I use OpenVPN Access Server to access certain networks from home or external locations.

The most valuable features of the solution are that it is easy to use and quick overall.

Sometimes OpenVPN Access Server is difficult to connect to, and in our company, we don't know why it is difficult. The product may not connect if we lose connection at times. There are certain shortcomings in the product's stability that need improvement.

In general, I want to improve the connect connectivity of the solution since I sometimes face stability issues.

I have been using OpenVPN Access Server for five years. I use the solution's latest version.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The product's scalability is good. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

There are three users of OpenVPN Access Server in my company.

The product is not extensively used, and we do not have plans to increase the number of users in the company.

I have previously used solutions similar to OpenVPN Access Server, but I don't remember their names.

The initial setup phase of OpenVPN Access Server was fine, and it was easy.

Only I am involved in the deployment and maintenance of the solution.

The installation phase was carried out in-house by myself.

I don't need to pay for its license since it is an open-source tool.

The solution is okay for me.

I recommend the solution to those planning to use it. OpenVPN Access Server is a good solution.

We have a virtual machine set up on Google Cloud. The virtual machine is connected to all our clients. It is connected to OpenVPN, which is connected to Google Cloud. It connects our clients throughout the country. We also have clients in other countries.

The product’s adaptability is valuable. We can connect to clients through different methods. We could set up a site-to-site connection, or we could set it up as a tunnel. There are a lot of different ways of setting up the connection. We can try a different method if something doesn't work for a client's security configuration or firewall. The product is fairly easy to use.

The logs should be made easier to read. If there is an issue, it takes me a while to find it in the log.

I am using the solution currently.

The solution is quite stable. When we first set it up, there were some issues. I only have to complain about some issues with the connection. We've used other services and were able to stay connected permanently.

We have been able to have all our clients on the server so far. I haven't had a problem so far with adding more users. We have about 50 users.

The support team is really quick to jump on any support cases. I had a case open about two weeks ago. It was related to our DNS. I received an email within 15 minutes. The team set up the support tickets and worked with me. I rate support a nine or ten out of ten.

We use the product for secure remote access, including WiFi and IoT device security.

The product has strong encryption and scalability features. It provides security for private network connections.

The product’s connectivity is very slow. It could be faster.

We have 100 OpenVPN Access Server users in our organization. It is a scalable product.

We have a network engineer to look after technical issues within the organization. However, we escalate queries to the OpenVPN’s support team over email. They are responsive.

We have used Cisco IOS Security.

The initial setup process is straightforward. It takes less than an hour to deploy. It involves choosing the server, IP address, or domain name and setting it up.

I implemented the product myself.

OpenVPN Access Server helps us limit errors or additional damage to the organization.

The product offers yearly as well as monthly subscription plans. It has moderate pricing.

I rate OpenVPN Access Server a nine out of ten. I advise others to check whether the server connects well with the product. It helps them avoid any loopholes for the account while entering the network for configuration.

We connect to the OpenVPN using a VPN for any computer not directly connected to our local server. This is necessary because multiple offices need to use the software developed on the local server.

We use OpenVPN Access Server on every device that needs to connect to the server. It's the best way to achieve better latency and connect remotely.

It is easy to use. We connect to the server and launch our software in between.

It should automate our processes. Our developers continuously improve the software, but we'll continue using PowerBuilder unless we undertake a significant project to migrate to a different platform, possibly Java. Additionally, we need RPA software. I've also looked into Twilio, which provides automated SMS alerts. We're assessing how useful that service could be for our needs.

We need RPA software and automatic testing software to make any improvements.

We want to scale internationally. To do this, we'll create a blank copy of our software, replicate our database architecture schema, and then prepare it for the new location. Additionally, we plan to implement automation tools, such as RPA and automated testing, to catch up on the technological aspects we've been lagging. Since our current software is built on PowerBuilder, starting from scratch is challenging. Therefore, we'll continue using it while integrating new resources to improve our system.

It is suitable for small to medium businesses. We have three locations: one laboratory and two offices. We have approximately 120 to 130 employees across these locations.

The initial setup was very easy, and one system administrator did it.

It's efficient. Connecting to the local server without it would be much more difficult. Every employee who works from another office has to use it, so it's essential.

It is not that expensive. It makes it more efficient for some people's jobs.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

The solution is primarily used for connecting desktops or laptops. Users can connect to this from an insecure environment. 

I like that you can have a safe access point from all kinds of places. 

The security is fine.

The pricing is okay. 

I have found the stability to be good. 

It offers a straightforward setup. 

I haven't had issues with the solution. It's a good product. 

I'd like the solution to have more access points and more speed.

I don't have information about the scalability. I haven't tried to scale it.

I've never used technical support in the past. I can't speak to how helpful they would be. 

The solution is simple to set up. The deployment is very fast. It takes mere minutes. 

The solution has an annual subscription. The price is okay. It is not very expensive.

It can create an environmentally friendly setting, such as a park or green space, where I can interact with other people and use various tools and resources.

OpenVPN Access Server allows us to establish a secure connection to an IP address that would otherwise be inaccessible without using a VPN.

The stability of the OpenVPN Access Server has room for improvement.

The solution is stable but requires some work each time we scale.

I previously used Prisma Access by Palo Alto Networks but we did not renew the account.

Initially, we implemented this OpenVPN client. We have Google Authenticator with OpenVPN, so we have multifactor authentication for the users.

The best thing is that it is open source and free of cost.

It's secure.

It's a good solution for small firms. 

You do need expertise in implementation if you do the initial setup yourself. As it is open-source, if you run into issues, there is nobody available to help you. 

We can have more interfaces with the Active Directory. For example, if you want to integrate, it's not really working very well as an authentication method. 

Security-wise it's using good protocols like SecureONE, similar to AnyConnect. However, implementation-wise for the interfacing to the AD and interfacing to the Authenticators, it's a bit difficult. We had updated this a year before, and we had to revert it back to work with Google Authenticator.

I've been using the solution for about five years or so.

While it is stable, I would warn that while doing the updates, there is a concern. If you are doing an update, you should have a full backup and consider the functionality so that it runs as expected. You might have to redeploy the product again in order to do a proper update. 

We have maybe 50 to 100 users on the solution. It's a small server. It might be able to scale a bit more, however, we haven't really tried to do that.

We have the free version installed. We don't have a support contract.

The initial setup is complex. 

We tried initially with Centaurus and it was not really working. 

The deployment itself took about three weeks. It was a bit time-consuming. 

It's free to use. We have an open-source version. 

You would need to pay extra for support. It's not as costly as Cisco or Fortinet, and therefore investing a bit extra in support may be worth it. 

The solution is at a client location. I'm not sure which version they're on. 

It's critical to understand the solution if you decide to use it, and if it is a necessary solution that you need to depend on, you should have some sort of support contract in place. 

I'd rate the solution six out of ten.
