If we are looking for virtualized an app without any hesitation we can go for this VMware thinapp
VMware ThinApp accelerates application deployment and simplifies application migration with agentless application virtualization. Deploy ThinApp packages on "locked-down" PCs and allow end users to run their favorite applications without compromising security. ThinApp eliminate application conflicts by isolating applications from each other and the underlying OS into a single executable file that can be easily deployed to many endpoints.
VMware ThinApp [EOL] was previously known as ThinApp.

| Associate Operations at a financial services firm with 10,001+ employees | 5.0 | I find VMware ThinApp excellent for app virtualization, cutting costs by simplifying updates and infrastructure. It's easy to set up, stable, and scalable, though some features are still developing. I recommend it. |
| VMware NSX T/V Consulting Engineer /Solutions Architect at Onebox Solutions | 4.0 | I found ThinApp excellent for virtualizing challenging apps, extending their lifecycle with great stability and ROI. Setup was straightforward, and I only suggest minor virtual driver improvements. |

If we are looking for virtualized an app without any hesitation we can go for this VMware thinapp
In the past we used multiple servers to load-balance the application and when we pushed updates to the application we would need to check it on all servers. But when it comes to VMware ThinApp we can do it on a file server or Isilon share and this helps cut costs and create a healthy environment.
If we publish an application in Citrix through a server we should have more capacity. On multiple occasions, some applications need updates so at that point we need to disable the servers. But in this case there is no need for disabling user sessions, they can use it and we can do just gpupdate to update all servers in a row.
Creating a ThinApp version, which was already packaged by the packaging team, helped me to publish an icon on Citrix.
There are some improvements needed regarding different types of options and still they are in research and build stage so once everything is set it will look good.
We have not had any issues in this environment.

The initial setup is very easy but the key is how you package this app.

When I joined the organisation they had been already using this product so I did not have a chance to evaluate other products. But Microsoft App-V does the same thing.
It's a good product, go for it.
I found the capture & deploy features very valuable.
Organizations are using it to virtualize applications that traditionally would Not be good candidates from app standpoint (ie: Siebel web apps with IE). It is allowing firms to extend application lifecycle for internal specific business units usage even if the app is out of support with vendor etc.
There are some functional areas Thinapp could be improved. Perhaps including application specific or hardware specific virtual drivers

Thinapp was preferred by customer ops team. they had previously used it to virtualize other internally used apps and it worked well.
Fairly straight forward to install ..capture app...kickoff virtualized app bundled in IE
Implemented internal on project. Worked direct with both Vmware Support & Siebel support which I thought provided a strong level of support. As this was a thinapp v6/7 enterprise editions.. virtualization project for Siebel webapp on IE.

A great solution to get started with app virtualization , app mobility and deployment
It is the best way to manage and share most apps with a volume license without the need to go to users in big enterprises and install or check the problem.
