Have successfully routed high-volume application traffic through secure channels and maintain compliance across client environments
CDN capability is what I appreciate about Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise. It protects applications that are internet-facing or public-facing. Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise is a product which has very good features and capabilities. I have worked on Radware also, but Radware has some limited capabilities. Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise has positively impacted my organization. We have around 62 applications within our firm which are now routing traffic through Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise. It has fewer false positives, which is something we haven't encountered yet. I assess the impact of Akamai's real-time threat filtering as 10 out of 10, and I am satisfied with this feature.

Replaces internal DNS servers effectively with strong support for network security
For users not already working with Infoblox, it is advisable to present it as a centralized integrated solution to handle DNS IPAM. Not all customers understand DNS security threats, so emphasizing its importance is crucial. On a scale of one to ten, I rate Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection as ten for the overall solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise is a product which has very good features and capabilities."
"The best feature of Akamai SPS Threat Avert is that it's very user-friendly compared to other technologies."
"The threat intelligence feature is particularly valuable when used with another product of Akamai, as their researchers continuously update this threat feed database, making it an effective tool for defending against and blocking bad actors, public malicious IPs, harmful hashes, and malicious URLs."
"It enhances DNS security and integrates with the IPAM system. It provides robust IP management and DNS security. One of its key features is the automatic response to malicious or incorrect domains."
"The solution's user interface is very smooth compared to other products."
"Centralized management of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM helped us a lot in simplifying and automating the management of network and services."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is considered a mandatory DNS solution in the banking sector in Egypt as it has a significant impact on the industry."
"It is a stable solution."
"Infoblox Secure DNS helped us protect our internal environment by mitigating and stopping attacks through the Internet using DNS protocols and queries."
"DHCP is a basic service, and they've been doing it for years, so it's mature and stable."
"Grid high availability technology ensured network reliability, resilient network services, failover, recovery, and seamless maintenance."

Cons

"Akamai SPS Threat Avert's pricing could be improved because it's a very expensive enterprise solution."
"From a financial standpoint, I do not believe Akamai Secure Internet Access Enterprise is cost-effective when compared to other solutions available in the industry."
"Their support response time needs improvement. They take on average one week to respond, which is not satisfactory given how critical applications are to the organization."
"The price could be reduced to improve the solution."
"The overall pricing of Infoblox is high, particularly for the Bangladesh market, and the licensing model is challenging."
"Infoblox lacks an extensive product portfolio."
"There is room for improvement in some parts since it could be better in enhancing DNS Security."
"The solution is expensive."
"They are not supporting high query logging. They have a very limited size for the syslog, so they are usually asking for external storage, external network, and integration in order to keep the syslog. If you are considering the high volume traffic of the carrier-grade, then the syslog will hold for around five to 10 minutes. This is not enough time and it is being rotated. This is the main issue and the main limitation that we face with them that they need to work on."
"I think only the technical documentation and administration of box could be a little bit improved."
"They should release frequent updates for its on-premises version."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Provided the features Akamai SPS Threat Avert provides, it is bound to be expensive."
"Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection is a little more expensive than other vendors."
"The price of Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection could be reduced, it is expensive."
"The solution is expensive."
"There are no additional costs to the standard licensing price of the solution."
"I am not sure about the price of the solution, but I heard it is expensive."
