Dashboard is intuitive and mature, guiding you through the backup steps required
The feature I find most valuable is the backup configuration, particularly in Google Workspace. It's pretty much the same as for Office 365, but it shows you a list of the mailbox or account holders in an organization. If you want to back somebody up, it's literally just a checkbox to choose that individual. It's super simple to say, "I want to back up these mailboxes, but I will leave these other people, who are temporary, unchecked." I can't make a mistake. You can recover emails, documents, SharePoint. You can restore any of those cloud services. In addition, the Infrascale Dashboard is very intuitive and very easy to use. It takes you step-by-step through the things you need to do to back up your Google Workspace or Office 365 platform. It has been implemented really well; it's pretty top-notch. It seems like a very mature feature, where a lot of thought was put into the user interface to make it easy for managed service providers to provide easy backup for multiple customers. It's well laid out. And when I have restored files or just emails, the speed of the restore has been very good. It has only taken minutes to complete.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Pros

"The feature I find most valuable is the backup configuration, particularly in Google Workspace. It's pretty much the same as for Office 365, but it shows you a list of the mailbox or account holders in an organization. If you want to back somebody up, it's literally just a checkbox to choose that individual. "I don't think you could do much better than using Infrascale."
"We have backups for Microsoft 365 because it is in the account of the complete tenant compromise. If we lose access to a tenant or all of the client's data gets Microsoft 365, and they lose access to all of their emails, OneDrive, and Teams data, then at least we have an off-site copy that is not linked to their Microsoft side of things."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the scalability and the free license of up to ten VMs."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"At the moment I think we have all we need for backing up our Office 365 emails reliably, we have a solid solution with this product so I don't see any reason it would have to change."
"Generally speaking from my experience, this solution is very good, but it also has some room for improvement."
"One of the main features of the solution is it is easy to use."
"Once you set it up, it works very well. You do not have to go back to reconfigure it– it is very easy to use"
"It works well for our backup needs, and I would recommend it for Microsoft 365 due to its reliability."

Cons

"The barrier to entry should be smaller. Their ICB (Infrascale Cloud Backup) requires a minimum of one terabyte and the IBDR (Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery) requires one terabyte. It would be better if they could do 500 gigabytes. I don't always want to purchase terabytes at a time, although those are different products than what we've been talking about."
"The solution is costly."
"The integration and the coverage of all the features related to the protection of Teams could be improved."
"It would be a great improvement to be able to recover cover a VM straight to on-prem."
"The documentation for the installation is good. However, if you are new to the environment the installation could be difficult. The first time we did it it took approximately four days."
"A while back, I had some trouble using the agent. It might be a problem with older versions. Sometimes, I also have issues installing or making backups from the console to that type of operating system."
"The solution is costly and it could be improved by making it cheaper."
"Veaam Backup can be confusing for customers when they start trying to understand how to use the product in multiple environments."
"If clients are backing up onto tape, Veeam's newest versions don't really deal with that."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's only in the cloud and there are no extra fees. You just pay for your storage, for the space that you need to use. As an MSP, you can allocate space to clients as you need to."
"We decided on Altaro because, from the point of view of the total cost, Altaro looks cheaper than Veeam. Veeam has a lot of costs that are not clear when you start it, which makes it less flexible than Altaro, but only after half a year, you can be really sure that you made a good decision."
"I'm not sure about the price, but I think it could be lower."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"The pricing is middle-of-the-road compared with competing products."
"The solution is not expensive."
"There is an annual license required and a per-user fee for this solution."
"It is strictly subscribed on a per-user basis."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
