Treasury teams have streamlined cash pooling and now close complex intercompany books faster
Since Kyriba is more of a bolt-on, I suggest that more adapters are developed with ERP solutions, specifically S/4, as my idea for improvement. In cases of integration, the adapters were available, but the data sets had to be realigned. The structures in which SAP S/4 operates and the structures in Kyriba had to be mapped. If those can be developed out of the box, it would certainly smoothen the overall implementation experience. Additionally, moving open AR/AP positions from SAP S/4 to Kyriba is done as a batch load, meaning on request. If those interfaces are developed in real-time, so that real-time positions are always moved over to Kyriba, it would enhance the process even further because then the analysis is not contingent upon an on-demand pull request; it happens live. Tighter integration, and tighter real-time integration with the ERP ledgers, could help enhance the capabilities further. Tighter integration certainly is the core area for improvement with Kyriba. In addition to that, I would say that the adoption of AI could be another enhancement in the UI. The context I would suggest for its implementation is within the analysis of discrepancies. Obviously, not everything reconciles perfectly anytime cash pooling is done, so identifying postings where the match cannot be performed, leading to necessary settlements, would be good areas for Kyriba to develop further capabilities.

Has supported effective budget planning but needs better data management and performance improvements
The problem with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is that they use Essbase, causing the volume of data to increase rapidly. My customer has been using it for five years, and the database has increased to two or three terabytes, which is too big. Oracle has a limit on the database for each customer, notifying that the maximum is only three terabytes, requiring me to back it up elsewhere. The use of Essbase results in rapid database growth, which is an issue I think Oracle needs to improve. While the functions in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud are good, when I create formulas in the dimensions and refresh the data after making new dimensions, elements, or formulas, it takes a long time. I think this performance issue might be due to the large dataset, but since the system is on the cloud, the performance is still poor.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"Kyriba offers excellent features, including its user-friendly UI as a payment provider."
"Kyriba has positively impacted my organization by making our work easier compared to the first software we were using."
"For month-end close activities, there is at least a 25 percent and upwards reduction in the time it takes to close the books, which certainly translates into money saved and fewer resources needed."
"The ability to do transfers directly from Kyriba has saved time and reduced the effort of taking approvals from an external party, creating a memo, creating the template in Citibank or any other bank, and obtaining additional levels of approval, since in Kyriba, I can create the payment and only one person can approve it."
"Kyriba offers the best TMS on the market for cash liquidity, cash forecasting, net debt, and GL reconciliation."
"Kyriba is the best software available, and I have seen a return on investment where the initial yearly fee is superseded by the transaction fees and tax savings we have on bulk transactions and cross-border connectivity, making it a very profitable proposition when pricing is done correctly and implemented on a large level."
"My advice to others looking into using Kyriba is that it is a great product and very cost-effective, especially compared to other competitors in the market, and I have been very happy with Kyriba over the past nine years."
"With Kyriba, you log in, go to the report, and see all bank balances in just two clicks, which greatly helps treasurers and the business team."
"The solution offers well-integrated and dynamic platforms for all disciplines of enterprise performance management."
"Technical support is okay, and I find the technical support from Oracle to be good."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"Purchasing this product indeed is a value addition; it's not going to be a bomb, it's not going to add any kind of liability, and it will have quite a positive impact on a company."
"If you go in with that mindset and resource it properly, it's genuinely transformative for a finance function."
"The best features of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud are that it is customizable, allowing me to filter it really well to know exactly what I want."
"Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has impacted my organization by making everything clearer and more centralized."

Cons

"There are a bit of glitches sometimes."
"Something I would like to see improved in Kyriba is that on the reconciliation side, we do get payments where someone might send us a ten thousand dollar payment and then want that split into forty-five different entries."
"Money-wise, I think it takes two to three years to generate the full ROI on that investment, given the initial setup of implementation is a bit higher."
"Kyriba could improve their support, as the production support may sometimes be a bit delayed."
"The experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it is very expensive, as the licenses are quite expensive."
"I chose a seven because of the interface and the support services we have with Kyriba, as sometimes payments get stuck during production or working hours, resulting in delays for vendors."
"Tighter integration certainly is the core area for improvement with Kyriba."
"Kyriba could be improved in the areas of connecting with multiple banks and managing various statuses."
"The problem with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is that they use Essbase, causing the volume of data to increase rapidly."
"Integration of AI, IoT, and RPA-based automation and prediction features with the solution will be a great plus. Oracle is continuously investing efforts in this direction and new features are being released on a continuous basis."
"On the cloud, additional security is required."
"Using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has changed how my team works together and collaborates, though sometimes the interface feels unintuitive."
"Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud is definitely pretty old school and not as intuitive or user-friendly."
"The customer support for Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud has been somewhat inconsistent. For critical issues, the response is reasonably fast; however, for more complex configuration questions, we often get passed around before finding someone who really understands the product deeply."
