Treasury teams have streamlined cash pooling and now close complex intercompany books faster
Since Kyriba is more of a bolt-on, I suggest that more adapters are developed with ERP solutions, specifically S/4, as my idea for improvement. In cases of integration, the adapters were available, but the data sets had to be realigned. The structures in which SAP S/4 operates and the structures in Kyriba had to be mapped. If those can be developed out of the box, it would certainly smoothen the overall implementation experience. Additionally, moving open AR/AP positions from SAP S/4 to Kyriba is done as a batch load, meaning on request. If those interfaces are developed in real-time, so that real-time positions are always moved over to Kyriba, it would enhance the process even further because then the analysis is not contingent upon an on-demand pull request; it happens live. Tighter integration, and tighter real-time integration with the ERP ledgers, could help enhance the capabilities further. Tighter integration certainly is the core area for improvement with Kyriba. In addition to that, I would say that the adoption of AI could be another enhancement in the UI. The context I would suggest for its implementation is within the analysis of discrepancies. Obviously, not everything reconciles perfectly anytime cash pooling is done, so identifying postings where the match cannot be performed, leading to necessary settlements, would be good areas for Kyriba to develop further capabilities.

Adaptive scales well, simple to create new budget versions and models
For the organization I used to work at, it streamlined the process of creating budgets. It's very simple to create a new version and do some more modeling based on your need for planning things like headcount, other expenses, and revenue, everything is configurable within Workday. So that made it easy. Reporting was pretty easy to set up as well. It streamlined the amount of time it took to do the budget as well as kind of making it simple to implement a rolling forecast process. So, it really was more just a productivity increase and time shortening for the budgeting and forecasting process.

Pros

"Kyriba offers excellent features, including its user-friendly UI as a payment provider."
"For month-end close activities, there is at least a 25 percent and upwards reduction in the time it takes to close the books, which certainly translates into money saved and fewer resources needed."
"Kyriba offers the best TMS on the market for cash liquidity, cash forecasting, net debt, and GL reconciliation."
"Kyriba is the best software available, and I have seen a return on investment where the initial yearly fee is superseded by the transaction fees and tax savings we have on bulk transactions and cross-border connectivity, making it a very profitable proposition when pricing is done correctly and implemented on a large level."
"My advice to others looking into using Kyriba is that it is a great product and very cost-effective, especially compared to other competitors in the market, and I have been very happy with Kyriba over the past nine years."
"Treasury managers have better visibility to their idle cash, and a glance overview of all accounts at one place is available without logging into each bank portal, which definitely provides better visibility and hence better use of the idle cash."
"The ability to do transfers directly from Kyriba has saved time and reduced the effort of taking approvals from an external party, creating a memo, creating the template in Citibank or any other bank, and obtaining additional levels of approval, since in Kyriba, I can create the payment and only one person can approve it."
"With Kyriba, you log in, go to the report, and see all bank balances in just two clicks, which greatly helps treasurers and the business team."
"It has helped us to automate a lot of our processes."
"Customer Service: Excellent, always available and hardly needed."
"Our organization is able to use Adaptive to complete a major majority of our monthly management and quarterly Board reports, and by refreshing reports and pages automatically, it creates the monthly report package with little to no manual staff work."
"The reporting tools are what I gain the most benefit from."
"Reduced planning and budgeting time - it takes hardly a couple of days to complete my entire budgeting exercise, uploading actual data and generating monthly reports with comparison of actual versus budgets in no time."
"The important feature is integration with source data. It connects to various ERP systems, including Workday, Intact, and others. It can also import actuals and compare them to PlanPoint quite easily."
"We have gone from an organization that looked backwards at financials and had a one-time annual budget to an organization that looks forward, has rolling forecasts, long-term planning, metrics, and push button reporting."
"Adaptive saves us huge hours in budgeting, for each roll-up it saves us two hours at least, and we usually have more than 20 roll-ups."

Cons

"Kyriba could be improved in the areas of connecting with multiple banks and managing various statuses."
"There are a bit of glitches sometimes."
"Money-wise, I think it takes two to three years to generate the full ROI on that investment, given the initial setup of implementation is a bit higher."
"I chose a seven because of the interface and the support services we have with Kyriba, as sometimes payments get stuck during production or working hours, resulting in delays for vendors."
"I give it a seven because of its limitation to handle complex requirements of financial transactions, such as complex derivatives, structured derivatives, and hedge accounting, which the product is not well-built for."
"The experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it is very expensive, as the licenses are quite expensive."
"Tighter integration certainly is the core area for improvement with Kyriba."
"Something I would like to see improved in Kyriba is that on the reconciliation side, we do get payments where someone might send us a ten thousand dollar payment and then want that split into forty-five different entries."
"Pricing can be made better affordable to SMEs. Every year price increase is an issue."
"We do have issues getting information on our customer success turnover."
"Adaptive Insights has a limit of 1,00,000 rows for HTML reports. It should be improved because we will have multiple dimensions that need to be populated to enhance the image."
"The product's configuration process could be faster."
"Users continue to become more advanced and are looking for more advanced solutions."
"The upload feature exists, but isn't terribly useful."
"Needing to focus on upgrades for all industries, including CPG."
"We tried Discovery and OfficeConnect at one point and found them too cumbersome, at the time."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Licensing seems to be worth the cost considering the efficiency Adaptive brings."
"Adaptive Insights' pricing is relative to its peer competitors. It's certainly competitive compared to a spreadsheet template that you build in Excel. It can be expensive if you need to have 100-500 budget holders giving input and building financial plans. However, in that case, it becomes an extremely good bargain. Compared to its competitors, it offers an excellent value."
"Pricing is in line with other cloud-based EPM tools. It is a subscription-based model based upon the number of users and site type if it's an admin or end-user type thing."
"Prior to purchasing licenses, make sure you understand which users will only need planning and which users will need both planning and OfficeConnect."
"Ensure that you have the proper pricing plan in place."
"Everything is negotiable, but this solution is low cost compared to others."
"It's affordable."
"Adaptive Insights' pricing is reasonable."
