Automated workflows have simplified disaster recovery and improve data protection efficiency
For the time being, Dell Data Protection Suite is better because it supports Fiber Channel, 10G, 25G, and stable connectivity. it communicates better, it connects to Tape Drive on Fiber Channel in SAN . The limitation lies in the tape drive or the library have only FC connectivity. That is also better, and I think there are no more improvements needed. We are getting very prompt responses from customers who are satisfied. The additional feature I would like to see in the future to make better compression ratio because customers are mostly asking for compression. Compression depends on the data; if the data includes video, PDF, or images, it cannot be compressed much. Text and other data can be compressed very high with a high compression ratio.

A virtual deduplication backup appliance that protects physical and virtual data across remote sites, the datacenter and cloud deployments
Given its ease of use and management, I believe there are no specific caveats that users need to be aware of during the setup of DXRIS for backups. The process was straightforward, and I did not encounter any challenges or issues. As for a rating on a scale of one to ten, with one being the worst and ten being the best, I would rate the Quantum DXI Series a nine. My deduction is primarily influenced by personal preferences, particularly regarding the user interface and it is a highly commendable system, I would rate it a solid nine out of ten.

Pros

"Dell Data Protection Suite is a comprehensive product with comprehensive tools."
"Automated workflows have impacted our data protection strategy very positively because we just need to configure them first."
"Dell Data Protection Suite is a value-for-money product, providing end-to-end data surety and a lesser footprint of data while backing up."
"The essential point is its reliability and fast recovery of information from corporate equipment."
"Dell Data Protection Suite is a comprehensive suite offering virus-free and ransomware-free data protection."
"The best features that Dell Data Protection Suite offers are strong ransomware protection and reliable backup recovery across different workloads."
"From my end experience, the biggest impact of Dell Data Protection Suite has been operational efficiency and storage optimization."
"Dell Data Protection Suite has helped manage our storage costs wonderfully, as we were able to achieve up to 10.56 times deduplication."
"While the challenges posed by the difficulties were significant, they prompted the replacement of problematic components, resulting in the resolution of issues. Importantly, there were no substantial ongoing concerns. Regarding the overall performance, it has been consistently excellent."
"I am impressed with the tool's technical alliance with Veeam and Veritas."

Cons

"The biggest frustration I have with Dell Data Protection Suite is the initial setup."
"While Dell DPS is a powerful solution, it is expensive, which allows competitors to find their place in the market. The deployment is complex and not simplified, requiring professional expertise."
"Dell Data Protection Suite could provide support for more virtualization platforms."
"The learning curve is relatively steep, the complexity of some advanced configurations is challenging, and the interface could be more intuitive."
"Dell Data Protection Suite could be improved in a few areas based on real-world use."
"For now, I find that Commvault and Veeam are stronger in that aspect."
"From a data protection perspective, Dell is moving away from Dell Data Protection Suite to focus on PowerProtect Data Manager."
"The pricing of Dell Data Protection Suite is not much high; it is a little high compared to Huawei."
"Perhaps the most notable area for enhancement lies in the web interface for management. The current limitations in LDAP editing capabilities are not addressed in the UI, and I haven't observed any recent updates. It's possible that the new version of the DXI service incorporates improvements in the GUI, but I cannot confirm. While there is room for improvement in the current GUI, it remains a relatively minor issue. Overall, the system is comprehensive, covering aspects such as reports on latency and networking, leaving little room for additional enhancements in those areas."
"The product needs to improve performance while scaling out. It also needs to improve stability."
