Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Automating processes has saved time and improved communication
Something frustrates me concerning Microsoft Power Automate, and that is about the integration with Microsoft Forms and Excel. The issue now is that I don't get my responses synchronized automatically, and that frustrates me a lot. If the team could take this as feedback, the synchronization of the feedback responses from the forms and the Excel sheets should be seamless. This synchronization issue happens frequently, and it causes a lot of delays in the sense that the mails that ought to go out to the agents fail at some point. I have to reload these responses so that the agents can get their responses as when submitted. What I notice is that the responses don't go out without proper synchronization, so I reload the field responses, and this works afterwards. I would say probably a seamless walkthrough process for new users would be beneficial. For those using it for the first time, a seamless walkthrough process would be fine.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is the solution's simple automation regarding object cloning and strings variables."
"There is at least a five or ten times reduction in the amount of time, and more people are free to do something else."
"The solution is great to automate any repetitive tasks, which you might do on a daily basis."
"BotFarm has been working perfectly fine with our business model. Its scalability is the most valuable feature. We can easily scale out bots on a need basis. Portability is another valuable feature. We work with different payment systems like Visa and MasterCard and have bots for them. Because of BotFarm, we are able to reuse these bots."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which helps to provide a good user experience."
"The most valuable feature is the rapid deployment of multiple bots."
"The most valuable features are the portals for extracting data from PDF files, appending data to SAP, automating the SAP, downloading reports, and mapping and creating the reports accordingly to your requirements."
"Last year I faced a problem and, subsequently, raised a ticket, and the support team is great and they helped me to resolve the issue within three or four days."
"Overall, I would give Microsoft Power Automate a nine out of ten."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it easily integrates with Azure DevOps."
"Its complete integration with Microsoft tools and the inclusion of the CRM are the most valuable features."
"The initial setup is very simple."
"I like that Power Automate gives us a connector to be able to connect different data sources or different software, and it is very easy to connect, authenticate, and automate our daily routine tasks."
"Power Automate is not complex and is very easy-to-use in deploying most development projects."
"It is fast to implement, does not depend on the changes to existing systems to implement, saves hours that a team spends on performing the process manually, and most importantly it is easy to train business users since users are very much familiar with the Microsoft and Windows interface (UI)."
"The most valuable feature is the ability and ease of linking multiple connectors within the same flow."

Cons

"The deployment could be made a little bit easier."
"The licensing schemes could be more competitive."
"An area for improvement in BotFarm is that the communication between the Control Room and the Bot Client Missions isn't utilized well."
"The new version is not very stable. Sometimes I can't use the recording sound."
"We have connectivity and integration with pretty much every single tech stack across the table that we have in the world, and there are a few areas that they don't do that well yet."
"The only challenge that we have faced with BotFarm is that there is no continuous deployment. The whole world is moving to the DevOps model, but BotFarm is still not on the DevOps model. It should have integration with the DevOps model. The migration of the bots or bots pipeline is currently purely manual."
"The machine learning needs to be improved so that they perform better in terms of predictive analysis and sentiment analysis."
"The solution automation is incapable of interacting with our Pega software application development. It is based on the nested table concept and it is unable to read these tables."
"They can improve the description of errors and provide more details. Sometimes, when I receive an error, I can't understand what is wrong. It would be useful to have a desktop version to modify or edit workflows. Its scalability can also be better."
"We are looking to see more features implemented that are already available in UiPath or Automation Anywhere."
"If you are looking for industrial strength, I don't think this solution is quite it."
"During their merger, some key functions were eliminated which no longer allows it to run independently from the cloud as a standalone for other companies."
"There is a limitation in setting up loops, where it does not support multiple conditions."
"Power Automate is too complicated - it forces you to go through extra tasks instead of streamlining your workflow."
"The debugging tools require improvement as well as the monitoring which goes along with it."
"The integration of our system into Power Automate was a bit tricky. We had to put a data lake in place before automating anything because we were not very structured in terms of data."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is too expensive and not worth the price."
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
"We pay approximately $15,000 USD per year."
"We are on an annual license for the solution and is priced well."
"The licensing is on a monthly basis."
"The solution prices are expensive. It would be more beneficial for customers to lower the pricing."
"Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price."
"Automation Anywhere is more reasonable than Blue Prism and UiPath in terms of cost."
"This solution is bundled with our Office 365, so there is no additional licensing fee."
"I give the cost a three out of ten."
"We use Office 365 and this solution is free for me to use with the package we have. We have plans to increase the usage of Microsoft Power Automate."
"It's more fragmented licensing, where every little thing that you add, you get an extra license cost."
"Initially, we had a Microsoft account for Office 365. Later, we discovered that our license included access to Power Automate at no additional cost. There was a small fee for additional features, but it was negligible compared to the benefits. There are not any additional fees required to use the solution."
"This is a cost-effective RPA solution."
"Comparatively, WinAutomation is cheaper than the other automation tools. When we purchased the license, it was around $50 or $60 per user most probably per month."
"We've got a subscription package. We are on a monthly package of $40. We've got some discount because we're a big corporate client of Microsoft 365 and other solutions, but the standard price of the package that we use is $40. For the product, you don't have to pay anything extra. If you're using a partner, you need to pay for their coding, advice, and services, which is a separate cost. The majority of the features are available for free for anyone who is on Microsoft 365."
