Cloud security has improved remote access and has reduced costs for smaller client sites
I have used Cloudflare One's Identity-Aware Proxy, and it is quite straightforward from what I have seen so far. The app registration on the Azure side integrates fully into Cloudflare, and I am very satisfied with that part because it is easy to set up. The integration of Cloudflare One's Secure Web Gateway and Zero Trust Network Access works without any issues. That part is pretty automatic, and if you complete the rest of the setup, it comes together by itself with no issues from my side. What makes it nice is that we can actually start replacing on-site firewalls at this stage for the smaller clients because it does not matter if they go to a coffee shop or work from home; they are still secured by the same connection. The hops get shorter and you get better latency. We have done testing to see if it is better. One thing that we did notice with our proof of concept with our current client is that they have people connecting from the UK. When they used their previous VPN solution, uploading CAD drawings and other files to the server took a long time. They mentioned that it is much quicker on Cloudflare One's solution. I definitely believe that is part of the improved performance, and I am satisfied with that as well. What is nice about Cloudflare One is that it makes the setup easier and also easier to train technicians to maintain it. Compared to legacy systems, we do not need to get fancy firewalls in place that are costly. That is definitely also a cost-saver with Cloudflare One.

Email protection has stopped phishing and secured cloud collaboration across all devices
Deployment is very easy since it is API based and does not require any harsh configuration. The DMARC management and DMARC forensic is the best feature. Their security engine provides everything such as DLP and encryption. Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration provides almost 100% security for phishing emails. Their DMARC management is very standard compared with any other brand or any other email security provider. The best thing is that on a single tenant I can manage multiple services such as Harmony Endpoint, Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Harmony Browser, mobile security, EDR, XDR, which is endpoint security, and SaaS. All of these services have a single dashboard. When giving security to email, in Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, I do not need to change any MX record or any DNS entry changes. I simply add one text record for DMARC and no changes are needed in the MX record of that particular domain. This is very easy because Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration is in the tenant of Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace only. Check Point works on zero trust network technology. They are not only giving a feature of artificial intelligence but also machine learning summary. Machine learning summary is also given when they catch any kind of incidents such as phishing attacks, malware attacks, and ransomware attacks. They always provide real-time alerts for that. Real-time URL analysis is provided for phishing links and all these things. It gives 100% output for that and shows the source from where the malicious URL comes from. Additionally, they always provide threat emulation. This means the simulation of what danger happens when I click that particular URL is also provided in their report. It gives 100% protection to all BYOD devices. For example, one single Microsoft 365 account can be configured on different five devices. Many companies give email access to their employees on their mobile as well. In that case, if any malicious file is on the mobile and the employee would like to save it on OneDrive, due to this security, the user and administrator will get a real-time alert that this file is malicious and cannot be uploaded to OneDrive. This not only saves money but also saves time and prevents the organization from such cyber attacks.

Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection could be improved if they can offer a remote app for ease of use. If the team is not working from a workstation, we usually have the service access through our laptops, and if there's an interface on a mobile basis, that would be useful. Ease of use for our newer recruits is an area for improvement. When someone just joins our team, we want an easy onboarding process for them to understand why Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection is in place. Sometimes we do not have the capacity to train someone, but we would like to ensure that Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection is able to provide that training information to get them up to speed on what our system is, what our setup is in the Mimecast platform. Maybe implementing a deep dive AI tool that understands our organization much better and can relay information to anyone that we're training would help. This way, we can pull training parameters to track areas where our technical teams can improve their understanding and knowledge base and skill base into making use of Mimecast Insider Risk Management and Data Protection better.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It will take the blow rather than our applications should an attack occur."
"Cloudflare is by far the most effective solution that I have come across."
"The blocking feature is very good."
"Cloudflare One has assisted in securing my remote workforce through a SASE solution with Cloudflare One and the Workers part, although I am not currently using the Workers component."
"Cloudflare DDoS mitigates DDoS attacks."
"The solution has different options that can be used to differentiate DDoS attacks."
"For Cloudflare Access, I am using the free plan...The most valuable feature is their protection."
"I'm very satisfied with the environment and the dashboard."
"One of the best features is the analysis and emulation carried out with each file attached to the emails, which makes each of the deliveries we make via email more secure."
"The solution helps to block spam emails."
"It is fast and quite effective in terms of preventing any security incidents."
"As a comprehensive solution, Check Point offers a very granular and best-in-class experience."
"Being able to mass quarantine and remove emails from end users' mailboxes has become extremely important to us as we have grown in size."
"Getting reports and finding threats in the console is easy."
"For us, I prefer Check Point before Palo Alto and before other brands because Check Point is most effective in attack mitigation and attack detection."
"It fully protects colleagues from visiting insecure sites and browsing in unhealthy environments."
"If you are looking for a reliable, private cloud, comprehensive endpoint backup solution CrashPlan is one of the best choices you can make!"
"It has saved many users from the loss of hundreds of hours of work."
"Customer service is amazing with Code42, as everyone is very willing to help, very professional, and they take pride in their product and see this as a value."
"Customer Service: Very high. The customer support folks we worked with were outstanding! Technical Support: Superb! Every time we call they answer and are ready to help."
"Some of the most valuable assets that I have found are just the ease of use of the product and that I can access the files anywhere."
"We are so very thankful for the stability and reliability that Code42's CrashPlan offers us."
"It's simply the best option out there for multiplatform continuous backup, and I would like to think that the developers would prefer market penetration even in the small business sector to the marginally higher projection stability of higher-volume licensing."
"There are a couple of things. One of them is that they have what they call Incydr. Their detection and response solution to the insider threat area is called Incydr. That gives visibility to the clients that have widely dispersed employee bases due to work from home, or that had a dispersed workforce predating any of the work from home requirements. Even though they might not be inside the organization physically, they're inside the organization. It allows us to get some visibility into what people are doing, what the context is, and how to control what might be the potential for intellectual property theft or file exposure."

Cons

"I would like them to include a VPN feature to provide a secure connection to the data center."
"The onboarding process can be improved a little bit."
"The free plan has limitations. For example, I can only set up three rules, and the application firewall is unavailable."
"The pricing is an area that can be improved. Pricing, as far as I recall, was the source of our problems."
"Feedback could be enhanced. While I work efficiently with Clover as a partner in Mexico City, sometimes the information and requests are easier to manage with more concrete solutions."
"The tool should provide on-premise versions. Currently, all versions are cloud-based."
"Operating and tuning the product is difficult."
"Our subscription plan for the solution has a limitation of bot signatures."
"There are a few areas for improvement. One is the occasional sluggishness or latency, which is likely due to the cloud-based nature of the solution. So, the performance can be better."
"I would like Check Point to extend its coverage to include more cloud applications."
"The cost is a little bit expensive."
"They must provide security to more email service providers."
"Check Point must develop one mobile app for iPhone users, Android phone users, and Windows phone users or at least for the administrator to see that dashboard on that particular app."
"I would love to have their ticket resolution process as fast as possible."
"Sometimes junior staff members would ask scripted questions without having enough knowledge to address the core issue immediately."
"The only area for improvement is the language of the support. The support is only available in English."
"Upgrade process a bit time consuming, but worth the time."
"In the places we have slower connections it has a time out problem."
"I am waiting for them to develop an app that can be installed on a smartphone or tablet that backs up the data as it does for computers."
"More security would be nice, I would love to be able to remotely brick a stolen laptop and it's hard disk drive (HDD)."
"It is a little confusing for users when they are replacing a laptop - a couple have wiped out their backup by choosing "adopt" before they do a restore."
"There doesn't seem to be any feature that is lacking."
"The GUI doesn't always show the most current settings upon opening a screen."
"Reporting could be stronger. With the API you can do a lot of reporting, but it is not built in very robustly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cloudflare Zero Trust Platform's pricing is good."
"The solution's pricing lacks transparency."
"The prices are slightly expensive."
"My company has to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There are no hidden charges apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"The solution is not that expensive."
"The pricing of the solution is cheap. The licensing cost is also very low. I rate the cost and pricing a three out of ten."
"The price tag is no longer $200,000, but rather $300,000 to $400,000. It's twice."
"The pricing is somewhere in the middle. I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten."
"Check Point is more expensive. That's the honest truth. So far, it's a good value for the money."
"Having information stolen by a hacker would be more expensive than purchasing a license."
"The pricing is in the middle. Check Point's pricing is not the highest in the competitive market."
"I rate the platform’s pricing a seven and a half."
"The difference between [Check Point and its competitors] boiled down to money. Price-wise, Check Point was very good, it was very competitive."
"I'm in this business as a system integrator, so I need to suggest Check Point to some customers who are comparing products. I sell Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto solutions. In terms of licensing, this solution is quite competitive but very costly. For someone looking at security as a primary concern, they should only invest in Check Point. For a customer who is looking at security combined with pricing, Check Point might not be the core solution for them. In today's market, customers are looking for effective security with efficient pricing, and Check Point is not suitable for these types of customers."
"I rate the product's pricing a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"Reasonable cost, quick and easy implementation, and transparent."
"They were the best solution and surprisingly enough, the cheapest."
"The pricing is reasonable. It's my understanding that the cost is about $7 for unlimited storage in the cloud per server."
"It is 100% worth the cost to get and keep the support, especially when setting it up."
"It used to be a good solution for SOHO in particular as it had unlimited storage for a reasonable price. However, their pricing model has changed and they are now primarily targeting enterprise users."
"It was expensive. It was more expensive than Eureka, and it was more expensive than Barracuda Backup, but what we got was a full team. They didn't come in and nickel and dime us. They provided the assistance we needed. They didn't say that they need to charge us for something or it is going to take another statement of work. It was all bundled into it... We pay for the software maintenance. It is probably 18% or 20% of the license fee for rev releases."
