The product is highly dependent on other tools, and it doesn’t have reporting functions
The product is quite poor in integration with the back end. We can’t report out of it very well. It's highly dependent on other tools. If it doesn't integrate properly, it can be quite complex to work with. I don't see any value in having a learning experience platform over and above a working LMS like Cornerstone. Getting data out as an administrator has always been bad because the product doesn’t have its own reporting functions. It has a reporting tool added to it. It's not part of the core system. It's very hard to report on data accurately and know that the data is accurate because it doesn't always reflect what's actually in the tool.

Integrated employee data has improved HR coordination but reporting and interface still need work
The GUI of SAP SuccessFactors Learning is still not very good. The drop-downs are too limited. One thing I want to have is an advisory banner with highlighted font that employees can visibly see during login, but support indicated this cannot be done. I have already raised this request to the support team, and they mentioned that the same request has come from other companies.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The integrations work fine."
"Safety is the most robust aspect of this platform."
"The product offers a lot of information which we can share with systems."
"The best feature of SAP SuccessFactors Learning for me is the assignment profile. It's a rather specific feature, but this is what comes to mind."
"The most valuable features are continuous performance, activities, achievements, objectives for performance appraisal, and development learning."
"Proven track record as the Vendor and SI spend hundreds of hours developing, testing, and researching the system (this results in fewer bugs, threats, and a more functional system)."
"I like the product because it has logically synchronized modules."
"The analytics and reporting features are very helpful."
"SAP SuccessFactors Learning's most valuable features are accessibility and updated UX, as the solution can be accessed from outside of the office network and the user's experience is good."

Cons

"It's highly dependent on other tools."
"The course analytics feature takes a long time to load data, which is especially problematic for managers who want to quickly access reports and dashboards."
"The product's configuration process needs improvement."
"The product needs to improve its escalation system."
"There is no portal within the tool for collaboration."
"SAP SuccessFactors Learning's e-learning portal has a very poor interface when compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent. It's a very basic interface, but I know that it has a very good foundation."
"Some features of SAP SuccessFactors Learning that require improvement include reporting tools and dashboarding, which are not so good, and integration is really difficult."
"The GUI and dashboards are areas in the solution with shortcomings where improvements are required."
"I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool’s pricing is too much for what it is."
"Compared to Workday, SAP SuccessFactors Learning is not an expensive solution."
"I rate the price for SAP SuccessFactors Learning an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest."
"The price of SAP SuccessFactors Learning could be better, it is expensive. There is an annual subscription. It's overpriced for small enterprises."
"The tool's licensing model is very straightforward...You will get the relevant mail from SAP, and accordingly, you have to proceed with the provisioning enablement, after which you can start the configuration."
"The solution is really cheap."
"You need to procure licensing and it is expensive."
"My company does have to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs of the solution. My company considers the solution to be worth its price, but we don't consider it to be a cheap solution."
"The licensing cost for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is rather expensive, but it's not the only SAP tool my company uses in the suite, so it's very hard to compare prices."
