Have faced limitations in compatibility and performance but it helps monitor and improve security practices
There are some technical limitations where certain features might support Windows but not Android devices. The compatibility between Windows and macOS also shows significant differences. Microsoft continuously works on improvements, and when we find issues and report them to Microsoft, they address them. To get full benefits from the EDR solution, Microsoft EDR solution needs to be set as the primary antivirus in the system. Without this configuration, many features cannot be accomplished. A specific example occurred in a recent project where the requirement was for emails sent outside the organization to require manager approval before being sent. While the approval system works on Windows, it does not support Android devices, limiting the functionality on mobile platforms.

Centralized management strengthens compliance with good look and feel
From my perspective as a customer and end user, Archer has an impressive look and feel, but the most adaptive feature is its ease of configuration which helps to enhance our process according to our maturity. It's more about our organization getting centralized with an integrated approach that focuses on risk governance and compliance. When can provide a detailed dashboards to management with the details of risks from top-down or bottom-up prioritizing actions based on its criticality or necessity. This allows us to show end users and management where the issues lie and effectively demonstrate accountability and visibility in compliance.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Microsoft Secure Score's most valuable feature is identity."
"Archer seamlessly integrates data systems without requiring additional software."
"RSA Archer has reduced the time and effort required for meetings."
"RSA Archer is a good tool and I have found performing the application, ISMS, and TPRM assessments beneficial."
"The most valuable feature is the enterprise module, which provides the capability of having all of the information stored and linked with everything else."
"The tool has stability, and it allows me to automate whatever process I have."
"Risk management is one of the most impressive features of Archer, especially with the recent restructuring of the user interface."
"The helpful features of RSA Archer include providing an integrated overview of the landscape in the company, which leads the user to use the same inventory and other components, sharing the same set of references and objects we are working on."
"Integration is another great aspect of RSA Archer. From the beginning, integration has been a central focus for RSA, and Archer has always integrated well with most tools on the market today."

Cons

"They could indicate whether a recommendation aligns with different compliance standards."
"GUI could be improved."
"The interface just looks old."
"The technology's a little outdated."
"It would be useful for customers if COBIT 2019 could be translated into different languages."
"Initially, technical support is a little weak, and I would rate it six out of ten. The issue with initial support is that new engineers are often not as experienced."
"The user interface needs work. There are many small text boxes, like credit card size's boxes, where we need to input a lot of text. You can't see what you're typing beyond the tiny window, so you have to scroll or type elsewhere and copy-paste it. It's very inconvenient."
"The product is expensive."
"We evaluated Archer but at the time its poor support for Basel (e.g. cap allocation) was a deal stopper for us."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product pricing is reasonable."
"As I am a developer and responsible for providing production support, I do not have personal knowledge of the pricing. However, my colleagues claim that it is very expensive in comparison with other tools."
"The solution is not at all a cheap product."
"RSA Archer's price is justifiable and not as expensive, compared to ServiceNow. I have heard that the licensing for ServiceNow is much more expensive. I'm unaware whether there are any additional costs after licensing fees."
"Fairly highly-priced, especially for smaller companies."
"The pricing is okay. The licensing costs are very reasonable; it is very affordable to us."
"The license is costly for the solution, but the remaining set up and maintenance is quite cheaper."
"I am not sure about other companies, but it's quite expensive."
"I am not 100% familiar with that, especially with their new model. I just know that the way they've licensed per user to scale is good."
