Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Cloud-based protection has simplified daily client support and keeps threats under control
The problems that we are facing with policy adoption include slow adoption, as it takes more than five minutes to adopt policy on client computers. ESET Network Attack Protection sometimes helps in reducing network-level intrusions, but sometimes it prevents local devices on the network, which are well-known and good devices, from being recognized, treating them as a threat. So it requires more administration than usual. ESET could implement a good solution for remote support in ESET Endpoint Protection Platform for improvement in the future. Since you have the cloud console, ESET could have something similar to AnyDesk or TeamViewer, but from ESET.

Reduces the time to detect and respond with moderate pricing
The centralized control feature is excellent. It provides a user-friendly interface for managing items and active endpoints, making it easy for central managers to control the network. I recommend it, but we need some documentation or a presentation from Seqrite. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's most valuable features are massive user and feature intelligence exploit detection."
"From a single pane of glass, you can easily manage all of your endpoints."
"Best solution for avoiding security breaches, malware attacks, and other kinds of security issues."
"After deploying Traps, we saw the performance of the network improve by 65 to 70 percent."
"The management capabilities, allow an IT organization to get quite a good picture of attempted cyber attacks."
"Since they've done their most recent update, the ease to isolate endpoints is valuable. If we find one where there is a virus on it, we can easily isolate it. We don't even have to contact the user. We don't have to manually take them off the network. We can easily isolate them."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks saves time in various ways, although the user interface is fairly standard."
"It's a nice product that's stable and scalable."
"ESET Endpoint Security is stable, I did not have any issues with it."
"The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle."
"The solution is stable."
"The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Security is that it is light on resources. It has a very low impact on the system. It uses low memory and the setup size is very low."
"The most valuable features of this solution are, of course, the IPS/IDS, Intrusion Prevention, Intrusion Detection, and Antivirus."
"I like everything about ESET Endpoint Security, and as an installer, it's very easy to install the solution, but the most important feature is that it helps defend against any virus. When the virus comes, ESET Endpoint Security stops it."
"The primary purpose is to protect computers from viruses and ransomware."
"It's light. I almost don't know that I am using it."
"Seqrite has significantly reduced the time it takes to detect and respond."
"The solution installs very easily."

Cons

"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks could improve by adding a sandbox feature to better compete with their competitors which have it."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is a very good product, but financially, it is very expensive, so the company should look into that area."
"Cortex XDR is trickier to configure than other Palo Alto products. This is one area where we are not so satisfied."
"The downsides of Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks are that in many incidents, when I enter the causality chain, there are numerous logs."
"In the next release, I would like to see more UI improvements. Their UI is a bit basic. When we are speaking about Palo Alto Networks they are the big company, so they can improve the UI a little bit. The UI, the reports, the log system can all be improved."
"In an upcoming release, the solution could improve by proving hard disk encryption. If it could support this it would be a complete solution."
"I recommend adding a data loss prevention (DLP) solution to Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks. The inclusion of this feature would allow the application of DLP policies alongside antivirus policies via a single agent and console, making it more competitive as other OEMs often offer DLP solutions as part of their antivirus products."
"In terms of areas of improvement, we have not completed our review of the product. We're also looking at other products. So, it's a little bit hard to tell what could be different because we have not completed the review of this product, but based on our experience so far, its implementation is quite complex."
"There are some new antivirus technologies that rely on AI, artificial intelligence. ESET does not have this technology right now."
"The product should provide a one-click option to renew the licenses."
"The product’s AI implementation feature could be better for learning user behavior."
"The solution can improve the modules, and it is lacking centralized management and visibility of the endpoints."
"The tool needs to explore security possibilities to secure iOS and Mac devices."
"In terms of what is lacking in ESET, it really would need more features for the users when they are working outside of the corporate network."
"I'm not aware of any areas that need improvement."
"The solution is not ideal for use in large enterprises"
"The security is too week and needs improvement."
"The solution should focus on security, documentation, and simplicity for beginners."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I don't like that they have different types of licenses."
"Cortex XDR's pricing is ok."
"The solution has one subscription for endpoint protection and one subscription for detection and response. The two licenses combined give you the BRO version."
"The tool's price is moderate."
"The pricing is okay, although direct support can be expensive."
"This is an expensive solution."
"Cortex XDR’s pricing is very reasonable."
"Its pricing is kind of in line with its competitors and everybody else out there."
