What is our primary use case?
We are working with Cooke Aquaculture, and we use
Boomi AtomSphere Flow for integration processes. It is specifically used for application-to-application integration. In certain cases, we also use it for data engineering, including moving data to
Snowflake or our warehouses.
What is most valuable?
Boomi AtomSphere Flow gives us flexibility. Even though our integration requirements are not complex, ranging from simple to medium,
Boomi fulfills all our integration needs. We use
Boomi for various types of integrations, such as SFTP integration, database integration,
Snowflake integration, and we also perform transformations using maps and scripts.
What needs improvement?
Boomi is not as flexible compared to other integration products like IBM's. For complex integration scenarios, Boomi could improve its flexibility. Moreover, it lacks features like the ESQL scripting language found in IBM's, which makes integration transformations easy. Boomi does not allow setting queue names and table names dynamically.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working on Boomi AtomSphere Flow since 2023.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
The deployment is straightforward and easy for beginners. The tool is designed to be user-friendly, which is a plus. We can upskill a new resource on the tool within a month, enabling them to be productive quickly.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Boomi AtomSphere Flow is stable, and I would rate its stability at nine.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
In terms of scalability, the tool is quite scalable, and I would rate it eight or nine.
How are customer service and support?
I have not personally dealt with Boomi's customer support, but my team mentions that support is not good. I would rate it a five.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have worked on other integration products like IBM's. IBM has features like the ESQL scripting language, which facilitates easier integration transformations. However, due to our integration complexity being simple to medium, Boomi fulfills our requirements.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was straightforward and easy for beginners.
What was our ROI?
The tool is easy to learn, so we can quickly get new team members up to speed, but there are no other significant time savings or efficiency gains.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is good for a small-scale company like ours, and the licensing cost is reasonable.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend Boomi AtomSphere Flow if the integrations are not complex. For integration complexities ranging from simple to medium, Boomi is good to use. Overall, I rate Boomi AtomSphere Flow a seven.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
