The visibility feature proved effective in identifying devices with backdoors. Through threat hunter analysis, we discovered that certain applications had backdoor systems sending numerous logs externally. SonicWall Capture Client detected these issues through its visibility and threat hunter analysis features.

Real-time protection operates continuously and effectively. The protection is enhanced because it operates 24 hours per day without requiring signature updates. The machine learning capability on the endpoint eliminates concerns about manual updates, making it more protective and easier to deploy.

The rollback feature is available exclusively for Windows systems. While Linux and Mac OS cannot utilize rollback, our users and partners primarily use Windows or Linux for servers. We inform clients that Windows is required for rollback functionality.

Machine learning is particularly effective due to SonicWall sandboxing's threat intelligence database of approximately 7.1 billion entries. The machine learning and advanced threat protection can perform memory inspection. When advising customers about endpoint protection, we emphasize the importance of threat intelligence and machine learning capabilities. These features provide enhanced power and usability at competitive market prices ranging from 10 to 25 dollars.

Occasionally, the Sentinel engine becomes unresponsive, particularly when customers do not properly restart or shutdown their systems. This requires a hard restart after installation to resolve the issue.

Installation on Mac OS can be challenging, requiring multiple attempts due to version compatibility requirements. We must ensure the SonicWall Capture Client version is stable for Mac OS.

The RAM usage is higher compared to SentinelOne, utilizing approximately 150 megabytes of memory. This is a common concern from customers, and reducing RAM consumption would be beneficial.

SonicWall Capture Client offers a special SKU in Indonesia, allowing sales without quantity limitations. Partners can purchase single endpoints at prices equivalent to 1,000-endpoint deals, providing an advantage for managed security service provider partners. This differs from competitors who often require minimum quantities of 20 or 50 endpoints to achieve better pricing.

Our team provides six years of technical support experience. On a scale of 1-10, this solution rates 7.5.

I am a distributor, but I can be counted as a reseller. It does not differ anyway. Most of my clients are SMBs, and I inform them that they should protect their servers with this kind of product, not legacy antiviruses. They are using their servers to protect.

Considering other products, SonicWall Capture Client has two differentiators. One is that users can use the sandbox of SonicWall, which is called Capture ATP for free. Users can also make web filtering on the client without needs for firewall. These are the key differentiators.

It is not similar to other products. For XDR, users have to use another product. XDR cannot be used unless MDR services are purchased with SonicWall. If a user has SonicWall MDR services, then they can have XDR as part of the package.

I have used it for one year.

The experience has been great. Installation from the cloud console was easy. I encountered a few problems during installation, but those were handled by the support team.

It does what it is supposed to do. Everything is functioning properly. The EDR and EPP products are using the Mitra Tech framework under the machine learning capabilities, and it is performing adequately.

Users just install agents to endpoints without installing any server or management server to add to infrastructure. SonicWall Capture Client is accessed via cloud-based management console.

I have experience with SonicWall Capture Client and SentinelOne, but not with Cyber Reason. It is a hybrid solution. It is a good product. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate SonicWall Capture Client a nine out of ten.

I use SonicWall Capture Client primarily for content filtering, asset management, reporting, and EDR/EPP purposes. It is used in scenarios involving web content filtering on endpoints and asset management, and it successfully intervenes in cyber attack scenarios.

SonicWall Capture Client has remarkable performance and effective content filtering without requiring a firewall. Its multi-engine sandboxing solution, known as Capture ATP, is innovative and offers significant advantages. It can manage assets, provide reporting, and handle device control, like USB and Bluetooth blocking. The solution is effective for both EDR and EPP tasks and excels in mitigating security threats based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

SonicWall Capture Client could benefit from an improved graphical user interface with more modern and minimal icons. Additionally, one of the drawbacks is that I cannot use Advanced and Premier licenses within a single tenant, which can be problematic when users need to deploy different licenses.

I have been using SonicWall Capture Client since June 2024.

There are no restrictions on the scalability of SonicWall Capture Client. Licensing is flexible as I can purchase a single license if needed, which is beneficial compared to other products requiring a minimum purchase.

Technical support from SonicWall has room for improvement. While their escalation process is understandable, it can be time-consuming as all logs need to be provided multiple times across different service levels. This process can be exhausting.

I previously worked with CrowdStrike but switched to focus mainly on SonicWall Capture Client.

The initial setup of SonicWall Capture Client is quite easy, and I managed to install it for a customer with 500 clients and 20 servers in roughly 30 to 40 minutes.

I handled the implementation myself. If the network environment is adequately set up, it can be managed by one person.

SonicWall Capture Client offers a cost-effective solution that's cheaper compared to other vendors like CrowdStrike.

CrowdStrike was discussed as another option.

I would advise others to be prepared for the initial learning curve when switching from another product. There is potential for improvement in the UI to make it more modern. Overall, I rate the product eight out of ten.

SonicWall Capture Client has blocked malicious websites and threats, alerted us to attacks from emails and insecure websites, and provided integral protection for our company's PCs.

The product is very expensive. Sophos has more flexible pricing.

SonicWall’s upgrades are easier than Sophos’. SonicWall is more expensive than Sophos. SonicWall’s profiles are different from those of Sophos. It is easier for customers to check SonicWall’s profiles to understand what is happening in their network. SonicWall’s dashboard reports are easier to read. We can send the documents in different formats.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

SonicWall Capture Client's scalability is nice.

The biggest issue with SonicWall Capture Client is network latency. We have a 150-millisecond delay from the SonicWall Capture Client center. SonicWall should put some servers in South America so that we can be closer to the network on the internet.

The solution's pricing should be improved, and the solution should be made more feasible.

I rate SonicWall Capture Client a seven out of ten for stability.

SonicWall Capture Client's initial setup is straightforward.

We have only two customers for SonicWall Capture Client. You have to pay for the solution, and a lot of customers do not want to pay.

SonicWall Capture Client should do better marketing because customers do not see its benefits. The customers should be educated on what will happen if they don't add the solution to their network.

The price is good for some products but not for certain access edge infrastructures such as switches and access points or Wi-Fi points. SonicWall Capture Client is better than Fortinet in terms of their capability, hardware quality, and hardware capacity. SonicWall Capture Client has a very limited range and is very expensive for small and medium-sized businesses.

SonicWall Capture Client has a yearly license. In addition to the licensing cost, customers have to pay for the partner services.

We are using the latest version of SonicWall Capture Client.

Fortinet is ahead of SonicWall. The range of appliances, equipment, availability in my country with the distributors, and the overall ecosystem of Fortinet is way better than SonicWall.

My advice to others looking into using SonicWall Capture Client is to keep giving feedback to the companies regarding whatever improvements should be made.

My use case for SonicWall Capture Client is implementing it for a company with around fifty thousand users on every endpoint device and server.

Overall, what I love the most about SonicWall Capture Client is its management console. SonicWall Capture Client also has the intelligence to tell you which computer is online, what OS it uses, etc.

I also found the rollback feature and SentinelOne integration valuable in SonicWall Capture Client. Rollback is a powerful feature of the solution because it's similar to locking your endpoint during an attack, so you won't have to pay the hackers, particularly during ransomware attacks. That feature in SonicWall Capture Client allows you to get back your endpoint or make your endpoint right again after an attack.

I also like that it isn't complex to remove the engine error from the endpoint because you only have to provide the security key from SonicWall Capture Client, so the process is simple. It's not complex.

An area for improvement in SonicWall Capture Client is TenantCloud support. Suppose you want to implement SonicWall Capture Client. You'll have to register it on MySonicWall. Then once your SonicWall Capture Client license expires and you don't want to renew it, you can't delete it from your MySonicWall account, so that's an area for improvement.

I'm an expert on endpoint security products such as Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, etc. SonicWall Capture Client is the best endpoint security product I've ever used, so I have no suggestion for additional features for SonicWall Capture Client.

It's not been long since my company started working with SonicWall Capture Client as a distributor of SonicWall. My company uses the trial version for one month or thirty days to provide endpoint security to customers. It's a POC. The last time I used SonicWall Capture Client was three months ago.

SonicWall Capture Client is a stable product. It's also a reliable product.

My rating for the technical support and knowledge base for SonicWall Capture Client is five out of five because even when I called at midnight, the team helped me and provided me with solutions.

I've used a local antivirus called SmadAV before using SonicWall Capture Client, and SmadAV was a terrible product for me. It's a local antivirus solution here in Indonesia.

I'm handling Fortinet and Palo Alto for endpoint security in my current company, but I'm still learning about those two solutions. Of the three solutions, SonicWall Capture Client, Palo Alto, and Fortinet, I love SonicWall Capture Client most because it has a beautiful, modern UI. My experience with SonicWall Capture Client is three years, so I find it user-friendly. Features-wise, on the other hand, Fortinet would win over SonicWall Capture Client because Fortinet has a lot more features than SonicWall Capture Client, and Fortinet also has more products than SonicWall.

Setting up SonicWall Capture Client isn't very complex as it's user-friendly, similar to almost all SonicWall products. The initial setup for SonicWall Capture Client isn't as complicated as other solutions.

MySonicWall also contains a good knowledge base, so it's easy to set up

SonicWall Capture Client.

I'd rate the setup a four on a scale of one to five.

How long the deployment of SonicWall Capture Client takes depends on how many devices you want to implement it on. In my case, I only profiled the links and downloaded and installed the agent on my laptop. Then I checked the management console to ensure that my data matched the registered device information on SonicWall Capture Client, and that's it.

Here in Indonesia, SonicWall Capture Client costs five hundred thousand rupiahs for every endpoint. If I'm correct, you only have to pay the licensing fee, and there's no additional fee.

To me, the pricing for SonicWall Capture Client is four out of five.

The solution's valuable feature is having a broader scope of OS. Where other solutions work only with specific systems, Capture Client works with old systems as well. For example, it works swiftly with Windows 7, and many financial institutes still use that OS on ATMs. Thus, it becomes easier to deploy and sell.

The solution's management console looks a little bit old. They should improve their user interface.

The solution works fine in terms of scalability in Latin America. For example, if a user buys fifty licenses for 100 users, they observe the utility and grow up on that number. So, scalability is never an issue; we can add users easily.
