We use the product mainly for network automation, particularly in telecom systems. It helps us collect data about the latest purchases and results of commands. We process it further and conclude the network element behavior. Later, we communicate with the end customer to ensure the optimal health of the system of network devices.
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
The platform allows us to create workflows easily.
What is most valuable?
The product is easy to integrate. It offers many libraries and efficient workflow engines, enabling an ease of orchestration.
What needs improvement?
Currently, the libraries are more specific to a few network equipment providers. They could introduce more libraries from different vendors.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Resolve Actions for three years. At present, we use the latest version.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a stable platform.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scaling the platform requires virtual environments and changing the entire file system. It is cumbersome and takes a little effort.
I rate the scalability without any challenge an eight out of ten. However, considering the present challenges, I rate it a five. Many new products with dynamic scaling features are available in the market.
How are customer service and support?
We encounter challenges for the technical support services related to time zones. It isn't easy to sync up with the support team's time.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used UiPath before. It is not exactly a process automation product but a RPA solution. In comparison, Resolve Actions has a good set of libraries.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup process is straightforward. It usually takes a day if all the prerequisites are met. It requires correctly configuring the property file. The process is particularly uncomplicated if the deployment is on a standalone system. However, in a clustered environment, the property file needs to be deployed on each server with precise sequencing, following the guidelines provided by the system. The installation script is then executed to install the overall product.
The deployment time depends on different use cases and requires one executive to work on it. The level of maintenance support is also based on the use cases. Two executives can easily maintain the product for a simple vanilla setup with normal use cases.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
They offer a subscription-based license and not a perpetual license for the platform. You have to purchase a yearly license.
What other advice do I have?
Resolve Actions has improved our organization's operational efficiency by automating the process. Earlier, our customers had to log in manually to the network element and depend on the network engineers. It took around 15 minutes. Now, the process gets done within a minute or two.
I rate the product an eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
