The tool needs to improve in the areas of security, though it is a versatile product
Inflectra Rapise needs to expand its ability. I spoke with Inflectra's executive account rep on the need to expand the tool's ability. The problem with Inflectra Rapise is that a lot of companies are still using SAP GUI. Inflectra has no intention of building Rapise in a way that allows it to interact with SAP GUI. Inflectra Rapise has very limited value for the companies I work with because they they still use SAP GUI since their top priority is SAP testing, and they want to get into automation, for which they need a tool that cannot only used to automate processes, but can also do end-to-end testing where you are not only using SAP GUI, but you are using the interface with old legacy systems that are still in use or with today's more modern technologies. In the future, the tool needs to increase its versatility. If I am at a company that uses 23 different technologies, like .NET Visual Basic, Oracle, SQL, or whatever, Inflectra Rapise needs to be made as a product that is an out-of-the-box usable tool for any technology.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We always use the product for end-to-end automation test cases."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its versatility."
"It's pretty straightforward to set up."
"I like Orchestrator and how easy it is to manipulate and get your data, to see what's going on."
"There are a number of activities available in the UiPath Studio, which are enough to automate all types of tasks."
"The scraping for data extraction is very important. There is also a connection with all Microsoft tools, like Outlook, Excel, Word, et cetera. And OCR, the Document Understanding feature, is important because we have clients that ask us to read data from scanned documents."
"The bundling of the offerings into UiPath is quite important, so we don't have to go to several different vendors. We can try it out on our own and see if this is something we want to do. Then, we might bring in another partner or vendor to do some specialized training, debug the networks, etc. We're never going to get that capability ourselves. We don't have a large IT department nor do we have data scientists. For us, it's important that one or more of these skills are getting baked into the system."
"The automation of repetitive tasks that eliminate human error is a valuable feature."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the unattended robots because I can schedule my jobs and it can run on its own."
"Overall, the most valuable aspects are the automation, UI navigation, and orchestration."
"The UiPath Apps feature has helped to reduce the workload for our IT department by enabling end-users to create apps. Even some of the business people have been trained to do that. They have been able to build small, attended bots."

Cons

"It would be good if there could be more integration of Inflectra Rapise, since not all customers use the same tool for test management and automation integration."
"Inflectra Rapise needs to expand its ability."
"The maintenance is very difficult. We've only been using the platform for three months, so I'm not sure if that will continue, but right now it's an observation I've had."
"The licensing policies and concepts change almost yearly, leading to difficult negotiations. All components are licensed differently, and it would be more straightforward to adopt new features if they were included in the same bundle."
"It lacks something crucial, which is a map of the variables and arguments. When we are using a lot of variables and arguments, sometimes, we get lost. UiPath should create a map that connects different files and shows the connections between them."
"I would like a way to add priority to the outgoing mails from UiPath studio."
"Overall, UiPath is relatively straightforward, but there are opportunities to simplify activities. Sometimes, I've hit roadblocks while developing RPA jobs and found it difficult to find the answer. I can usually resolve a problem through a support ticket or an online search."
"The UiPath solution doesn't currently provide unique testing for mobile devices."
"Previous Orchestrator versions were very user-friendly for the admins and the users, but the new Orchestrator is a bit advanced. If they could reduce its complexity, to something more like what it used to be like, it would be better."
"The new features or functionalities that come with UiPath upgrades don't work perfectly in the initial days. Their new releases are not stable. We always find some set of issues. I have to work with the UiPath team for a week or so to resolve the issues, and then I'm able to use it. The stabilization should be there. We expect UiPath to reduce the number of errors before rolling out new features to end-users or customers."
"I would like to see some artificial intelligence for UiPath that would help us with OCR and other things like computer vision."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the product's price an eight on a scale of one to ten, where ten means very good pricing."
"We pay no more than $50 annually for support of each one of the licenses."
"I put the price as average; it's neither particularly expensive nor affordable."
"We find the yearly licensing cost affordable, and the UiPath pricing team is very accommodating to us. They allowed us to pay in installments during the integration phase. The friendly pricing is one of the main reasons we chose the solution."
"I like that there is one license for all basic needs, but it is still expensive. Sometimes, we don't need all the tools or capabilities. We only need basic automation and processing for certain clients, but we're required to get the full license. They can improve its licensing and provide more flexibility. They can create more plans or packages, or they can let the users choose the capabilities they need and base its pricing on that."
"The price of UiPath is too high."
"The price is high in comparison to Power Platform that Microsoft provides as part of their enterprise license."
"Over and above the subscription fees, we're paying probably $51,000 a year right now."
"The pricing is average; it is not too high nor too low."
"The cost is on the higher side."
