Log pipelines have reduced daily data volume and now simplify traffic analysis
Overall, the pipelines and all the features are good with Cribl. The UI is good. Just sometimes, when I actually started using Cribl, I faced the issue where I was not able to connect the nodes. The pipeline is structured in a certain way, then the data will be routed to there, and something of that nature. I was very much confused about their whole products, such as Data Lake and pipelines. It's possible that at that time I didn't take any university courses, which is why I did not know much. But if they can give an intro on how we can connect nodes, or they can provide simple use cases showing what you can do with Cribl, it would help. If you just need to add the source and the destination and pre-build some proper workflow, then it will be easy for new customers to navigate through Cribl.

Pros

"Cribl is specifically designed to reduce the data costs associated with the destination platform, which is one of its core offerings."
"The ease of management and configuration of Cribl Edge features is highly beneficial—I have many thousands of Cribl Edge nodes deployed, and it's very easy to make configuration changes across the board or update the agent."
"We save about 75% percent of our costs by processing network and firewall logs through Cribl."
"My favorite option in Cribl is the Stream product."
"The deployment was smooth across all seven projects I have, everything was in place with documents and step-by-step guidance readily available, and Cribl support is very good because whenever we got stuck, we just needed to open a ticket and the support team was very responsive and helped us get the deployment done quickly."
"Cribl intelligently formats syslogs, extracting the data and reducing their size by almost 30 to 40 percent in my experience, stripping out null values and discarding what is not required so only what is needed is presented."
"Cribl Cloud has no issues with handling large data ingestion volumes."
"Cribl actually has sorted out our problems, but it will probably be better."
"The anomaly detection feature helps with maintaining the system's health. It is regarding our IT incident center."

"ManageEngine Applications Manager maintains the historical data and it's easy for us to analyze the trends and patterns and fix them accordingly."

Cons

"The user interface is acceptable, but I think a person who is just starting to use it will need to go through documentation because there is a steep learning curve to become familiar with Cribl Stream."
"It is very difficult to learn as a beginner."
"The speed was fast. The quality, however, there wasn't a solution just because I think it was a bug and it was never fixed as far as I know."
"Their documentation should be updated."
"The documentation part could be better. Their documentation could be updated, as new features often outdated existing information."
"Cribl can improve by providing automated analytics and advanced parsing capabilities since it handles data at its core."
"Cribl's UI is quite simple and minimal, helping the developer and team get familiar with it earlier; however, it provides functionalities in a very deep way, and the function section is quite messy and includes too many functionalities which are generally not required at an amateur level."
"The current engineer certification is quite rigorous and not easy to pass."
"The agent often crashes when there is too much load on the application side. If a sudden storm of data comes in, the agent crashes down most of the time."
"At the moment, we are not finding this solution to be very stable. We've had a lot of calls with the vendor to sort things out."
"I would like the solution to improve the ability to track services."
"The dashboards in the interface need a lot of work."
