iCIMS Recruit can be improved with AI integration. I would like to see smarter candidate matching and ways to identify fraudulent applications, third parties, and deep fakes.
iCIMS Recruit is a highly configurable platform, but there are areas where I think the product could continue to mature. iCIMS is frequently making enhancements and rolling out new functionality, so some features are still evolving. One area I’ve heard other iCIMS administrators mention is the desire for more automation around job folder statuses and the ability to incorporate it into those workflows. The Interview Scheduling Module is also continuing to expand. Some functionality has been added recently, such as room management, which allows interviewers to include conference rooms when scheduling interviews. The ability to invite candidates to self-schedule their interviews is another newer feature that I find particularly useful. I’m also interested in seeing how the Hiring Automation tool develops. It was released relatively recently, and while I’ve found it useful so far, I think it’s too early to fully evaluate its capabilities. I’m waiting to see what additional functionality iCIMS introduces as the tool continues to evolve. Regarding AI, I think iCIMS appears to take governance and security seriously. We don’t currently use many of the native AI capabilities, but iCIMS does offer Talent AI, which can match information from a job description with a candidate’s resume and profile, including their work experience. At this point, I would describe the functionality as relatively basic, with room for improvement in both capability and the accuracy and reliability of the output. Overall, I see iCIMS as a platform that is continuing to develop. There are several useful features available today, but I think some of the newer functionality will need additional development and refinement before its full value can be assessed.

I do not find anything to improve with iCIMS Recruit as everything I used was good, and I do not see any other way to improve it. It is all good. As far as I know, it was all good, so I would not be aware of anything else that can be improved.

I don't know how iCIMS Recruit can be improved because I don't use it now. I use another system, but I wish I could go back to iCIMS Recruit. I know that they are very expensive and it's a long implementation process, but they're still my favorite applicant tracking system I've used in twenty years. I don't think I have much more to add about needed improvements for iCIMS Recruit. Applicant tracking systems are expensive and implementation takes a long time, especially to port over information from a previous system and understand how your processes work. I don't think it's much different than everything else, but I know iCIMS Recruit is quite a large system to work with.
Implementation can be a bit lengthy and complicated, which is an area where iCIMS Recruit needs improvement. Customer support and automation are areas where iCIMS Recruit is less impressive, and they need to improve more on automation processes. Configurability could be a bit higher because some competitors might have an edge in terms of UX, recruiting workflow, modern recruiter experiences, and sourcing or CRM-oriented experiences. A native HCM is important because many times I have to integrate with different HCMs like Workday or SAP. Pricing is not very transparent, as sometimes I have to keep adding things and they keep adding more prices in terms of lower cost and faster implementation. Some user functionality can require too many steps. Customer support can be inconsistent sometimes, and I have seen some delays. The iCIMS Recruit support team does not always provide very proactive support. Implementations are usually very lengthy and they really need to improve their implementation strategy to cut down a substantial amount of time.

It is hard to say how iCIMS Recruit can be improved because, from my position, there was nothing beforehand. The entire talent acquisition team is very happy with the results, and moving from manual processes to something automated that provides workflows and notifications leads to seeing only the positives. I am certain it has some weaknesses, but I think the software is great for our needs. One element that would have been more helpful was filtering candidates more efficiently. I was looking for specific criteria in candidates' resumes or their cover letters because we had a high volume of applicants, around three hundred to four hundred plus for one position, which is incredibly hard to filter. I was getting granular, looking for candidates with five years of experience in specific software, and I wish I could have added more criteria in my filtering instead of filtering one by one. More customization or filtering options in the tool would be useful when dealing with a high volume of applicants.

iCIMS Recruit can be improved from its user interface. As I mentioned before, it appears quite daunting when you first encounter it. If it were a little less overwhelming for new users, that would be a significant improvement because it would discourage fewer people from using it. However, once you engage with it, it does become easier.
With the changing times and the new applicant tracking systems in the market, there is a lot more that can be added now. There is so much that can be done with iCIMS Recruit. iCIMS Recruit was easy to use, but it did not have all the features to shortlist candidates. For example, if I received 1,000 applications for a role, it was almost impossible for me to narrow it down to the candidates that were in a specific geographic location or had specific skills. Applicant screening was very difficult sometimes simply because there was absolutely no way to create filters or sorting or run keyword searches. I think this is a very basic feature that when you review an applicant in iCIMS Recruit, you should be able to run a filter on all the applicants that applied, and those were completely missing. As I mentioned, it was challenging to shortlist candidates based on what I saw on iCIMS Recruit. Eventually, the company moved away from iCIMS Recruit simply because it did not provide all the options to filter, keyword search, or navigate applicants. There were typically a lot of candidates that used to apply. It was painful for a recruiter to go through all the applicants one by one.

iCIMS Recruit can be improved by adding additional features related to looking for attrition rate and seeing how many people actually stay within roles, especially for those high-volume roles that have high turnover. I do not recall seeing any features related to attrition rate, but as a recruiter working on roles that tend to have high turnover, seeing where my percentage falls and how I can improve attrition rate through system information that I do not currently have available would be great for a robust recruiting team.
iCIMS Recruit could be improved by adding a block to explain certain things. For example, there are some years where I was a Navy Reservist and held multiple jobs at the same time. This makes the chronological flow of the resume awkward because sometimes I work two or three jobs at the same time in a year, so I wish there was something that would allow for an explanation to make more sense.

If reporting could be more robust, that would be phenomenal. Any time you're obviously dumping into Excel and having to manually manipulate data it takes time. It would be great if we could do everything in the platform. They do offer some great products. I wish it was all bundled together. They have an Offer Suite you have to pay additional for, which would be great if it was included with their initial product. There are items as a system admin we should have access to change. I do believe iCIMS is working on a certificate solution, where we would be allowed to make some of those changes ourselves.

iCIMS Recruit is perfect, and there is nothing at all that could be improved, even something small or a feature I wish it had.
