Integrates job architecture and skills data to support strategic workforce planning
What I find valuable about Eightfold Talent Intelligence Platform is that you integrate your data from skills and job architecture into one platform, and the power of their algorithms are the strongest that I have seen, with no other competitor enabling you to do things in a single platform. It also provides the ability to API connect into your HR information system, whether it be Workday, Oracle, or SuccessFactors, giving you much more AI enablement and more connection with external data, showing you how things are trending that better inform your internal decisions. The predictive analytics of Eightfold is strong. The reason for that is because of the way in which their algorithms are built on the basis of data that is looking at how you generate, in essence, career mobility, which makes them stronger than others. Because they work on a quarterly product development life cycle, what I have heard indicates that Eightfold is always going to be three years ahead of your HR information systems that are trying to add this capability into their platform.

We benefit from built-in automations like notifications and standard processes, but customer support needs improvement
Learning Sympa HR was a mix of basics that were easy to grasp and some aspects that required more understanding due to customization. While it adapted to some of our specific needs, there were still areas that needed further tailoring, especially in integrations with other systems like Zoom. Currently, we're not using AI features in Sympa, but we're considering it as a future project to automate manual tasks in HR, although we're mindful of data privacy concerns when integrating AI tools with confidential personal data. I would rate Sympa HR at a seven out of ten. While it has some fundamental issues like allowing multiple leave applications for the same dates, it also offers a nice user experience. I would recommend it with reservations. If you're clear about your needs and can manage some shortcomings, it's a good option. However, if you require more reliable system support, you might want to explore other alternatives.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I really like the ability to run campaigns with pipelines and events. Matching prospects based on skills and the calibration process has been most valuable."
"Stability is fantastic. In the two years we've used it, I've only experienced one outage."
"The CRM is a useful feature to create user communities that we can actively engage in on an ongoing basis."
"What I find valuable about Eightfold Talent Intelligence Platform is that you integrate your data from skills and job architecture into one platform, and the power of their algorithms are the strongest that I have seen, with no other competitor enabling you to do things in a single platform."
"This solution has allowed our team to focus on higher value activities and to make sure that they are optimizing time to identify talent and match it to opportunities. They can then focus on the layers where humans are necessary."
"It really expedites the whole process and helps the end-customer hone in on what they need. With the evolution to remote work that we are currently going through, there's much more of a need to tailor recruiting."
"The ability to get matched to candidates is certainly valuable. In real time, you are able to adjust your description of the work and the project you need done in order to match you with the best candidates."
"The most valuable aspect of this solution is the insight we receive on current employees."
"Sympa HR was helpful since it helped me manage HR master data in a single system."
"One of my favorite features of Sympa HR is its customization options. You can tailor it to meet your specific needs, which is really beneficial for HR processes."

Cons

"From my perspective, I think the usability could use some attention. Eightfold.ai offers modules for talent acquisition, talent management, and other areas like projects. They try to use a common UI for all of them, but it really needs to be more persona-based. That's the thing that I struggle with the most."
"The sales representatives that I reached out to on LinkedIn weren't very helpful because once they realized that it was for a smaller company, they weren't as interested."
"There are some small product features that could be enhanced. Ease of use and the recruiter user experience could be improved. Moving through certain stages involves many clicks which can be time consuming."
"Eightfold could be improved if they had more round table conversations about features and their roadmap. They should actively seek out feedback from their customers."
"The tagging feature is not as in depth and easy to use as I would've hoped for. Although you can create tags for candidates, there's no way to report all those tags and see what tags are already created."
"The challenge I had was that they were outsourcing their implementation to third parties before you then re-engaged with them, which created a disconnect in terms of the implementation and integration into your overall IT architecture."
"We're doing user testing now, and on the calibration page, there's no publish button. I have to go to overview to publish it. It could be user error, but it would be nice to be able to easily figure out where buttons are and what they do."
"We have had a couple of challenges with some of the things that we're currently trying to build out in our HCM application, and other things within the portfolio, but those aren't customer-facing issues."
"Sympa HR has some fundamental issues like allowing multiple leave applications for the same dates. That needs improvement."
"As a developer, I can say that some of Sympa HR's back-end functionalities, like the API systems, aren't fully fledged or modern enough, a downside of which Sympa is aware."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being cheap and ten being expensive."
"The pricing is fair compared to the market."
"This is a fairly expensive solution compared to others on the market. However, the solution offers functionality of a number of other different solutions combined. From that perspective, it is competitively priced."
"The pricing is fairly competitive. The licensing is fairly flexible to have all employees take advantage of it in any given capacity."
