| Owner at ANOC | 5.0 | I appreciate that SonicWall SonicWave Access Points integrate wireless control within the firewall, unlike Cisco. However, improving network reliability is challenging due to interference from overlapping networks and nearby airport radar, which disrupts my wireless signal every nine seconds. |
| CEO & Technology Specialist at Karman Infotech Private Limited | 5.0 | The SonicWall SonicWave Access Points provide invaluable cloud-based device management and integration with ETP solutions, eliminating the need for a firewall. While pricing is high, the models enhance performance, boost productivity, and surpass competitors like Fortinet in support services. |
| System Specialist at MEC Networks Corporation | 5.0 | I am using SonicWall SonicWave Access Points for customer Proof of Concept. The security features, particularly the basic firewall content filtering, are appreciated. Management is challenging for some users unfamiliar with configuration, and AI capabilities could be enhanced. |
| Consultant at a media company with 51-200 employees | 4.0 | I recommend SonicWave for WiFi management due to its good features and stability, despite complex initial integration and high cost. It's a solid solution, and I rate it eight out of ten. |

Unlike the Cisco solution that needs a dedicated wireless controller outside of a firewall, SonicWall has everything in one box. Fortinet is close to it.
We have a lot of overlapping wireless networks with a lot of cheap equipment that does not run on any rules or regulations. The best way to improve the wireless network, like in SonicWaves, is to defeat these networks by isolating, preventing them, or overcoming their wireless signal. We try to do that, but I live near an airport, and the AirPortRadar glitches my wireless network every nine seconds.
Whenever I asked for SonicWall support, I had great support, technical references, and the solution.
Positive
The initial setup is easy. The installation takes around five minutes.
The pricing of the SonicWave Access Points solution is different in the US and Brazil. In the US, the solution is priced more competitively than other vendors. In Brazil, the exchange rate is a problem. To address this, SonicWall managers in Brazil are running several sales promotions and improving the price of new units.
We make our customers SonicWall clients. We have a solution package: If you have a contract to network with us, we will deliver SonicWall firewalls, access points, VPN clients, and all the other equipment with the SonicWall solution. We have been selling this solution for the past 30 years.
We had a customer three months ago struggling with a Fortinet solution. We convinced them that the Fortinet solution would not work perfectly during renewal. We made a bet and delivered SonicWall equipment for free for one week, and if they had no more issues, they would buy it. That's precisely what happened. The customer ended up purchasing an $80,000 SonicWall solution.
The SonicWall SonicWave Access Points are a good product compared to Cisco, Sophos, and Fortinet. In Brazil, Ruckus is taking market share in some key areas, such as hotels and hospitals. They are into big solutions with thousands of access points.
Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

I am using the SonicWall SonicWave Access Point for our Proof of Concept (POC) to our customers.
The security features of SonicWall are highly valued, particularly the embedded basic firewall content filtering included in the features license.
My customers are satisfied with the performance of the unit, however, the main issue is management.
Additionally, some customers have inquired whether SonicWave could enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities.
The main issue is the management of the access points. They are sometimes difficult to manage from the end-user side because they are not yet familiar with the configuration.
The unit is almost one year and two months old.
My customers are satisfied with the performance of the SonicWave unit.
As of now, I am still seeking other features of SonicWall but remain satisfied with its security features.
I provide support for the SonicWave Access Points.

I rate SonicWall a nine out of ten.
It should provide training to end users to enhance their knowledge.
SonicWave Access is the application that controls the appliance and eases management for WiFi devices access points. It's integrated with our WiFi control manager. We are partners with SonicWall.
This is a very good management option that can be managed through the cloud or firewall. It's a very good solution for controlling or managing the device and offers good integration with many capabilities.
Integrating with the firewall and management console was a little complex.
The solution is very stable, although we had some issues immediately after deployment. Since it's been up and running, it's very stable.
The solution is scalable although we haven't scaled. It has a fixed number of users that it will support, but if you go above that number you can add on another appliance and it will support the increased number. We have 10 access points and close to 200 employees connected.
We called technical support to help us with the implementation and they were very helpful. There's also a lot of documentation available online.
The initial setup was somewhat complex.
The licensing is on an annual basis and is on the pricey side.
If you're looking to deploy a WiFi solution, I would recommend going for the SonicWave series. It offers all the features for basic WiFi requirements.
I rate this product an eight out of 10.
