AI-driven optimization enhances network management and reduces hardware needs
In my region, access to the product is very difficult and presents a logistical nightmare. Also, pricing is a big problem and a barrier to entry when selling Juniper against competitors. Furthermore, the knowledge of the product's capabilities is not understood properly by those selling it, leading to overselling and overquoting.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Huawei Wireless has controllers inside the switches."
"I have a very good experience with this product, so I'm very satisfied with it."
"I would recommend this solution because it has quite a good price, and it provides value for money."
"The entire campus (students, administration, the project team, and purchase team) was very happy with this particular product."
"The most valuable thing about Huawei Wireless is that it is one of the cheapest WiFi 6 systems. Its price is very nice. The other WiFi systems cost about 15% more."
"What I like most about Huawei Wireless is that it's customizable. It has many unique features, such as encryption, spatial streams, hiding features for different scenarios, low-density and high-density areas, and smart antennas."
"The product is easy to use, the signal is very stable with very good performance, and for network devices it is great."
"The solution is very stable; there are no bugs or glitches, it works very well, it does not crash, and the performance is very good, and so far we have not received any complaints or any faulty hardware or anything."
"There weren't any scalability issues, the product did what it had to do."
"The Artificial Intelligence on offer is very useful."
"The installation process is nice and easy."
"Juniper WLC Series is a very high-performance device designed for indoor wireless deployment."
"It is a very stable solution."
"The installation process is very easy."
"Its cloud machine has AI and machine learning, and therefore, it can help ensure IT has good monitoring and quicker response time as well as good troubleshooting capabilities."
"It provides reliable and effective Wi-Fi to our clients and it is very scalable for high density installations."

Cons

"There was one time I had a problem with their centralized licensing. I called the Indian call center, but the response was not that good. One guy attended this call and he told me, "Definitely, I am forwarding your call to the next level. I'll let you know." After that, it took between 10 to 15 hours before I got a call back. By then, we had already resolved the issue. Therefore, they could improve the local support; there should be at very good Tier 1 and 2 support in India. They should be both proactive and reactive."
"This solution has issues with bugs and instability."
"Huawei Wireless can improve the signal, sometimes it becomes weak."
"Improving the visibility, control offered, and cloud management would all be very helpful. Also how you can monetize the information you get from Wi-Fi controllers should be improved."
"We are experiencing some challenges in terms of technical support; it's not readily available."
"Support could be a bit faster."
"Technical support is not ideal. They sometimes cannot connect to the wireless access point or their connection drops."
"There could be a console port for demonstration or configuration purposes."
"Juniper WLC Series has certain shortcomings in traffic monitoring."
"The network coverage of Juniper WLC Series and Cisco is different. We need to add additional access points."
"There could be a high level of security."
"The biggest issue was that Juniper stopped developing, so we had to look for another solution."
"WLCv was a product at the being of its evolution, so there was room for improvement there."
"The solution should create configuration documentation."
"There could be more information from the controller, and it could be easier to work with the controller lights. It's not easy to bring up the upgrades."
"The support on offer to other vendors switching - like Aruba or Ruckus - could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate Huawei Wireless' pricing a five out of ten."
"The product has a good price."
"I would rate the tool's pricing a seven out of ten."
"To compete effectively, Huawei might consider adjusting pricing to align more closely with other competitive brands, particularly those offering lower-cost solutions."
"Huawei licenses can be for either a one-year up to a five-year period and also apply for the tiers."
"It is not monthly. It is a kind of perpetual licensing. We pay once depending on the kind of services we need to deliver. There are no licensing fees."
"Huawei comes at a cheaper price than competitors like Cisco and Aruba."
"Huawei Wireless is an expensive product. I'm rating it as one out of ten, price-wise."
"Juniper WLC Series is a bit pricey but worth its cost."
"There is a certain amount that needs to be paid towards the licensing charges associated with the product, but though I am not sure, I feel the licenses that we have in our company are for three years."
"The licensing cost is quite high, but considering it's an enterprise solution, the complexity justifies the price."
"The solution's pricing is reasonable."
"The product is relatively affordable for enterprise companies."
