Unified risk scoring has improved our cloud visibility and simplifies remediation priorities
Qualys TotalCloud provides unified vulnerability and threat assessment across both IAS and SaaS. This solution provides a single prioritized view of risk, which helps reduce the work I would have to do. We are no longer based on CVSS; we are based on Qualys risk scoring, which is based on CVSS plus internal findings made by Qualys, and then assigns its own score. The TruRisk insight feature has found a small number of assets with high vulnerability scores, though I am cautious since some information is classified. Qualys TotalCloud has positively impacted our bank's performance, and we have definitely seen benefits after implementing this solution.

Has helped identify misconfigurations and prioritize risks but lacks multi-cloud support and deeper integration features
AWS Security Hub cannot scale up to multiple different cloud environments; it only works for AWS. There are other products in the market for CSPM that can give you multi-cloud environment misconfigurations, even Microsoft for that matter. Regarding the integration of AWS Security Hub with third-party tools, I am not certain whether we can integrate them, but there is no need to do so. However, AWS Security Hub cannot integrate with other cloud providers, so it only supports the AWS environment. The compliance checks within AWS Security Hub are good, but we don't use them much. We utilize compliance frameworks such as CIS compliance frameworks and ISO 27017 framework, which are beneficial, but it can improve in other areas too, such as including NIST and other frameworks beyond just ISO and CIS. Improvements can be applicable for scalability, particularly on integration with multi-cloud environments, and compliance frameworks can be added for more variety as well. The unified dashboard in AWS Security Hub is adequate; I cannot say it is exceptional, but the content available in the dashboards is satisfactory for now.

Centralized monitoring has strengthened cloud posture and prioritizes critical security risks
The best features Sophos Cloud Optix offers are cloud security posture management, CSPM, continuous monitoring for misconfiguration, compliance reporting, and centralized visibility across multi-cloud environments. I also find the risk prioritization helpful, as it helps me focus on the most critical security issues first, and the intuitive dashboards make it easy to understand the overall security posture. Additionally, the alerting and reporting capabilities help my team respond to issues quickly and maintain compliance with organizational security standards. Sophos Cloud Optix has positively impacted my organization by improving my visibility into cloud security and helping me identify misconfigurations before they became security incidents. It has reduced the time required to detect and investigate potential risks by providing prioritized alerts and centralized dashboards. As a result, my team responds to security issues more effectively and spends less time on manual reviews. It has also supported my compliance efforts by providing clear reporting and continuous monitoring, which has strengthened my overall cloud security posture.

"The advantage is that it is cloud-native, and we do not need to install agents or sensors to find findings."
"AWS Security Hub provides comprehensive alerts about potential compliance issues with CIS standards. The integration with third-party tools is another excellent feature. All our workloads are on AWS."
"The best feature of AWS Security Hub is that you can get compliance or your cloud's current security posture."
"One of the most effective features of AWS Security Hub is the easy access to a dashboard with a ready-to-use security score."
"I like that AWS Security Hub currently has several good features, around four or five. The technical support for AWS Security Hub is also responsive."
"The solution is very good at detection and providing real-time alerts."
"The most beneficial aspect of Security Hub is its proactive capability, allowing us to identify potential security issues before they escalate."
"The most valuable feature of AWS Security Hub is the ability to track when monitoring is not enabled on any of my resources."

"DLP is a valuable feature that we use a lot for info audits."
"The most valuable feature of Sophos Cloud Optix is the simple way to manage my devices on the network. Additionally, it is easy to navigate and has a user-friendly interface."
"The most valuable feature for me would be the solution's endpoint protection."
"I find Cloud Optix to be a valuable solution since it provides a single, unified dashboard to monitor cloud assets, such as AWS and Azure."

Cons

"Qualys TotalCloud needs to enhance its scanning capabilities in the IP domain, as it currently lacks the functionality to resolve IPs to their corresponding domain names."
"Areas that need improvement in every solution include the remediation part. The remediation steps should be simple enough for everyone to understand."
"Some major banks and insurance companies require an on-premises solution for comprehensive vulnerability management, which TotalCloud does not offer."
"I sometimes have difficulty detecting or uninstalling certain versions of applications, which I have to do manually."
"Enhancing clarity regarding its compliance capabilities would be beneficial, as the current scope is limited in geographic coverage."
"There should be improvement from a dashboard perspective when collecting and showcasing data to lead management."
"The main area needing improvement is integration. Although the team is strengthening TotalCloud, integration can be enhanced with SIEM, SOAR, ITSM, and other sources."
"We encountered challenges identifying the correct resource category for certain items, such as those in containers or storage."
"Although AWS Security Hub does a periodic scan of your overall infrastructure, it doesn't do it in real time."
"It is not flexible for multi-cloud environments."
"AWS Security Hub's configuration and integration are areas where it lacks and needs to improve."
"The user interface, graphs, and dashboards of the solution could improve in the future. They are not very sophisticated and could use an update."
"Feature-wise, we are not able to do multi-cloud. We are doing individual cloud monitoring, and we see other tools are better than AWS Security Hub."
"It's not user-friendly. Too much going on, too many unnecessary findings, not very visual. You can't do much compared to other similar tools that are cheaper and better."
"Security needs to be measured based on their own criteria. We can't add custom criteria specific to our organization. For example, having an S3 bucket publicly available might be flagged as a critical alert, but it might not be critical in a sandbox environment. So, it gets flagged as critical, which becomes a false positive. So, customization options and creating custom dashboards would be areas for improvement."
"From an improvement perspective, there is a need to add more compliance since, right now, AWS Security Hub only provides four to five compliances to control the tool."
"There are times when the devices are at maximum capacity, and it takes a while before the device is updated. For example, if the device has a virus, and it's not aligned to connect to the network, even after you've scanned the device, and cleaned out the virus, once the management clears the system to allow it back on the network it takes some time. It can be frustrating when you have your line manager or in management affected trying to access the network."
"Automated fixes are helpful, but sometimes we would prefer more control over how they are applied."
"While I find Sophos Cloud Optix strong, it could improve by reducing alert noise, as I sometimes get too many notifications without enough prioritization, and more customizable compliance reports would help tailor outputs to specific frameworks, and deeper integration with niche cloud services beyond AWS, Azure, and GCP would also add value."
"I find that Sophos Cloud Optix is stable and most of the time reliable, although there is a maintenance window almost every week, with one day dedicated to maintenance. This is somewhat inconvenient as sometimes the platform might misbehave during that time when managing threats and other activities."
"The dashboard and the process for applying policies could be more intuitive."
"I have not connected with Sophos Cloud Optix customer support yet, but I had a bad experience when our AWS cloud got compromised, leading to many resources being provisioned, and while Sophos Cloud Optix identified those resources, the resulting bill from AWS was quite high due to the usage charges, which I tried to investigate with the Sophos team, though I am not sure if they assisted with the refund."
"Overall, Sophos Cloud Optix is a strong cloud security platform, but there are a few areas where it could improve."
"The setup was a little bit complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price seems higher compared to other tools, but it is worth it. If they could adjust the pricing and make it comparable with other tools, that would be great."
"It isn't cheap, but it's reasonable. It helps us to manage things with very few resources."
"The pricing is comparable. It is built into our other product, so I cannot piecemeal it. It is a part of our subscription."
"Qualys TotalCloud is cost-efficient and was selected for its value compared to other products."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers competitive pricing given its comprehensive suite of features, including integration, assessment, remediation, and detection capabilities, all within a single platform."
"While Qualys TotalCloud's pricing is currently acceptable, it is becoming increasingly expensive and may soon be considered overpriced."
"The pricing for TotalCloud is attractive and competitive in the market. Given the features, especially the dashboard, I have no concerns regarding pricing."
"Qualys TotalCloud is expensive, but it offers a premier solution with no headaches."
"AWS Security Hub is not an expensive tool. I would consider it to be a cheap solution. AWS Security Hub follows the PAYG pricing model, meaning you will have to pay for whatever you use."
"The price of the solution is not very competitive but it is reasonable."
"Security Hub is not an expensive solution."
"AWS Security Hub's pricing is pretty reasonable."
"The pricing is fine. It is not an expensive tool."

"The price of AWS Security Hub is average compared to other solutions."
"Regarding the pricing for Sophos Cloud Optix, I would say that it was a very good price."
