Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Having everything in one location has significantly improved our efficiency and reporting
We need to be on VPN in order to set up and access the solution, and that has created some challenges. Even though it uses our Windows login, we still have to be on VPN. The product should be able to log tickets directly from system to system. We haven't got there yet and I'm not sure it's possible but it would determine the product's capability to integrate with other systems.

Omni-channel routing has transformed case handling and now supports complex field operations
From my experience, we might need queue-based alignment in Omni-Channel routing. Assignment rules should be defined at the flow level. The challenge with SLA creation is evident in escalation rules, which should include a field flagging feature that is lacking in the current setup. Einstein Bot, linked with Omni-Channel messaging, is complex to define, with a need for all related information in one place, making the process cumbersome. Understanding which bot is associated with specific messaging apps requires manual searching, and this can be improved.

Pros

"Training videos are very good and include detailed examples, which is really helpful for beginners."

"Implementation of Automation Anywhere (AA) allows us to automate business processes and has brought productivity gains, error reduction, and speed of execution in multiple HR and Finance operations."
"The best feature is the drag-and-drop command. Users with less coding knowledge can also automate their end-to-end processes very easily."
"There is a very accelerated learning curve on the platform."
"The deployment is very easy."
"Because of the presence of Automation, it helped my company deal with banks in this field and to know many important processes in banks and private companies."
"It helped agents process tickets with minimal errors and improved average handling time as they are able to close the tickets faster."
"All our activities are carried out in the one place."
"Clear processes with transparent responsibilities led to more efficiencies within the teams."
"The most valuable features are problem management and change management."
"Its integration features, orchestration features, and discovery tools are the most valuable. It is also pretty stable, and it can be as scalable as you want."
"The dashboard and the reporting functionality are the solution's most valuable features."
"Implementing CSM has made us very efficient and we're now able to plan changes and the steps required for implementation."
"The best feature is the ability to create functional dashboards, where the IT manager can interact with its data through the dashboard using the drill down feature."
"The dashboard is very useful to get a quick overview of current tasks."
"The flexibility of the platform is what really separates it from the crowd."
"The main benefit of Salesforce Service Cloud is that everything is in the cloud. We can track the entire customer journey from lead to account or opportunity. The CRM is in the cloud, while the financial transactions are in NetSuite. By integrating these applications, we get a complete view of the business. Some integrations are event-driven, while others are batch integrations that run at scheduled times. We also build reports using our in-house analytics tool to help leadership make decisions."
"The most valuable feature of Salesforce Service Cloud is its ease of use."
"Clients gain productivity and save time with Salesforce Service Cloud."
"Head count in service management was reduced, department moved into a profitable position, and we increased service business by 30%."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is the traceability of actions."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward."
"We use Salesforce Service Cloud for lead management and opportunity management."

Cons

"I have been using IQ Bot, and its accuracy can be improved. It could be more accurate."
"OCR capability needs to become better."
"I would like more integration into the entire Microsoft Suite of products, not just Excel. Companies use all of Microsoft products at the same time, and being good at just one Microsoft tool is a limiting factor. Being able to use Microsoft Excel, Access, and Outlook together and have them integrated (as standard) into the tool would be very useful, especially when you go into attended automation."
"We are having some challenges when it comes to stability."
"There is definitely some room for improvement there. It is sort of a hit and miss with their support engineers, you have some really good ones and some that aren't."
"This solution should be more user-friendly so that our clients can take a bot that we have developed for them, and then run it by themselves."
"Attended automation sometimes might go into exceptions, thus we need to monitor it in-between, then check whether it is working properly. This way, we ensure the bot is working properly."
"The overall product in Automation Anywhere is good, but they need to improve a little bit on the overall architecture side."
"We need to be on VPN in order to set up and access the solution, and that has created some challenges."
"The support from the actual manufacturer is poor."
"Agile delivery should be supported."
"The stability, specifically in the on-premises deployment model, could be improved."
"They need to improve their mobile interface, as well as features regarding the extension of the mobile access to the end user."
"Areas for improvement would be the service catalog and customer catalog, which is not very user-friendly. The shopping cart experience is also terrible - you submit and go straight to the cart, you can't continue shopping or see your overall cost."
"Application service mapping, GRC, SecOps, and things like that need improvement."
"Access is only available if we're on VPN."
"We're seeing a lot of automation and AI enhancements for improvements. This helps answer simple questions without manual intervention, saving time. We can improve by automating more of our solution-building process. Salesforce Service Cloud is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution. It's constantly evolving, and we're always looking for ways to improve our use. The cloud services we use include CRM (Salesforce), financial (NetSuite), and people (Workday). These services are becoming more automated, with a lot happening in the AI space. We do a lot of modeling ourselves to find answers to questions, and our product team has introduced some AI enhancements."
"Salesforce Service Cloud's report functionality could be improved."
"There is no control over the appearance of Visual Flow pages, giving the appearance of an amateur web application within the Salesforce interface."
"The governor limits are a troubling feature of Salesforce"
"The pricing of the solution can be made cheaper."
"The treatment of email processing in the Service Cloud is still reminiscent of email processes appropriate to sales."
"The pricing for what Salesforce Service Cloud offers is not great."
"The product's high price is an area of concern where improvements are required."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"The price is a little bit high but the support is good."
"Overall, the pricing of Automation Anywhere is good."
"We're on a license package with Automation Anywhere (AA), paid yearly. What would be better is for them to have different packages for different types of organization."
"The licensing cost for Automation Anywhere is high."
"There may be room for the product to be more competitively priced to excel in the market."
"I am not involved in the pricing, but based on what I hear from our central RPA team, it is not very expensive; it is also not cheap. Its price is in the midrange."
"My understanding is that the license cost of Automation Anywhere is more reasonable than UiPath and Blue Prism."
"For an ITIL user, the cost is probably about 50 bucks a month."
"I believe that in our country, Colombia, we utilize this platform for the Latin American region. In terms of expenses, it's somewhat higher compared to other products. I would rate it as expensive and nine out of ten."
"The solution is priced at 50 dollars a month per user."
"The product is expensive. There is a need to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the product."
"Salesforce Service Cloud is a highly expensive solution"
"We pay a yearly licensing fee for Salesforce Service Cloud, which is expensive."
"The tool is pretty expensive."
"Salesforce Service Cloud is expensive. I worked with ExactTarget over five years ago, and it was quite pricey then. Not everyone could afford it. Salesforce has different tiers for different kinds of users. It's expensive considering their features and services, but they offer best-in-class solutions."
"Only enterprise businesses can afford the solution, and small companies cannot afford it."
