What is our primary use case?
Keepit is one of those SaaS backup solutions that really covers all industries, whether you're in healthcare, financial, or retail because it provides data protection for Microsoft Office 365 and Google Work Suite.
They cover all industries based on workloads. It is very flexible.
They are open to working in any industry, as long as your Microsoft environment isn't completely sprawled.
What is most valuable?
I love Keepit.
The most valuable feature of this solution is definitely its pricing point.
Invoicing is simple. It is one price that includes both licensing and retention requirements, which is rare in today's market. That, I believe, is a significant differentiation for them.
In addition to the completeness of coverage provided by Microsoft Office 365 backup and restoration. Unlike Keepit's competitors, you restore the program with all of its features, functionality, and components.
What needs improvement?
They definitely need to improve their reporting.
Their dashboard is good. It can always be improved, but for now, it's really simple: you see what works and what doesn't. However, once you get into the enterprise space, you want to make sure that your dashboard has additional, reporting possibilities.
You will want more customization and more options available.
Because if you move into the enterprise-class space in the financial industry, they will want to know regulations, where the data is held, and how long the retention periods are by marketing group and per type of data. You want to have hooks into the data types, which Keepit doesn't have now, but I'm sure it will soon.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have had experience since Veritas. Veritas OEMed it years ago on the Veritas SaaS backup monitor. That is obviously one of their most successful OEMs, but they are no longer with their Veritas. They are private.
How are customer service and support?
They are actually, they are very good, very responsive, and are experts in their field.
It's generally a Microsoft issue or something to do with the public cloud in which the program is hosted, but they're really good at what they do.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I believe the MSRP is around $5 or $6 USD per person, per month, and per seat.
What other advice do I have?
We have a customer and a partner relationship with Keepit.
I would rate Keepit a nine out of ten.
