Primarily, it is the way Panzura CloudFS handles the file locks and the way these filers, along with the authoritative copy of all our data, which is about 27 terabytes located in an AWS bucket in the cloud, operate.
Panzura CloudFS offers valuable features like collaboration, file snapshots, and data protection. It provides anywhere access with components such as PanFS and NAS while synchronizing files efficiently. The platform supports data recovery but lacks in alerting systems and compatibility with GIS data formats. Transitioning to Azure AD could enhance its performance. Although it reduces data center needs after moving workloads to Azure, it remains costly without reducing storage costs.
