Easy to use with a high degree of security and excellent flexibility
Any kind of software has its issues and any kind of software can improve. Agiloft does not have a good user interface. It can surely improve. Usually, the users don't like its interface. However, once they understand the potential of this platform, they love it. As it is a very sophisticated solution, it's not the easiest one to use. There are other platforms that are much easier to use even though Agiloft presents itself as a low-code platform where you don't need to program. To configure a solution, for example, to create a BPM, is not that simple. They also are implementing some features based on artificial intelligence that seems to be very, very powerful, however, the price of using artificial intelligence in the systems for our reality and I'm talking about the Brazilian market - is very expensive. In practical terms, it doesn't seem to me that it is feasible to use due to the price. I don't have any information about any organization that it's using Agiloft in Brazil with artificial intelligence features. Another important feature for us that sometimes is an issue is that usually when you build your workflow you need access to a lot of documents, and these documents come in several formats. Sometimes you have Microsoft Office documents and sometimes you have PDFs. You have also many drawn files. Sometimes when you need to see the content of any file, it's very easy. You just click and it opens. However, when it comes to special kinds of files, you may have some problems integrating software that allows you to visualize what's inside the file.

The area of improvement with OpenText 360 for SharePoint is that sometimes there are unexpected service outages. Though these situations are rare, I want to highlight that in case of any outage in the services, because everything is located in SharePoint, there is a chance that reports start failing or dashboards fail, or the system behaves differently. In future updates, I would want to see widgets available in OpenText 360 for SharePoint to interact with third-party tools. For example, when creating a dashboard, having the ability to embed these directly into SharePoint would be beneficial. Currently, I have to use hyperlinks to access other tools such as Tableau or ClickView. If it were possible to merge everything and bring all information from multiple teams (Cognos, ClickView, AWS) into SharePoint as a centralized place, it would be really helpful. That is what I envision for the integrator part.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's very safe. It has a high degree of security, much better than many other solutions I have researched."
"OpenText 360's best features are platform independence and its performance when searching large numbers of documents."
"This solution has good connection and we do not need to migrate everything in order to protect the repository."
"The collaborative environment for long-term archival or record management is great."
"We concentrate on the legal industry, such as legal libraries. It's the most structured solution we have used and implemented for five years."
"The fact that you can see and create something that fits your business is the most valuable thing in this platform. It is a customizable product, so it fits your needs."
"It's all now on cloud subscription, so you can use all the features without worrying about making the system updates patches."
"OpenText 360 for SharePoint significantly saves time for users by streamlining the tasks of handling, searching, and maintaining documents compared to traditional file servers."
"Overall, I would rate OpenText 360 for SharePoint as ten."

Cons

"Agiloft does not have a good user interface."
"OpenText 360 is generally stable, though there are sometimes issues with document size or format."
"Sometimes there are unexpected service outages. Though these situations are rare, I want to highlight that in case of any outage in the services, because everything is located in SharePoint, there is a chance that reports start failing or dashboards fail, or the system behaves differently."
"Its licensing needs to be simplified. Currently, its licensing is very complex. It contains a number of pieces, and you have to be an expert in reading all the conditions in the license. They should simplify the licensing and make it easier to understand. It would make a customer's life easier."
"If I have to really create an internal knowledge management portal, if I have to compare SharePoint and WordPress, WordPress is far, far better in regard to the SharePoint option."
"An area for improvement would be how the platform handles large volumes of documents. It also doesn't provide a very good, robust backup and restore capacity. In the next release, I would like the search technology to be improved."
"We have a very good time to market tool, and the development platform should be made user-friendly. Mostly, it's just support."
"The user interface could definitely be improved."
"For SharePoint, the user-friendliness needs to be improved. It is not as simple to use as GitHub, which has a very straightforward interface."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is reasonable, but its licensing is very complex. This platform contains a number of pieces, and you have to be an expert in reading all the conditions in the license. They should simplify its licensing."
"OpenText 360's price varies depending on how long you've been a customer, how many licenses you have, and which products you use."
