Remote Access Security Reinforced with Real-Time Device Protection
Dashboard customization is needed for improvements. While the centralized management is strong, the dashboard could offer more flexibility. It would be helpful to tailor views for different roles, such as IT or security support. Regarding needed improvements, custom report building could be enhanced. Current reports are informative, and a drag-and-drop builder would allow teams to create tailored views for compliance, executive summaries, or operational metrics. For further improvements, enhancing threat simulation and testing would be valuable. Building a threat simulation tool and adding native capabilities to simulate phishing, malware, or ransomware scenarios will help teams validate protection and train users without relying on third-party tools.

Cross-platform capability enhances security integration
The single agent, combined with the EDR system, delivers additional information and data for the EDR. Regarding the use cases, or maybe it fits better into another question about the motivation of the customers, I can see two approaches. The first approach is where the customer has an existing EDR system running, and their contract comes to an end. They are looking to either prolong it, renew it, continue with the current system, or look for something cheaper or better. When they reevaluate the contract, it's a sales approach to suggest that for a similar amount of money, not very much more, they can get something much better. It's not only a plain EDR or plain antivirus system - it's antivirus plus EDR. The difference in price is not much. Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers. Having one system for all platforms is essential. This has helped in two ways. The majority of customers want one thing for all, however, some customers definitely want two systems, servers separated from workstations. I have a big data center for banks, and they separate Windows Servers from Linux Servers. It is important for them to have two different systems. By providing this multi-operating system capability, I have engaged with customers via the Linux servers because the Windows servers are handled differently, so they were looking for a second different system, which opened the door for us.

Pros

"Check Point offers a comprehensive solution that will not only create a firewall but will also protect the traffic of data from an application usage standpoint."
"The anti-ransomware blade is great; it stops device encryption automatically and has caught hundreds of cases on client laptops."
"Check Point Antivirus has continuously scanned each and every file before reaching our network, and this feature gives full security confidence to feel safe from malware and ransomware attacks."
"The most valuable feature is Harmony Endpoint's encapsulation system which captures the whole system and protects it against other functions. It is really good for the Check Point Harmony specialists."
"The most valuable feature is the integration with CheckPoint's firewalls. You can have one port, and follow the logs from both Endpoint and firewall security."
"The product is stable."
"I came to the realization that this was the best solution for the need and the budget I had available and it hasn't disappointed me since."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint provides greater security as it is impacting positively and has reduced incidents and saved many malicious threats since implementation."
"I would rate the overall product as an eight out of ten."
"The solution's most valuable feature is its AI detection algorithm part, which helps and is Cybereason's way of detecting the unknown, not just the signature-based threats."
"The tool's detection range works fine. Its most valuable features are its ease of employment and lightweightness. It's not heavy on resources. We focus on malware and ransomware detection."
"Especially for the antivirus, the cross-platform capability is significant, as it's for Windows and Linux workstations and servers."

Cons

"Check Point Harmony Endpoint could improve mobile device management (MDM)."
"Pattern-based security is not the latest architecture and it is insufficient because every day, there are approximately 380,000 new vulnerabilities and threats."
"One way Check Point Harmony Endpoint can be improved is through extended audit log retention, as one commonly cited limitation is the short retention period for audit logs, currently capped at around 14 days in some configurations, and extending that window would help security teams conduct deeper forensic investigations and meet compliance requirements more easily."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint could improve mobile device management (MDM)."
"The application control and URL filtering features are not very strong."
"Technical support can be a bit slow at times."
"Endpoint security programs can be a bit pricey, but you are receiving basically the same type of protection from each software program."
"We'd like the solution to kindly start this service offering on SaaS and PaaS models also."
"Integrating other tools is sometimes an issue when using Cybereason Next-Generation Antivirus."
"I have been told several times that the stability of the sensor, not the back end, is an issue."
"I have been told several times that the stability of the sensor, not the back end, is an issue."
"Cybereason Next-Generation Antivirus is not available in the local language, which can be inconvenient."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Check Point Harmony Endpoint is an expensive solution. My company's clients pay INR 1,000 for each user of the product, while Check Point also provides an option to pay INR 2,300 for three years."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten. It costs around ₱2,200 per endpoint."
"Licensing comes free in that first year or is included in the base package. From a commercial point of view, it really just is the renewal cost, rather than a one-time fixed cost or buy-in."
"Check Point Harmony Endpoint is cost effective."
"The tool’s cost has increased by almost 300% in two years."
"Check Point Antivirus is an expensive solution, especially for clients that don't have as many endpoints. Check Point Antivirus has a free trial for one month, and within the trial period, there's no limit to the number of endpoints it can support, but when the trial expires, you'll have to buy the license, which covers one year. You can't buy a license for the solution without being a Check Point partner first."
"There are three different licensing models including basic, advanced, and complete, and it needs to be selected according to the endpoint."
"In terms of licensing, have a buffer zone around your projects in terms of the amount of endpoints that you want to have. You can always have more, but it is best to leave room for a little increase or growth."
"I rate the solution's pricing a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"I rate the solution's pricing a four out of ten. Its pricing is justified."
