Have faced limitations in compatibility and performance but it helps monitor and improve security practices
There are some technical limitations where certain features might support Windows but not Android devices. The compatibility between Windows and macOS also shows significant differences. Microsoft continuously works on improvements, and when we find issues and report them to Microsoft, they address them. To get full benefits from the EDR solution, Microsoft EDR solution needs to be set as the primary antivirus in the system. Without this configuration, many features cannot be accomplished. A specific example occurred in a recent project where the requirement was for emails sent outside the organization to require manager approval before being sent. While the approval system works on Windows, it does not support Android devices, limiting the functionality on mobile platforms.

Automates compliance management effectively but needs improved interface and dashboards
The tool basically automates whatever processes you already have, so I cannot specify improvements in that regard. However, my main issue with Archer is the graphics. The graphics have always been lacking. I always need to depend on another tool to read information from Archer to have better dashboards. It is like using Linux, and it has a Linux mindset and interface. I want to use Archer for top management and CEOs, but it looks too technical, and the dashboards are not really friendly. They are bulky, like opening an old Nintendo system from nineteen-ninety. The management agrees that Archer lacks in terms of presentation and dashboarding. It is complex, not user-friendly, and bulky. The interface just looks old.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Microsoft Secure Score's most valuable feature is identity."
"The product is very flexible."
"Integration is another great aspect of RSA Archer. From the beginning, integration has been a central focus for RSA, and Archer has always integrated well with most tools on the market today."
"The most valuable part of the product is the ease-of-use and the opportunity to create custom security applications easily."
"Easy to implement with a high level of automation."
"Its user interface is pretty neat, and there is flexibility in generating the data. You can customize reports at any level. You can directly get reports in Tableau format. If you want to generate statistical data, you can create reports with graphs. There is an adequate amount of flexibility for changing the format, the type of graphs, etc."
"The last project was for an investment group that was using Excel. Shifting their records from one position to another took approximately 15 minutes. In Archer, we created a workflow for them to leverage it, and they could send the single record with one click to one person within seconds. The whole process went from 15 minutes to two minutes to get the approval for the records. The main purpose of Archer is to just make it easy."
"The solution has improved my organization by having everything combined to a single platform."
"It is a very friendly tool. We can easily understand what is going on inside the tool. I like this tool. We can work with the tool for the ERP platform. We can create automated applications based on the requirements."

Cons

"They could indicate whether a recommendation aligns with different compliance standards."
"Some areas are not truly automated but are only scheduled."
"The ticket handling process could be improved."
"The interface just looks old."
"Recently, we made a suggestion for cross references, like for one application to another. There were limitations there, so we're hoping that will be included in the next upgrade."
"The first improvement I would suggest for RSA Archer is a better search feature. The search criteria needs to be improved. Sometimes I do a search and the search doesn't return the exact item I'm looking for. RSA Archer could also be improved by being more user-friendly. Maybe I have been using a limited version of RSA Archer, but I'm not sure whether it has ESG, environmental and social governance. In the next couple of years, ESG is the next feature that will be integrated into GRC tools. I would recommend RSA Archer adds ESG."
"While the AI features are emerging and the cost is comparatively low, it's not yet up to the market standard."
"The management agrees that Archer lacks in terms of presentation and dashboarding. It is complex, not user-friendly, and bulky."
"RSA Archer's best features are advanced workflow, reports, dashboards, and notifications."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product pricing is reasonable."
"The solution's price should be reduced. You only have to pay the license and there are no additional fees."
"The solution’s pricing is moderate."
"The initial purchase is cheap. You pay a nominal price to start then renew the license annually. You also must buy a license for each module. I'm not too fond of that aspect of the licensing model. You buy the elephant and then spend more money to feed the elephant."
"Fairly highly-priced, especially for smaller companies."
"It is not expensive. It is reasonable. We only pay for the licensing."
"I am not 100% familiar with that, especially with their new model. I just know that the way they've licensed per user to scale is good."
"The price of RSA Archer is good. The price isn't too high considering it is a leading tool in the market."
"The pricing is okay. The licensing costs are very reasonable; it is very affordable to us."
