My main use case for ESET Endpoint Encryption is for data protection and compliance across endpoints. A key use case is securing sensitive data on employee laptops, especially for remote users. For example, I implemented full disk encryption across all corporate devices to ensure that even if a laptop is lost or stolen, the data remains protected.

The best features of ESET Endpoint Encryption include full disk encryption, which is the most used one, ensuring all the endpoints are protected. I rely on this daily. Its main key focus on centralized management lets me monitor, enforce policies, and remediate issues from one console, and it allows for user-friendly deployment.

Using ESET Endpoint Encryption has had a clear positive impact on my organization, especially in terms of security operational efficiency. From a security standpoint, I achieved 100% encryption coverage across all the endpoints, which significantly reduces the risk of data breaches due to lost or stolen devices. I also saw a noticeable drop in security incidents.

There are a few areas where ESET Endpoint Encryption could be better. The UX/UI could be more modern, and the management console feels a bit outdated and not very intuitive at times. The reporting limitation is also a big problem; the built-in reports are very basic, and more customizable and detailed reporting would be helpful. Additionally, the integration gaps are significant compared to other tools, and deeper integration with other security platforms such as SIEM and EDR would improve visibility.

ESET Endpoint Encryption could be better as I have experience with Trend Micro encryption, but there are multiple getting challenges and policy defined challenges. However, ESET has a user-friendly console and policy defined features.

I have been familiar with ESET Endpoint Encryption for three years.

The main reason I rated ESET Endpoint Encryption a nine out of ten is that their support is a lengthy process. First, I need to raise a ticket, and after that, if I am facing P zero challenges, I get a delayed response that is not urgent. This is why I am reducing one mark from the rating.

My advice to someone who is considering using ESET Endpoint Encryption is that it is easy to manage. I would tell them that the tool is straightforward to manage. I rated this product nine out of ten overall.

The solution is used for protecting emails, drives, and storage. If we get files on a pen drive, they must be scanned with the tool to avoid potential risks.

It is a good solution. I did not notice any problems. The tool does not slow down the computer. It performs well.

I used Avast. Avast does some updates in the background. It slows down the computer a bit. So, we switched to ESET. The user interface and installation process are similar for both products. Avast had numerous updates that were continuously processed.

The setup was easy. Our IT department configured the tool. I did not change the configurations. The solution works properly on our computers and networks. It is quite a good product.

The quality of protection is very important. The tool must also not slow down the computer. The quality of the user interface and the way the solution is updated must also be considered. The updates depend on certain situations. People who want to use the solution must check how it is working, check the memory, and the processes that are run.

We must check if there are any unwanted features. For example, some antivirus tools install other services that are not necessary, and they are frequently updated. It won’t be a problem for a user who has a computer with more RAM, but it will be difficult to use it on an old computer with less RAM. The IT department uses remote features. Sometimes, they change some configurations remotely.

Overall, I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

The solution's UI is user-friendly. Even a non-technical person can use it. 

The product should be more responsive regarding feedback if it detects something in our infrastructure. I believe there's a backend that their engineers use to detect viruses in our system. We would appreciate it if they could promptly provide feedback and give us recommendations on how to better protect our infrastructure beyond their system. Additionally, we hope for improved integration with the other systems we currently use. It would be beneficial if they could collaborate to create something that facilitates integration between these systems.

I have been working with the product for three months. 

ESET Endpoint Encryption's deployment is straightforward. It has a manual and technical support available if there's anything you don't understand. It took us maybe an hour or two to complete the setup.

We paid for an annual subscription, and it was reasonable.

The solution can be deployed through an in-house team if you have enough knowledge. If it's a large enterprise deployment, you need to take a consultant's help.

ESET Endpoint Encryption is moderately priced. ESET Endpoint Encryption has both a perpetual license and a subscription license.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten.

From the sales point of view, the product’s most valuable feature is its ability to lock machines if something gets misplaced or stolen.

There could be an option for users to restart the system without a password. At present, when we provide remote support, they can’t access the system without an encryption password.

We are using Microsoft BitLocker. In comparison, ESET Endpoint Encryption is more manageable and deployable as well. It is challenging to deploy Microsoft if the machines aren’t connected with Azure or Active Directory.

The product is easy to implement and configure.

There are some inexpensive products compared to ESET Endpoint Encryption, but they lack the essential features.

ESET Endpoint Encryption is easy to use. I rate it a ten out of ten.

I have many business documents, and because I travel a lot, I work on multiple computers. So I want to have something on the cloud but also secure. So I use an encrypted drive for storing some files, and I synchronize the encrypted file to the cloud and to Google Drive. Then I can use those encrypted files anywhere, and I'm not really worried about exposing them to any other people. So this is the main usage.

The virtual disk and encrypted disk are the most valuable features since they can store all the files and can synchronize the cloud, keeping it safe. As a part of management, for some colleagues, I will enforce an encryption policy. So I can enforce those files from the company in an encrypted disk to avoid some data leak or other such issues. The virtual disk and encryption policy are useful features of the solution.

The overall compatibility of the device is an area where the solution lacks. So, it may be improved. Sometimes they have problems with certain special file formats, or Mac has a problem. So they may need to find a way.

I think one of the functions that a customer needs is that they want the tool to be more compatible with their shareholders because, for Windows, there's a very tight limitation that doesn't allow encryption software to increase files on the shared folder. So, I think it's a very good setting and feature that they can improve.

I have been using ESET Endpoint Encryption for three years. My company has a partnership with ESET. Also, I am using the solution's latest version.

It is a very stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

It has everything an encryption software should have. So, it is quite enough for my use cases.

Since we are partners with ESET, we support ourselves. But on the other hand, if we got advanced feature-related problems, we go to ESET. I think they offer pretty good support. They help us solve some advanced technical problems. Okay. I rate the support a nine out of ten.

In the past, I tried some open-source ones like TrueCrypt. But it's not working anymore because they have bugs or something which they are not fixing. So, I won't use it anymore. Also, it was limited and not that user-friendly. They're not that great.

The initial setup was very easy. The solution is deployed on the on-premises version, though they have a cloud version available. The deployment took almost a day.

ESET is pretty good at pricing. Not extremely cheap, but reasonable. On a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest and ten is the highest, I rate its pricing a two.

I did evaluate other options, and the reason I decided not to use them is because their performance was not good.

For people who travel a lot using multiple computers. And also for a company that has staff that handles sensitive data, especially touching USBs. I think they probably need to use encryption on USB. Overall, it is an easy-to-use and effective solution. I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

It is a background app encrypting the systems. 

It is very secure and we have finally decided to use this after a thorough check. The interface is easy to navigate.

There should be more frequent updates.
