Has reduced manual testing effort with customization options but occasionally crashes during complex executions
One improvement would be to integrate it with modern technologies such as AI, so we can generate test cases by providing the details so that it can generate the structure, and later the person working can modify and enhance it. We can add more customized tools, and reporting can be enhanced. Currently, the reporting part is at a step level, and it does not give details for a particular test case, so improvements in those areas would be beneficial. There are performance issues where the tool crashes sometimes. In particular use cases with numerous steps, it experiences crashes. I have encountered stability and performance issues with it.

Good data security, allowing local installations to prevent data from going to the internet
There were a lot of issues we faced. One notable improvement would be better API integration within the tool itself, as we still rely on external tools like Postman. Additionally, expanding language support beyond C#, Java, and JavaScript to include Python would be beneficial. An AI feature that automatically detects automation object properties and suggests actions would be a great addition. So, in future releases, AI solutions for automated property identification would be helpful.

Pros

"SOATest provided a platform for automated testing and creating an enriched automated regression suite."
"It totally gives control to the end user to play with data and deploy the changes directly and that reflects in the application."
"It has allowed us to build a large library of repeatable automated tests that are able to be quickly executed on demand."
"Good write and read files which save execution inputs and outputs and can be stored locally."
"The best feature of Parasoft SOAtest is the extension tool where we can write our custom scripts, integrate with different languages, and customize as per our needs, which helps in a very positive way where things are not available beforehand; we can test with service virtualization."
"It is widely recognized as the leading enterprise-grade solution for API testing and API integrity."
"They have a feature where they can record traffic and create tests on the report traffic."
"This is the best tool for API and back-end automation."
"Cross browser testing and the ability to perform mobile test automation mean you do not need to buy two different solutions for mobile and web channels separately."
"Ranorex is a great tool to learn automation with pleasure."
"I’ve always found their support second to none, with responses to my questions answered promptly and technical staff who are extremely technical, which is refreshing given the generally basic support previously experienced from other vendors."
"I implemented this tool for several of my customers and I can see the ROI right away."
"Ranorex improved our ui automation by providing handy features such as WaitForExists, Exists, Enabled, Visible"
"It is a good tool to perform user interface testing over a .NET product."
"Ranorex support is speedy, reliable and very friendly."
"It works well for us, we can quickly add service agents wherever we need to so we can run multiple scripts in parallel, and it runs pretty strongly while costing just a fraction of a UFT solution."

Cons

"There are performance issues where the tool crashes sometimes. In particular use cases with numerous steps, it experiences crashes."

"I would like to be able to customize the data grids. They are currently written in Visual Basic and we are unable to get down to the cell level without hard-code."
"The compatibility with different browsers needs to be improved."
"One of the areas the service could be improved would be to have the training in Italian."
