Enables management of multiple operating systems with a single license
The best feature is that it's a Microsoft product, so if anything goes wrong, we get quick support for anything required. Remote system functionality allows us to sit anywhere and take control of any device via remote management. We can enhance security for clients' laptops with built-in Microsoft Defender, which is available with the Microsoft Intune license. We use it for reporting purposes through endpoint analytics. When pushing scripting, there are two types available: remediation script and reservation script. Through endpoint analytics, you can push defender policies to clients. It helps with reporting, inventory updates, and monitoring tenant status health.

Able to boot into safe mode or standard mode remotely and reliable performance
I've only had to deal with it once. Because of the custom package we have, a white-label package, I can only think of one issue maybe six or seven years ago. I don't even remember what it was. At that time, I think they were pretty responsive. Very few companies offer phone support anymore; everyone's gone the way of email responses. I'm having that problem with CorelDRAW right now, and I'm waiting three weeks for a technician. So it's a good thing it's not important. Are the customer service and support good? For me, they're as good as anybody else, maybe not as good as some companies, but probably better than most. We deal with HP, IBM, HCL. Some companies only offer email support, and you have to wait for a response. I'm trying to remember the last time I interacted with Splashtop support. They do give you an answer. On a scale of one to ten, they're nine plus. You rarely have to use them, but I'm satisfied when you do.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Asset Management and Auto Pilot are valuable features."
"The biggest thing for us is enforcing logins only from devices that are managed by Intune."
"Intune's unified endpoint management platform is invaluable."
"We are a remote company, and the product helps us manage the global endpoints. It helps us natively manage the endpoints in the cloud from anywhere."
"Our main use is Intune's management of mobile devices, like Android or iPhone devices. The application performs quite well for both types. We successfully managed almost 3,000 endpoints."
"The ability to block and erase remote devices is valuable to us, especially when those devices are lost."
"The most valuable feature of Intune is the user-friendly portal for end users."
"The most useful features in Microsoft Intune are the policy enforcement and conditional access. These features make our operations easier from a company perspective."
"The initial setup is simple."
"The solution is very fast."
"Splashtop Remote Support is my main product, and I use it daily. Its main function is to control systems, which is essential remotely. Additionally, it has useful features such as chat functionality, file transfer, and the ability to add notes with information about a computer or server. Despite being simple software, it is very useful and valuable."
"The file transfers work well, the remote support and hosted solution work well."
"The tool's most valuable features are pricing and easy management."
"The ability to use mobile devices is helpful because we can support our clients from anywhere."

Cons

"I expect Microsoft Intune to have more features in the cloud because there are two major functionalities that we need to be added. This is software metering and license management. These functionalities, for now, must be on-premise. For this purpose, we have set up a SQL Server and I hope that in near future this option will be in the cloud in Microsoft Intune."
"If we could remote into a device, it would be great. Currently, we cannot directly connect to the user device. We have to use other tools such as VMware for connecting to devices."
"There are challenges with Intune, specifically in reporting. Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive."
"The configuration could be better by consolidating options and making it simpler."
"I have a lot of Apple products in my environment. It would be nice to have an improved integration of Apple products with Microsoft Intune without Jam."
"I think there should be a better tracking of the cell phones used on the Intune."
"It would be beneficial to have a more straightforward understanding of Intune's capabilities, presented in a simplified manner."
"There are a lot of updates coming from Microsoft that suddenly affect our security policies."
"The packages that Splashtop has, tend to be a little bit confusing and should be simplified."
"Splashtop Remote Support needs to improve customization."
"The solution should add more options and tools for shortcuts, administration, etc."
"The integration features could be better."
"The solution should be able to make an inventory of computers automatically."
"The phone's a little tricky to work with due to the small screen."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"With our standard E5 agreement with Microsoft, there have been no pricing concerns. Introductory professional services, like a fast-track service, were included with our E5 membership, and there have been no additional costs."
"The product is relatively pricey, but considering its benefits, I'd say it's fair. The benefits outweigh the expensive licensing fees, especially for large organizations, but medium-sized and smaller businesses may be unable to afford it."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"If you're subscribing to Premium or E3, there are no additional costs for Intune, it's included."
"Intune's pricing is reasonable considering its benefits and the high costs it helps avoid."
"We don't get Intune as a separate module. Most of the time, we use it within an enterprise agreement like E3 or E5. Those licenses are at a good price, but what is annoying is that every single year they go higher."
"The price is very reasonable."
"Most of our clients come to us with licensing already in place. On average, it costs $6 per device per month to add Intune to an Office 365 subscription, but I am not sure."
"Splashtop Remote Support is not too expensive. It costs around 800 euros per year."
"The price of the solution is mid-ranged, although it is more cost effective than that of TeamViewer."
"The licensing fees are less than $400 per year."
