Easy to administer and use, integrates well, and helps with compliance management
Their reporting side of things could be better. The reporting dashboard or user interface reporting dashboard is not as intuitive as it potentially could be, but the problem with that is that every organization is going to want something slightly different. So, it's hard, but it is an area where it could improve. To do that, they would need to make some humongous improvements around being able to build your own dashboard within the system, which is pretty huge. One feature that a few of my clients have been requesting is CPD. We should be able to capture CPD points for users within the system to be able to report on those.

Enhancing employee education and powerful training features but has integration challenges
We have been using SAP SuccessFactors Learning to educate employees on various topics. It helps create content and review the number of employees who have completed training and their knowledge of those topics SAP SuccessFactors Learning has been used for business training, security learning, and…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"From a learning management system admin perspective, it has a user-friendly interface, but the functionality is deep. So, you can automate people in and out of courses. It lowers the general admin of an LMS admin so that I can focus more on value-adding things for the organization I'm working with."
"This is a very scalable solution. We had over 10,000 students in our instance and their billing model makes scaling affordable to do."
"This complete product is highly scalable. Licensing is not based on number of total users on the system but rather only on active users. Litmos only charge for the number of users engaged in training. This is what makes this solution ideal for scale."
"It incorporates the majority of the elements."
"The plug-and-play format can be deployed immediately which is unlike its competitors that take three to four months."
"Content Author removes the need for a third-party solution for content creation."
"Its pricing is good, and its performance is good when it works."
"It's very easy to design content and create training models within the app, so you don't always have to use a third-party tool to develop your e-learning."
"The most valuable features of the solution were the deployment and onboarding."
"I find the user interface user-friendly compared to the initial application."
"SAP SuccessFactors Learning's most valuable features are accessibility and updated UX. The solution can be accessed from outside of the office network and the user's experience is good."
"The platform now offers an improved user interface with options like custom cards and banners that enhance the user experience."
"The best feature of SAP SuccessFactors Learning for me is the assignment profile. It's a rather specific feature, but this is what comes to mind."
"The analytics and reporting features are very helpful."
"The solution is a user-friendly application for learning, designing, and setting up courses."
"Safety is the most robust aspect of this platform."

Cons

"One feature that a few of my clients have been requesting is CPD. We should be able to capture CPD points for users within the system to be able to report on those."
"The reporting in Litmos could be improved. It is difficult to pull accurate reporting based on how the solution is set up and parameters are selected."
"The solution lags in defined security parameters with only three predefined roles available."
"The rules are not very flexible in terms of administration. They have a predefined system with three standard rules that cannot be customized, modified, added, or removed."
"Lacks a variety of language options."
"The dashboards for this solution could be improved as they are not of the same standard and detail as those seen in Power BI. The graphics for the reporting could also be improved."
"You cannot make a course optional, so if I assign a course to someone, the system assumes that they have to complete it."
"The auto-assign feature that auto assigns courses to learners and puts them into a different learning path has had a bug for the last year and a half. My team has spent numerous hours trying to troubleshoot and fix that, but it's still broken. Until they fix that, it's going to be a higher admin burden for people to manage."
"This solution does not support right to left for the Arabic Language, and the Arabic text support is very bad."
"The flexibility and user-friendliness of the user's front end can be improved."
"The technical support team has room for improvement."
"The product must make the integrations more seamless."
"SAP SuccessFactors Learning's e-learning portal has a very poor interface when compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent. It's a very basic interface, but I know that it has a very good foundation."
"I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it."
"What needs improvement in SAP SuccessFactors Learning is the user interface. The user management and the integration of the whole suite could also be improved. The solution also needs to be modernized because at the moment, it's a little bit outdated. It's old-fashioned, and though it has a data import feature, that's just plain outdated. SAP SuccessFactors Learning doesn't have any cutting-edge features."
"SuccessFactors Learning solely serves as a plain learning experience platform without any pre-existing content."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is priced per user license."
"The solution is priced per user which can get expensive."
"If I have a domain and I want to link my custom domain to SAP Litmos, and if I want to remove the branding of the SAP Litmos, then they charge a large amount for it. It's not included in your subscription plan which we have purchased from them. In the last two to three years, we have never bought the custom domain. We have never linked our custom domain to SAP Litmos. The barrier for us is the high pricing. It is not a reasonable price."
"There are three different pricing models. One is only to use the platform and to add your own learning material. The second plan includes the learning management system plus 2000 plus pre built courses on different areas including leadership, software skills, HR and IT related training. The third package allows you to integrate the system with tools such Salesforce or other CRMs."
"I don't know what the pricing model is at this point in time. I'm a consultant. The organizations that have purchased Litmos engage me to help them implement it, or Litmos engage me to be their external learning management system administrator. So, I don't see the rates, but based on the general comments that I've heard, it seems cost-effective and competitive with its competitors."
"The pricing is really good. Its pricing is probably the most competitive I've seen for an LMS. If you need help with doing any type of custom design or customization, such as code design or anything like that with the site, then you have to use their people services, which would be an extra cost."
"This solution comes at a high price point. We also paid $4500 for a migration specialist from Litmos to assist in moving our content over. You are billed every month based on the number of users who have logged in and completed training."
"When we first purchased our subscription, we underestimated how many people we would have within a billing period. We had to adjust that in the first six months. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they charge a per user rate for a certain number, and you get a discount as the number of users goes up. It scales, which is a fairly reasonable way to build a pricing model."
"The price of SAP SuccessFactors Learning could be better, it is expensive. There is an annual subscription. It's overpriced for small enterprises."
"The additional costs in the solution are based on usage and in regard to the functionalities or services leveraged."
"The pricing changes and the license amount is quite costly."
"The solution is really cheap."
"A company is required to pay annual licensing fees."
"I rate the price for SAP SuccessFactors Learning an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a one out of ten."
"Compared to Workday, SAP SuccessFactors Learning is not an expensive solution."
