Ease of use, performance, availability, and scalability
The initial setup is very easy, user-friendly, and not complex. It mostly comes with all installed, an operating system, database, and security, all included in Power Systems. So users can easily install, configure, and use it. It's integrated with other systems. You can run different systems from IBM Power Systems, AIX Linux, or IBM I operating system. It's also integrated into Windows systems and other databases and servers.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution works well for very large organizations. It can scale quite well."
"Disaster Recovery Services is stable."
"The initial setup is very easy and user-friendly."
"The latest IBM environments are very powerful for our clients."
"This amazing software is highly recommended."
"We spend less time to get data recovered."
"They reply immediately to any query raised from us as a technician or consultant and they know the pulse of the market and keep updating the features in such a big way."
"I like the product because it is doing exactly what I need it to do, and that is reliably backing up my VM."
"The enterprise version is a solid product with good support, a lot of features, and a helpful knowledge base."
"The most valuable feature is full-VM recovery from ashes."
"It uses all the bandwidth available if not limited and backs up entire servers with all data about four times faster than Windows Server Backup and EaseUS TODO Backup."
"The ability to create a replica of all virtual machines is a great feature."

Cons

"The infrastructure level of IBM's recovery systems could be improved."
"Disaster Recovery Services could provide better value for money."
"Stability could always be better."
"It would be good if I could have a remote upgrade of our Synology Transporters, but the manual upgrade is easy and no problem at all."
"At the moment I am pleased with what Nakivo does but I would like more reporting functions and, if possible, integration with my RMM system."
"An improvement would be to give us more control over the email alerts, with different emails going to different addresses based on a set of rules."
"Their product is good and it meets our requirements, however, new features are also most welcome and we never hesitated to try new features."
"Recently, I found out about one disadvantage of the NAKIVO agent that works on physical servers; they certified that they do not have a block tracking mechanism for physical Windows servers, so if a server is huge, say several terabytes, it cannot perform incremental backups and reads all the drives each time, which has left several of my customers suffering from this issue."
"There could be better integration with other solutions, such as Amazon S3."
"The interface can be a little clunky at times."
"The backup speed needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Disaster Recovery Services is expensive."
"The pricing of the solution is based on the scale of the project or business. It's based on the server amount and the amount of data being stored. For our client, based on the amount of data they have, it may be around $20,000 USD. It could get much more expensive on the customer side."
"The prices are high."
"Talk to the sales department about all of the possibilities, as they will help you to find the best solution for your setup."
"The price could be lower."
"It's really cheap, and our company saves a significant amount of money on IT backup solutions per year."
"This product is cheaper than other big rivals."
"From the perspective of Indian users, the cost is a little bit high."
"Nakivo has a good price-performance ratio."
"The licensing currently allows for host-based licensing, which is advantageous if you have a lot of data on a few hosts."
