I have been using Protegrity Data Security for approximately one year.

We have some performance issues with Protegrity Data Security but we are in the process of fixing it. However, the performance of the solution is only as good as your hardware.

The initial setup of Protegrity Data Security was straightforward. However, we had a few problems, it's not multi-tenanted. It does not have a hierarchy of roles and differential priorities.

To have the initial sandbox version of Protegrity Data Security up and running, took approximately one week. However, it needed to be set up in a resilient way because if it fails, then it is going to be a challenge bringing back the lost information. We have to be particular in terms of architecting it correctly which is taking us a bit of time. We are anticipating anywhere between four to six weeks to be finished.

For people who are operating only on structured information, Protegrity Data Security would work very well. If they have information that is unstructured, semi-structured, such as video images, then this solution is not the tool for them.

I rate Protegrity Data Security an eight out of ten.

We use the solution to encrypt sensitive data like PII data. Any unauthorized person cannot find the exact sensitive value in case of data issues. We are using that tool to protect sensitive data.

Protegrity has given us various options. For example, if your system is not compatible to do some actions, it will bend it in such a way. They provide solutions to help the system adapt to the tokenization for sensitive data. They are providing very good protection.

Protegrity is using a different OS, which has some bugs. Sometimes, it's causing an initialization error.

Protegrity provided the user manual. We followed the steps that they gave. We use the Linux platform. Everything was documented, and with the help of their solution architect, we did the procedures, and it was very easy.

The solution has moderate pricing.

Protegrity is an easy-access tool, and its team will help you from the beginning of the architecture. They will tell you about the bugs or errors from the application point of view that can be rectified from your end. The Protegrity team will give all this information. Until the completion of implementation, they will stay with you, and post-implementation also, they will help you.

I will give the topmost rating because of the easy UI, supporting and troubleshooting document, and the upgrade guide. Everything is perfect. Whatever the changes they are making in their environment, they are updating us over email. If you forget to let them know that your issue is not resolved. They will send you continuous emails even after 10 or 20 days. They keep on following up on your issue in a very decent manner. Their support is also perfect, even on Saturday and Sunday. They do not hesitate to help you. They will Understand your issue and its severity and help you.

Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
