Primarily, it is the way Panzura CloudFS handles the file locks and the way these filers, along with the authoritative copy of all our data, which is about 27 terabytes located in an AWS bucket in the cloud, operate.
Panzura CloudFS enhances collaboration by providing worldwide data access and reliable cloud-backed storage management, including features like file synchronization, snapshots, and disaster recovery support. It reduces on-prem data center footprints through cloud workload management. However, it is expensive, NFS service needs development, and some file types like GIS formats face compatibility issues. Data is available in 25-terabyte increments per license, and first-level support has been imperfect, with pricing needing improvement.
