What is our primary use case?
I belong to a Center of Excellence practice group, and I generally get projects for short durations. For example, if customers want to implement a Proof of Concept (POC) or implement a Master Data Management solution for the first phases using two or three different source systems, I am quite comfortable. My ratio for delivering a full-fledged solution is 70 versus 30.
For one of the customers in the jewelry industry, Tata Tanishq, we have used Syniti Master Data Management as the main platform, as they don't have much complexity at the organization level where we can deal with heavier solutions such as Collibra.
What is most valuable?
The central data repository feature in Syniti Master Data Management is wonderful; it is an excellent feature, in my opinion.
The impact of Syniti Master Data Management on organizations is a two-way situation. For example, you can buy a Mercedes car, but if you are not driving that car, it serves no purpose. Syniti Master Data Management is similar to that Mercedes car for organizations, and it is their responsibility to drive this software effectively to get the maximum benefit from it.
What needs improvement?
Regarding Syniti Master Data Management's features, there is a concept called data as a product. Looking at that term, Syniti Master Data Management lacks a few things as it is a customized solution we provide to the customer. The customer demands include four to five different elements, such as data cataloging or metadata management, data lineage, data quality, Master Data Management, and data freshness, which need to be integrated into one solution that currently I cannot see in any software.
The main focus is more on Master Data Management. I recently had an interview where they pointed out that I only own 10% of what they are looking for. This also applies to Syniti Master Data Management, which is more focused on creating golden records, but at an organization level, they need a more concrete solution from just one platform or vendor. Other solutions such as Informatica are moving toward Customer 360 degrees and Product 360 degrees, integrating easily into environments, while Syniti Master Data Management is somewhat lacking in customizing solutions based on customer needs.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Syniti Master Data Management is a stable solution; we have not encountered many bugs or problems with it.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Syniti Master Data Management is a scalable solution.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support from Syniti Master Data Management rates between eight and nine on a scale of one to ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Regarding the deployment options of Syniti Master Data Management in both the cloud and on-premises, I have never implemented this solution on-premises. However, from my previous experience with Informatica MDM, those tend to be bulky and time-consuming solutions. The cloud journey is different, as we typically need quick wins and solutions, demonstrating our worth in a short period. Therefore, we break it down into silos to showcase use cases that satisfy management and key stakeholders to ensure we can go the long run.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Syniti Master Data Management is straightforward, not complex at all; it's a simple configuration.
What other advice do I have?
I have experience with Syniti Master Data Management, specifically with this solution. I am an implementer of Syniti Master Data Management and work with a System Integrator company. My main role is that I am a technology-agnostic person, and I provide information on which tool will be the best fit for the customer without bias toward any product. We sell Syniti Master Data Management or Reltio depending on what the customer needs, and we have partnerships with cloud providers AWS and Microsoft Azure, as well as vendors in this space.
On a scale of one to ten, I rate Syniti Master Data Management a six.

Public Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
