Single sign-on has saved engineering hours but still needs broader security features
I would rate BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO overall a seven out of ten. I chose seven out of ten because it does the job and that is sufficient. If you need more, then it cannot provide that, but it can be improved. Regarding BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO's AI capabilities, I think it does not have any AI and governance security features. The advice I would give to others looking into using BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO is that if you need something basic that does the job and you do not need advanced features, and all you need is single sign-on, then it is for you. My overall review rating for BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO is seven out of ten.

Improved user experience with seamless integration and easy installation
The feature that I mostly valued is the ease of installation on different systems, especially on Windows. Additionally, it is very beneficial for deploying single sign-on sessions between different windows on a web browser, provided I am connected to the right identity provider. That seamless integration significantly improves user experience and efficiency.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO has impacted my organization positively as it saves a significant amount of engineering hours and effort while securing environments and applications entirely."
"It's more efficient; we're providing immense security to the applications, to Chase, and we're securing 70 million customers in Chase."
"Siteminder allows us to manage identity and portability control efficiently."
"It provides the breadth and the width to provide solutions for the different kinds of technologies which we have."
"SSO affords us the opportunity to have a federated connection between our members, groups, and companies, giving providers the ability to transpose across the different Delta Dentals without having to authenticate more than once with one identity for all sites."
"This solution is meeting our requirements for all of our applications."
"Segregation duties is another great benefit. It has allowed us to automate the process of creating user accounts really well."
"The most valuable feature for us is the configuration feature; it permits us to connect our company to the offices of our subsidiaries, so when we buy a company we can connect their IT infrastructure to ours."
"You can quickly deploy the entire product with a basic config within couple of hours."

Cons

"BoxyHQ Enterprise SSO can be improved as competitors have more to offer."
"While I have some integration with a few major providers, support for more would be advantageous."
"I think they need to integrate some of the newer types of authentication into the product. I'm not seeing the innovation when it comes to biometrics in the product."
"Upgrade planning is extensive and costly and involves a lot of applications, so we’d like to see that improved."
"They need to make configurations easier, and not have the engineer having to guess what will happen when he changes a particular setting."
"The problem is we need the support, but they don't know anything about the product."
"The performance could be better. The support could be faster."
"One of the features that needs improvement is the capability of implementing single sign-on in cloud."
"The initial setup was complex, painful. But that is to be expected of any new setup. When you're a big bank like us, any kind of migration to a new product is hard. I expect it to be painful, and it was painful. But it's not something that you can avoid."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I recommend conducting a PoC on every available product before choose one."
"Symantec Siteminder is expensive; they could definitely do better on the price."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The solution's pricing is competitive."
"CA solutions are generally expensive but for the customer the ROI is big."
"Siteminder is a little costly. You pay for licensing, and they offer packages, so if you have less users, then you have to buy different products at different prices. If you have more of a user base, then the package is different. They also include other features—for example, if you have a database and you're using Siteminder, then it's good to use a Semantic-specific database, but if you are using less, then you have to purchase the database separately. Whereas if you are going for a bigger license, then it comes within the package. It depends on which plan you are using."
"The price is quite comparable to the other enterprise-level solutions in that market."
"The licensing is fair for this solution."
