Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Provides limited scalability, and systems do not synchronize properly
I use the platform to track IT assets, including who they belong to and their current status I do not find the product beneficial. It has ongoing issues and does not meet my expectations. The two systems within Asset Manager do not synchronize properly. Queries fail to retrieve the correct…

Helpful smart automation and tracking that can be used with minimal adjustments
This is a recording system, and it's an automation system. It's very smart. I use it with minimal adjustments needed. The focus is on test management. Everything can be tracked from asset management. Asset management offers many facilities. It doesn't require additional training for ManageEngine or technicians. Assets are simply reported from the dashboard, indicating where IT is missing, where compliance is mentioned, or where action is needed, with driver updates. All facilities are available in the enterprise edition, allowing users, customers, or any organization to easily obtain their referred insights. Anyone can easily install it. There are no handbells. An app provides instructions, with documentation available. Sometimes, IT issues arise like fraud blocking or service-related problems. Upon facing an issue, feedback is integrated, and the solution is provided from their end. This is a very IT-friendly solution. We get LiveSat and IT management. Facilities are accessible, like exporting the installation folder, making the migration process easy. Failover or redundancy can occur within two to five hours, making it scalable. This is a very stable solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We have seen increased productivity, because what used to take about two days to finish with laymen doing computer work, a bot can finish within a seven to eight hour time frame, meaning we are removing a lot of man-hours."
"We have saved 60 to 70 percent on operations."
"The ability to build automation without coding is its most valuable feature."
"We can do automation for some complex issues."
"Currently, everyone wants to experiment more and more with cloud offerings. They don't want to spend money on setting up their internal hardware infrastructure. Automation Anywhere is the only tool that provides a pure cloud to customers. That is one of the key features."
"We automated one process that was running with 109 people and reduced it down to 69 with automation."
"Using IQ Bot, we can extract more data out from the documents that are unstructured."
"Automation Anywhere has a drag-and-drop feature eliminating the need for extensive coding."
"The solution is easy to setup."
"The product's stability in terms of uptime is generally good; it is always operational."
"The most valuable component of the ITSM tool is the help desk due to its organized way of raising tickets."
"This is a very stable solution."
"In my opinion, it is the MDM; patch management and deployment are the valuable features."
"It's very smart. I use it with minimal adjustments needed."
"We are satisfied with the product because each module is user-friendly, and we can customize it based on our organization's requirements."
"The technical support is great."
"It is a great product, and we are very satisfied with the features."
"As far as IT Asset Management is concerned, I would rate it at ten out of ten."

Cons

"Sometimes, the recorder from Automation Anywhere does not work well and is inaccurate. This should be improved."
"The Automation Anywhere community is less active than the UiPath community, which is a downside. When I ask questions in the Automation Anywhere community, responses take a longer time."
"This solution could be more stable because sometimes I see some bugs."
"Automation Anywhere could benefit from more in-person support, as they currently maintain only a virtual presence."
"There are some business areas for which this tool is not capable of doing, such as in the areas of graphically-based input."
"There is room for improvement when this application is used in a Citrix-based environment."
"The solution is costly and the licensing is very confusing."
"Automation Anywhere's UI is difficult. Its user interface can be improved."
"Queries fail to retrieve the correct information, and the discovery tool does not accurately reflect the details of devices."
"The synchronization between the ITAM and Neurons should be restored."
"I hope it includes barcode features, as barcode scanning and MacAdes cannot currently be mapped with this field."
"However, the issue is that the knowledge base often shows information for older versions such as versions 12, 13, or 11, while we are working with ManageEngine IT Asset Management 15.1."
"Responses from ManageEngine should be faster."
"The assets that can be discovered are pretty easy to manage, but there should be a better way to manage non-discoverable assets. Our development team works on bots and tests particular hardware. They have got different varieties of hardware. They want a feature for managing these assets within a warehouse kind of environment. For example, our IT has received 100 items, and they have assigned these items as a bulk unit to a project manager. The project manager further wants to distribute these items within his or her team. Instead of maintaining a separate Excel sheet, the project manager should be able to reallocate these items from within the tool so that we have hierarchical entities for the same unit."
"I would love to see a digital adoption feature or guide that navigates first-time users through the application, as it is quite complex with many relevant and irrelevant elements."
"It would be helpful if there were a premium technician license that includes all the suites, eliminating the need to buy separate licenses for each feature."
"The asset management tool is costly compared to other tools in the market."
"The engineering area needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Our advice is that anybody interested in this product should negotiate product bundles in order to reduce the cost of installation and setup."
"We have a three-year contract with Automation Anywhere."
"Automation Anywhere is thought to be quite expensive, especially for smaller organizations."
"Talk to your manager and try to procure an automation license for training. This will allow you to train people, so you can move to automation."
"Because it reduced the time duration of our processes, our costs went down."
"It's somewhat pricier than some of the other tools that we've used, and the breakout between the different applications is also somewhat costly. If they can make it a little more cost-effective or bundle packages a little bit more, that would be beneficial."
"The price of Automation Anywhere is a little higher than some of the competition, such as UiPath. However, depending on the use case and other factors we are able to receive some discounts."
"The product starts at $10,000 and then it's up to you regarding how much you can consume."
"The solution is reasonably priced."
"Its price is reasonable, but I wish it was lower."
