Centralized device management has automated onboarding and improves remote security compliance
One thing I feel Microsoft Intune could improve is troubleshooting visibility. In many cases, when a policy or application deployment fails, the error messages are a bit generic. So, admins still spend time checking logs manually or testing on devices one by one. Compared to the simplicity of deployment, troubleshooting sometimes feels less mature. I also think reporting and real-time monitoring could be stronger. The dashboard gives useful information, but in large environments, many teams still depend on additional tools or scripts for deeper reporting and analytics. If I had to focus on one area first, I would probably choose troubleshooting and reporting. Deployment through Microsoft Intune is generally straightforward, but when something fails, identifying the exact root cause can still take more time than expected. Error messages are sometimes too generic, and admins often have to dig through logs, sync status, or multiple portals to understand what actually happened. I think user experience and policy management could also improve further. Microsoft Intune has become much better over the years, but sometimes the admin portal still feels fragmented because certain configurations open in different sections or redirect to older interfaces. For new admins, especially, it can take time to understand where everything is located. Another thing is policy conflict handling. In larger organizations, multiple device policies, compliance rules, and configuration profiles can overlap. When conflicts happen, the visibility is not always very clear, so admins spend time figuring out which policy actually won or caused the issue.

Automated onboarding has saved hundreds of hours and now standardizes device security globally
In terms of how Ivanti Neurons for UEM can be improved, I think there's potential for automation of some repetitive tasks. The device provisioning process has already become very close to zero-touch, but the patch deployment is still scheduled and policy-driven. As a result, I believe we can reduce endpoint administration further. I also think the number of integrations and the scalability of the tool can be improved, along with customer service, as we've encountered some issues in certain countries. Regarding the needed improvements, particularly concerning integrations or customer service challenges, we have had problems with integration with some third-party tools requiring additional configuration and testing. Occasionally, we also experienced delays between systems, particularly with user group changes and device compliance updates. The accuracy and reliability of output from Ivanti's AI can be improved. We notice that the AI-driven insights are useful, but there are anomalies and some false positives. Since we are still in a validation period, I cannot provide a definitive mark, but I believe that accuracy should be enhanced, especially for more complex and environment-specific issues where human intervention is still needed.

Have experienced inconsistent support while maintaining strong outcomes in complex projects
My biggest advantage with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is that I have really deep knowledge about Microsoft licenses, allowing me to offer our customers some non-usual configurations or special offers because I have experience working in Microsoft and many contacts, helping us to provide the best conditions for long-time contracts. The installation of Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is quite easy. Azure Active Directory Premium helps to manage user access and security; it's the basis of our communication and our project, as it's essential for all security for our customers. Features within Microsoft Intune such as MDM and MAM help to protect data in general. Intune is a general tool for mobility management and device and user management.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most important thing for me is the autopilot feature."
"The stability of Microsoft Intune is ten out of ten."
"Microsoft Intune has broad capabilities, particularly with mobile device management, with excellent management features like the ability to push configuration policies to all devices across the company and manage them effectively, strong configuration and compliance capabilities, and valuable application management that centralizes applications in one place and makes configuring or deploying them much easier."
"The most valuable feature of Intune is the ability to reset a lost device and remove all the data."
"The best feature in Microsoft Intune is zero touch deployment, which allows me to automate many tasks compared to manually installing Windows and applications one by one, making it easier to enroll devices with Autopilot and pre-deploy applications."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Intune include remote updates. The update runs in the background, so there's no need in most cases to go on-site to do it."
"It is much easier to deploy software updates and Windows updates globally because of the cloud base, so I can manage from anywhere, making it quite convenient for me."
"Microsoft Intune solutions, especially Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365, have positively impacted my organization by improving endpoint security, enabling centralized device management, supporting remote work efficiently, reducing manual administrative effort through automation, and enhancing compliance and collaboration across the enterprise environment."
"From the reporting we receive, we perform patching updates every week with no tickets or complaints from users saying they dislike it or their computers were abruptly restarted."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management has positively impacted our organization by allowing us to reduce the volume of daily tasks."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management has positively impacted my organization because I used this tool in my previous project, and it is useful for security purposes."
"It is very easy to use, as well as extremely efficient and accurate."
"Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management is a great tool for managing our team and company assets."
"I experience every day how the unified platform has really optimized IT and security operations processes since patch management automatically patches the vulnerabilities."
"The solution is a good product and I have heard that the interface is more friendly than that of Windows."
"Ivanti Patch's most valuable features are the patch module and the package distribution."
"The solution offers excellent documentation that is easily available online."
"Integration between our departments has been the most valuable."
"Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is a basic part of all of our projects because it's a very important basis for any customer wanting to set up Microsoft technology, as they need to manage all users and devices on a security basis."
"The solution is very good at securing files. For example, if I forward a secure document, it's blocked from others, as I can send it with restrictions in relation to who can open it."
"The product is centralized and we can use it for security purposes."
"The solution is scalable."
"It is a stable solution...It is a scalable solution."
"The technical support is quite good, and as of now I have not faced anything that was neglected or unsolvable, and I always get a prompt response as well."

Cons

"There could be more wizard-driven policy development or creation. Some of the policies can get quite complex. If they have a wizard that assists the administrators in creating the policy, that will be a great job."
"Intune is not the most user-friendly mobile device management platform available."
"I would like to see easier pushdowns. Currently, we have to package our own software and then push it. Intune can make that way easier and integrate applications, such as Zoom and Adobe Acrobat, that are used by a lot of enterprise or corporate organizations."
"There could be more competent processes and improvements in the policy space."
"The worst aspect is the reporting."
"Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update."
"Automations in Microsoft Intune can be more elaborated; KQL (Kusto Query Language) is available, but if multiple automation options were readily available, which would include PowerShell, KQL, JSON, and different interpreters like VS Code or Python readily available from Microsoft Intune, it would help administration and management much better."
"Customer service is not really good. I would give it a six out of ten. The main issue is the time it takes to get someone involved who truly understands what the product does."
"The price being quite high and the limited container storage are areas that have room for improvement."
"I noticed one thing when comparing Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management with other software in the market, such as Cherwell, where we can see the rating of the person. In Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management, I feel the individual ratings and feedback feature is missing."
"It's a difficult configuration because you need to install many servers in a location, and you have to install the primary server in the main location."
"To improve Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management, I believe we should focus on automating recurring problems, improving detection, and measuring results."
"There are a few areas where Ivanti Autonomous Endpoint Management could be further improved, including custom reporting, dashboard flexibility, and UI navigation for new admins."
"We have had problems with integration with some third-party tools requiring additional configuration and testing."
"Ivanti Neurons for UEM could be improved by providing training on the dashboard, which could help users understand better how they can get more out of the platform."
"Ivanti Neurons Patch for Intune needs to improve stability. We had issues with patching."
"The licensing can be messy at times."
"Its performance needs enhancement."
"There are certain shortcomings in the licensing model of the product where improvements are required."
"The auditing and reporting could be updated and upgraded. I would like to see light applications because they consume a lot of the device's memory at present."
"Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security is expensive."
"The auditing and reporting could be updated and upgraded."
"They should improve dedicated solutions because they offer everything, but you always end up missing something."
"Microsoft's feature management is based on licenses. Microsoft follows ethical licensing and hence do not restrict the use of it."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's affordable for the protection it gives. There are no additional costs."
"It is average. Some of the costs are quite high depending on what the customer currently uses, but overall, it is not bad. I would not say that I would not recommend Intune based on the cost. I definitely would, but they can definitely improve on the cost. So overall, its cost is not bad."
"Intune is included with our F3 and E5 licenses."
"The licensing costs we leave up to the customer and these vary from one to another."
"It's affordable. It's cheaper if you have an Office 365, E5, or E3 subscription because everything is there."
"I rate Intune five out of 10 for pricing. It's expensive."
"It is expensive. The cost depends on the license that we choose."
"The price of Intune is included with the license for Office 365, so we don't have to pay anything extra for it."
"The license can get expensive if you have a lot of nodes."
"The solution is affordable."
"While the price is a bit high, it may be equitable with the features one gets with the product, such as that involving the interface."
"The solution is expensive compared to other products."
"For the one that works with SCCM, it is relatively inexpensive at $8 USD per node, yearly. The standalone product has two versions; the one that patches servers is about $45 USD annually and the version that patches workstations is about half that price at $22 USD."
"My impression is that MobileIron is very expensive."
"The price of MobileIron UEM is very good."
"The solution is cost-effective."
"I would rate pricing at eight out of ten. It is a bit higher because of the security features that Microsoft provides."
"The increase in the prices of the product might not be the actual problem, but things become complex with some new plans that were introduced by Microsoft recently."
"We have to pay 10 dollars per user. I would rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
