For AI initiatives, you need to purchase a separate AI license to integrate with SAP Business ByDesign. I'd recommend SAP Business ByDesign for large companies that want to check data graphically, especially for monthly income, expenses, and taxes in the millions or trillions. Overall, for large-scale companies, I'd rate it ten out of ten.

There are certain areas of improvement. One main area is the absence of payroll functionality in BYD, and as far as I know, BYD has no plans to introduce it. Another aspect is related to warehouse operations, where they want integrated processes, including barcode scanning for material movements. This feature is currently missing as well. Additionally, the clients require seamless integration with the Pulse system for updating inventory and master data. At the end of the day, they want sales data from the Power system to be automatically received in BYD. However, this integration is complex and partially functional. They also have a requirement to bring purchase order creation into the Pulse system. Handling these data integrations and processes is a bit challenging for BYD. These are the areas where BYD could improve.

The Purchase to Pay process could benefit from further sophistication and additional functionality. It would be helpful for the user community to receive clearer information about the future roadmap of the business. Unfortunately, there were some confusing articles in the German press towards the end of last year about the future of SAP Business ByDesign. Therefore, more clarity is needed in the support function to address this. SAP Business ByDesign has been discontinued and no further updates will be made to it. It appears that the focus is now on the BTP platform, and I'm exploring ways to add more integrations to it. If this trend continues, the user community of SAP Business ByDesign could potentially benefit from increased connectivity with external parties, which would lead to greater satisfaction.
