Provides effective real-time threat detection with potential for cost optimization
Some features such as device control, firewall management, and file analysis are standalone products that we need to purchase separately. If these features came out of the box within the product, it would be much more beneficial for us. Other providers such as SentinelOne include these features in their base product. We attended a CrowdStrike Falcon event where they discussed some shallow AI features, but we cannot see these in our panel yet. We work with different solutions such as Darktrace and SocRadar, where AI features are automatically displayed in our dashboards after release. However, for CrowdStrike Falcon, we cannot see these features.

Good discovery and vulnerability features and is easy to use
I think it's a good product for risk-based or exposure-based vulnerability management. It gives me the ability to identify potential weaknesses in my environment quickly. Once those vulnerabilities get identified on the console, it is only a matter of performing those actions. I would rate it nine out of ten.

"I like Falcon's threat detection and endpoint investigation features. It's a user-friendly solution."
"The most valuable feature of CrowdStrike Falcon for me is its unified sensor, applicable across all models."
"The machine learning behavior for anomaly detection is a valuable feature. It helps identify any suspicious or unusual activities within the system."
"The best benefit of CrowdStrike Falcon is 99% MITRE coverage."
"I haven't had any issues with bugs or glitches. I haven't had a problem with stability so far."
"The ability to remote into other devices for investigation and the way it presents a graphical representation of the detection, like the parent-child process, are valuable features."
"The solution is very easy to set up."
"The feature of vulnerability management and discovery is what I use."
"The product gives us a lot of insight."
"For me, the setup has been an easy process."
"I think it's a good product for risk-based or exposure-based vulnerability management."

Cons

"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by having an easier way to search and use the interface for extracting queries from the data. The interface could improve."
"I have worked with their technical support on several problems that were never fully resolved."
"CrowdStrike Suites and the way that it bundles things can be a bit challenging. It should be easier to integrate with the other stuff that they sell or be included with what they sell. We have one piece, then they are talking about another piece on vulnerability management all of the sudden, and we don't own that piece. We can see it in the console, but nothing shows up. It simply appears within the tool as an option, but we can't use it without purchasing it."
"The overall cost of CrowdStrike Falcon could be reduced."
"I would like CrowdStrike to provide some correlation in the threat analysis, so we can visualize things better."
"CrowdStrike Falcon could improve by adding manual scanning or serverless scanning. It is not available at this time."
"If CrowdStrike can further expand its support for XDR compatibility, that would give it an edge over all the other competing new products."
"I would like them to improve the correlation of data in the search algorithms. When we run an investigation, malware, phishing, etc., I want to look at multiple endpoints at once to correlate that data to see the likenesses, e.g., how are they not alike or what systems and processes are running across those systems? I don't want to have to run the same search in their Spotlight module five, 10, 15, or 100 times to get 100 different results, copy that data out, and then correlate it on my own. In a very simple way, I want to be able to load up a comma-delimited list giving me the spotlight data on these X amount of hosts, letting me search for it quickly. We have had to go back to CrowdStrike, and say, "Our search are taking far too long for even one host." They did bump up the cores and that did improve performance, but it is still kind of slow to get that Spotlight data. That is probably our biggest pain point. I think that needs some help. I understand this kind of information access is probably not the easiest thing to do. It is probably a big ask depending on how their back-end is setup."
"It would be nice if the product provided an agent for enforcing policies."
"The sensor update is a challenge that Tenable needs to address."
"The sensor update is a challenge that Tenable needs to address. Sometimes they behave abruptly, requiring me to rework reinstalling the sensors on the endpoints."
"Tenable needs to provide a better way to manage private clouds."
"The product has limited reporting capabilities and it isn't great at allowing for customization in reports."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Years ago, when we bought CrowdStrike, you got everything it had. I was a little concerned when they broke this out into a la carte modules where you can buy EDR, Spotlight, etc., picking and choosing off the menu. I was a little worried that the solution would get watered down. However, I realized in my previous organization when we had the full suite that there were a bunch of features in it that we didn't have time to operationalize. So, I warmed up to it. I get the whole, "Look, you can pick and choose. Okay, everybody buys a steak, but do you want mashed potatoes, or do you want lobster mac and cheese?" So, you can pick the sides that you want, so you can buy the solution that you want and operationalize versus paying a lot of money and getting a bunch of things, but not using 60 percent of the tools in the box."
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is expensive and should be reduced."
"All I can say about the licensing cost is that it's negotiable."
"The solution isn't very costly; it's affordable."
"The pricing and licensing are fairly good. It is definitely not a cheap product, but I have felt that it is worth the money that we spent. So, we have discussed it in the past, and were like, "Yes, it is probably pricier than some other solutions, but we also feel they really are the leader. We are very comfortable with their level of expertise. So, it's kind of worth the price that we pay.""
"The price of CrowdStrike Falcon is reasonable."
"The pricing of CrowdStrike Falcon is competitive."
"Our licensing fees were between $50,000 and $60,000 per year, which was pretty expensive for a small business."
"The pricing is fair."
