Efficient Setup and Strong Performance Highlight Versatile Capabilities
In terms of areas for improvement in Aruba Remote Access Points, when planning for the customer's end, you need to highlight the precautions against EMF emissions and environmental emissions, as well as power management limitations. If the user is in one direction and you're transmitting everywhere, that's not good power management. Currently, all access points provide the same power requirement to the client, but we should explore what extra mile we can go. We are facing energy crises and climate issues, along with GHG and SDGs protocols. If we highlight the alignment with these protocols, it can enhance the product quality as an environmentally friendly option. Apart from that, service-wise, every unit is the same. Users can only distinguish those requirements using spectrum analyzers; otherwise, minor data delays of one or two seconds do not matter, but for high-security or high-speed needs, it becomes significant.

Secure data transfers and reliable remote connectivity have strengthened infrastructure
Check Point Remote Access VPN helps me secure and protect my data. If a remote user's device has a vulnerability, the VPN helps. It is very reliable and cost-effective. It keeps my data protected so no one can breach it. There is no interception between the two channels, from the user to the data center, when the VPN tunnel is established with Check Point. Check Point also has a high rate of threat prevention, so I really trust it in this case. I have noticed that my data is now more secure and reliable when accessed from a remote location. This is an issue that it has resolved for my data center.

"The policies are easy to use."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has positively impacted my organization by improving productivity and given us a workaround in times of downtime."
"The best feature of Check Point Remote Access VPN is that the remote access VPN supports MFA plus traditional credentials, certificates, and integrates with directory services."
"Overall, I rate Check Point Remote Access VPN a nine."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN has made my job easier because I don't need to worry about reaching the organization office and connecting to servers, as I am now free to work from anywhere and able to access the server securely and seamlessly."
"The most valuable point is that it provides multi-factor authentication (MFA), which increases security by requiring an add-on verification method and ensures that only authorized users have access to the network."

Cons

"I would rate stability as five out of ten. Sometimes it is stable, and sometimes it is not."
"It would help if the remote APs had some kind of SoHo environment with built-in firewall features. That way it could connect directly in a client-to-site type of environment, or a site-to-site VPN environment. That way users could have a complete office setup without coming to the private cloud."
"The security side of Aruba Remote Access Points could be improved."
"Our difficulty with Aruba is that the product and the license are two different items. So, if we are adding an access point, we have to pay for two items. We have to pay to add the access point in the controller and we have to pay for the license."
"There are some issues, like the VLAN capabilities and support for routing between two VMs."
"They can add more graphical reporting systems so that network admins and system admins get more information about user usage, such as which user, what they use, and when they use it."
"In terms of areas for improvement in Aruba Remote Access Points, when planning for the customer's end, you need to highlight the precautions against EMF emissions and environmental emissions, as well as power management limitations."
"The product is not user-friendly."
"I would like the support to be faster."
"In the case of URL translation of the VPN Web portal, the requests made from the front end to the back end weren't valid (due to the use of dynamic subdomains). In the case of host translations, the request was made to the same host, however, we cannot specify the ports, which, in our case, are used to redirect to different servers."
"Check Point should provide a feature in the management server. When we create a VPN, it should allow for posture checking of the laptop for compliance."
"They need to increase their timeout. Right now, it will fail after ten seconds, however, it shouldn't fail until after 20 seconds."
"The maximum it is giving us is only 5 licenses and if you need more, they must be purchased separately."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN's current configuration has some limitations and issues. One major drawback is the inability to configure multiple gateways from the same management server for VPN access."
"The ability to allow split-tunneling while still following our corporate policy needs to be on the table."
"The provisioning of VPN users has room for improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price of Aruba Remote Access Points could be better. It is a little expensive."

"Aruba pricing is not very high. They offer competitive pricing for what they provide."
"Aruba Remote Access Points' pricing is good and affordable."

"Organizations that already have the Check Point NGFW need to purchase an additional license to have access to the VPN functionality."
"There is a license required for this solution."
"Regarding pricing, as a global customer, we get a big discount. For us, it's a good return on investment. We need to pay for additional features we want to enable. It seems cheaper than other vendors, but I can't say what it would cost an average customer."
"Check Point Remote Access VPN is not expensive and the cost is annual."
"I can say that the licensing costs are charged annually."
