensing model is flexible in that you can pay per automation or per user. My client receives a discount because of the large number of users and pays approximately $15 for each one."
"We use Office 365 and this solution is free for me to use with the package we have. We have plans to increase the usage of Microsoft Power Automate."
"Its licensing is flexible."
"Comparatively, WinAutomation is cheaper than the other automation tools. When we purchased the license, it was around $50 or $60 per user most probably per month."
"The pricing of this solution is very good and for me, it's the best option there is."
"The solution is $150 per month for the unattended add-on, and the normal Power Automate comes with an E3 license."
"Microsoft Power Automate is part of our Office 365 package, there are no additional licensing costs."
