Business processes are automated efficiently with a well-designed interface
There is room for improvement in integrations and customizations for AgilePoint and other low-code, no-code solutions. Additionally, the marketing of such products should be more honest. They often claim to solve all process automation needs, but they only handle problems of certain complexity. AgilePoint cannot handle highly complex processes like ERPs.

Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"AgilePoint has improved our organization by making form implementation easier and to plan for future growth."
"Anytime companies need any solution with workflow, they can base it on AgilePoint, because AgilePoint allows companies to design and implement workflows very fast using the system's interface."
"AgilePoint's most valuable feature is process management."
"The solution's workflows are its most useful feature."
"The initial setup of AgilePoint was very easy."
"AgilePoint's automation is excellent in managing different user roles and handling data associated with a particular instance of the workflow."
"I like the design and the integration capacity, and it's also easy to use."
"The Control Room is the most important feature, where we can manage the bots and publish to various bot runners in the environment."
"At the most granular level, automating people's daily tasks has been helpful by freeing them up to do higher value-add activities, which is definitely beneficial."
"Workflow automation has helped a lot with cost reduction, greater accuracy, and delivery speed."
"The technical support is fine. As soon as we raise an issue, we can get the technical support that we need. They provide the solutions to our issues."
"During the digital transformation of a company, the number of internal portals and applications increases leading to an increased number of data silos."
"IQ Bot is very helpful as it is easy to learn and implement and the data output accuracy is almost 90%."
"It lets users add value with their time other than focusing on downloading Excel files, consolidating, and drawing up formulas. Since everything is structured, these easily are incorporated into the bot's work."
"Error handling plays an important role when you schedule a bot because if you are not physically present and something happens, you need to know what has gone wrong."

Cons

"They should add more information about functionality."
"Technical support is very slow to respond and they need to be quicker in getting back to clients when problems arise."
"Integrations and customizations should be improved in AgilePoint and other low-code solutions."
"The solution should be able to support Docker. This would help make scalability easier."
"It could be more flexible, but it's already a good solution for the designer."
"While the platform is good and it has a lot of options, I would like to see more alternative features in future versions such as connectors to IDM. Currently, they have only ADFS and Okta."
"Some issues with AgilePoint's design, AI and UX are some of the major problems we deal with when handling our company's business models or processes."
"I would like OCR for video and text using the IQ Bot. It should also be available in an email tag format."
"Automation Anywhere lacks a desktop version and is solely web-based and cloud-based. Automation Anywhere is not so easy for business users who are not technical."
"There should be more available Data Analytics and more AI Front and Deep Learn concepts."
"In Automation Anywhere, the logging process is manual."
"Instead of depending on other open-source BPM products, AA should provide their own BPM for attended automations."
"We would like to be able to directly implement automation for Word documents and XML."
"IQ Bot is useful but the price is not friendly."
"The bot creation process is straightforward in some ways and complicated in others. You can get your initial stuff laid out really quick, but then putting in your exception handling is more time consuming."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Price-wise, AgilePoint is a cheap tool and a standard application for running analytics in an IT environment."
"I think the price is reasonable."
"I believe the pricing has changed recently. We had purchased one license per server, and it was about $2,000. It was a one-time payment. It's possible that they have recently implemented a new cost structure and now have yearly subscriptions."
"It is more cost-effective than local tools."
"I am using that Automation Anywhere Master Certification for version 11. Recently, this has been updated in Automation Anywhere University. Until this month, it's free to use. There are no charges. That's why I would like to complete it this month."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive, making it suitable only for enterprise organizations."
"It is not cheap, with costs ranging between 700 to 800 dollars per month. While Power Automate is cheaper at 15 dollars per month, Automation Anywhere offers superior features, user-friendliness, and smoothness."
"On average, a bot runner in Automation Anywhere can cost $5,000, while in Microsoft Power Automate, you can get most of the same functionality for $100."
"It's fine. However, I'm concerned with the credits in terms of the pricing for the AI models. It is understandable that the new ones are more expensive, but the base models, after doing the pricing conversion, cost about four to ten times as much as paying directly."
"The solution itself is free unless we want to add the support option but we have to pay for the bots we use."
"The pricing and licensing are definitely moderate to costly but easily recoverable by achieving ROI quickly."
"Pricing is affordable and I would recommend beginning with the Starter Package."
