Email collaboration and accessibility have improved team productivity
The valuable features include the email service, email updates, and Google Drive. People are given email access to Google Drive. The team can share manual files and work accordingly. They can access different teams from anywhere, collectively putting files, sharing them, and managing them. Additionally, the manufacturing product does not require any downgrades. It works fine and continuously for the last three or four years. Users can access their emails from anywhere in their browser without a laptop or can directly access from Gmail. This is helpful for salespeople.

Effective collaboration achieved with versatile features and good customer service
There are always improvements needed. My personal issue with using OfficeSuite and the Exchange Server is that one has to cobble together a whole bunch of different applications. Therefore, a lot of scripting and programming knowledge is necessary. I am not an IT person; I am an educator, a trainer, a user. I want to get the work done. However, I find that the Exchange Server and possibly the way our company has set up access permissions require extensive programming knowledge. It might take six to eight weeks to get a programmer's time to build something, whereas I can use something like Smartsheet that will do everything I want without needing a programmer. Smartsheet is more end-user friendly compared to a Microsoft product. Microsoft believes an expert IT person should manage everything, however, I want to manage things on my own in a simplified way. That is not easy using the Exchange Server or Microsoft Office. It is not end-user friendly for development, and a programmer is needed. Once set up, using them as an end-user is fine. I find that the automations are not robust, and the FedRAMP systems are not robust. I have a few issues with Exchange and Office, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's stable. There isn't really any downtime."
"The most beneficial feature is Gmail, which we use extensively."
"Reduces IT spend, freeing up cash for other areas: sales, marketing, recruitment, etc."
"I like the capabilities for collaboration on any platform. For example, I might be on an iPad whereas the person next to me is on a laptop and the person next to them is on their phone. We can all collaborate together and update documentation in real-time."
"It's more open than Microsoft and easy to use."
"Everything is synchronized across every single device you use to access G Suite. That is why we like it."
"It's a secure solution that enables you to choose those you wish to share with."
"The Hangouts feature is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us."
"It's pretty reliable. We haven't had any issues with it."
"The reliability factor is high."
"Microsoft has many consultants who can provide support."
"The initial setup was straightforward."
"Tech support has been great, when necessary."
"Microsoft Exchange Online is a stable product."
"I would rate Exchange Online's stability nine out of ten."
"Microsoft Exchange Online's resiliency is its most valuable feature."

Cons

"The solution is not user-friendly and it doesn't integrate that well with Microsoft Office, which is one of the bigger business apps on the market, compared to Google Sheets and applications of that sort."
"Integration with Microsoft Outlook could be improved. The new integration was implemented last September, and we are facing some issues with OAuth 2.0 authentication."
"Some people complain that Google Mail is inflexible. It was advanced 10 years ago, but other solutions are cleaner and clearer."
"There seems to be a bit of vulnerability on some operating systems, specifically on the iPhone. There isn't as much control as if a person is using an Android. That's a bit of a concern."
"I found that there is no desktop application for this solution, and that's a major fault of this application."
"There are too many steps for sharing pictures."
"To a degree, the project management service could be improved."
"Google Workspace has limitations as a document or file management system. Without a workspace account, manual actions are required to perform tasks such as managing groups of people. Additionally, managing permissions individually is a time-consuming and inefficient process. It's difficult to articulate, but the process is not very streamlined."
"The pricing could be cheaper."
"The solution’s technical support could be improved."
"I would rate Exchange Online's stability eight out of ten - it has room for improvement."
"The efficiency could improved."
"The solution's performance can be improved when you are trying to access it remotely."
"The pricing could be a bit lower."
"I would like to let new users know that there are challenges regarding user provisioning, HRMS and the AD. Also, the data migration integrity needs to be checked in terms of the old data."
"Migration can be an issue if you do not have a good audit process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Careful consideration should be given to the different licensing options and provisions should be made for additional applications that may be required for your particular business."
"I rate Google Workspace's pricing five to six out of ten. We do not pay any extra costs."
"The price per client within the business is too high."
"G Suite and Microsoft Office 365 offer products with similar functionality at several different price points. Zoho offer a more extensive range of products and attempts to provide all the applications required to run most small and medium-sized businesses."
"Traffic management tools may be required for larger setups and should be included in any pricing calculations."
"The pricing is very high, although I cannot tell if this is the result of the Indian vendors artificially inflating it."
"I can't recall the exact pricing per user for Google Workspace, but I know it's not that expensive. I'm in a mid-sized company that's able to maintain and afford Google Workspace, so it has competitive pricing, and I would rate its price as four out of five."
"The main challenge regarding startups with identity services is you could be on a platform that works well but the services are expensive. For example, Microsoft Azure costs approximately $30 per user which is expensive. You end up choosing a different platform, such as G Suite Enterprise because it is priced reasonably and is less expensive than other solutions."
"In my opinion, the online license is the best one we have. It is a bundle that we have from Microsoft. It is a bit high in price."
"The solution costs $12 to $16 per user per month."
"The subscription fee is monthly."
"It is a cluster solution."
"I think it's just awesome. There's no argument about how much value you get on the per user, for user expenditure. It's really great, I don't have any issues with it. I think it's excellent."
"There is a license required for the solution and it is paid annually."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"The price is a bit high. It is especially expensive in the Indian market."
