After switching to Percona Server, we were able to resolve those issues quickly.
Percona Server offers valuable replication and high availability, reducing downtime and enhancing backups, providing a cost-effective, scalable alternative to services like RDS. Its performance outpaces regular MySQL, and as open source, it remains a flexible option. However, it could improve support, documentation for Kubernetes deployment, and query capabilities. Limitations include not reclaiming disk space and lacking flashback capabilities, though it serves as a safety net if MongoDB's products become costly.
