Comprehensive cloud security with robust threat protection and VPN capabilities
Hillstone CloudEdge is compatible with all the mainstream public cloud providers, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Alibaba Cloud. This solution has a unified OS system for security products, ensuring that the virtual firewall has similar features to the on-premise solutions. Important features include a VPN, VTech VPN, SSL VPN, QoS, antivirus, threat protection, and sandbox capabilities.

Robust protection has blocked external threats and provides clear visibility into user activity
Sophos Firewall offers multiple features, including IPS, IDS, ATP, NDR, XOps, web protection, application protection, web server protection, and many more. Out of all those features, I find web protection and application protection to be very helpful and valuable in my daily work. Sophos Firewall has positively impacted my organization by preventing outside threats, allowing me to easily monitor my users, and configuring any rule for any user regarding what they need to use and what I am restricting for the particular user. I can share that it has improved productivity because if anyone could ransom my network, they could demand money to decrypt the files, thus saving us money, time, and providing reliability.

"Sophos is a comprehensive solution which allows me to configure all the attendant products, such as Sophos' firewall, Endpoint and Encryption features, and a nice feature of Sophos is that it offers in sync and heartbeat security."
"I would highly encourage others to evaluate Sophos and adopt it."
"The stability of Sophos XG is great!"
"Compared to other products, Sophos XGS is a user-friendly solution."
"The price is reasonable; it's not as expensive as other solutions."
"Sophos XG is used as our firewall, and as an MSP with a variety of clients with varying needs, it is a solution that is tailored to each of our clients and their specific requirements."
"We switched to Sophos for the easy interface and user-friendliness."
"The most useful aspect of the solution is the concept of integrated security which is why I use and recommended this firewall to clients."

Cons

"The solution needs more granular level reporting on system usage."
"There is room for improvement in AI features, particularly for zero-day attacks and providing maintenance guidance."
"The IPsec VPNs are a little on the buggy side and you sometimes have to jump through hoops to get it to work."

"User management is the area that, by far, needs the most work."
"The technical support directly from Sophos is not that great, which is why I had to employ a local company that deals with it more to assist me."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Its price should be better. Initially, the clients have to pay for the appliance. Then, they have to pay for the software that is installed on the appliance. Depending on whether they have a one-year, two-year, or three-year license, they just have to renew the license of the software after it expires. They don't have to renew the appliance license. So, they have to pay for the appliance only once, and after that, they just renew the software license. That's all."
"The price of Sophos XGS is less than competitors worldwide. However, in Turkey the solution is expensive."
"The licensing is reasonable. Comparing the cost of Sophos XGS with that of Fortinet or Palto Alto firewalls, for instance, it's not that expensive. However, the overall cost depends on the hardware you're using in addition to the licensing cost."
"At first, I thought the price was very high. But when I read about the machine's features, we decided to go with it."
"We paid for our licensing for three years, upfront, and there are no costs in addition to the standard fees."
"I don't think that it is expensive when you compare it with other solutions available on the market."
"The licensing cost is in the normal range and is not very costly."
"The price is reasonable"
