How has it helped my organization?
The product notifies us about the actions performed by the users. We can investigate why the incident was escalated and take the right action. We need records of the actions being performed to investigate why the action was performed. The management needs visibility on what the users are doing with the data. The tool helps us know whether the users are moving or copying the data.
What is most valuable?
The management does not want personal information to be captured. It breaches the users' privacy. Sometimes, tools can record bank transaction details, but people are not comfortable with it. ManageEngine only captures the transaction in a log form. That is why we chose ManageEngine. The detection and alert features are valuable. The log transactions are also helpful.
What needs improvement?
The file integrity monitoring feature is difficult to manage because some files are confidential while others are not. We use a different tool to classify the files as confidential and non-confidential. The sensitive data discovery and classification features are not of much help. It is a difficult process. The controlling features must be improved. The interface must be improved.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the solution for almost two years.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was straightforward. The deployment took one month. We needed two people to deploy the tool. The agents are installed on all the computers, but only selected people manage it.
What was our ROI?
We will see an ROI in two to four years.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is reasonable. It is not very expensive.
What other advice do I have?
We tested other options, but we decided to stay with ManageEngine. The other products are also quite good. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten.
