The solution has good features like security antivirus and the ability to use other applications on one dashboard
Comodo RMM is really, really slow to load, and connecting with most of my clients takes a while. You have to get back to your office before you have to be able to work effectively, which is a drawback for me. Comodo RMM doesn't have a cloud environment, and I have to install it on-premises. I have to come back to my premises or location to log in. If I am somewhere else dealing with a client, and one of my previous clients tells me they are having issues with one of the PCs or servers, I cannot do anything from where I am. I have to get back to my office to be able to log in.

Lightweight tool aids in remote management but needs better support
Primarily, we are using it for remote monitoring and management as an MSP. We are basically a reseller; we are a service provider, so Kaseya VSA is one of our tools which we use for our managed services The best features of Kaseya VSA are that it's lightweight over the machine and does not create…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features of Comodo RMM are the security antivirus and the ability to use other applications like the PSA and the ticketing system on one dashboard."
"The technical support is fabulous."
"The management feature is very good. You get a complete and clear view of the employment tool on Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems (even on mobile). Third-party integration is also possible (e.g., IBM, Apple, etc.)."
"We like the auto containment feature."
"I like the Live Connect module provided by Kaseya. It is a powerful module. I also like the Agent Procedure module. We work with it most of the time."
"Kaseya VSA's best features are auditing and reporting."
"Regarding the patching and software management, for me, it's the best path."
"The most valuable features of the solution are its ability to offer control remotely to its users and provide patching capabilities to users."
"I would recommend Kaseya to any MSP, because their product is a little ahead of the innovation curve compared to the competitors."
"The ease of access and ease of use was great."
"The product is quite affordable compared to other RMM solutions on the market and we only have a few complaints."
"Patch management was very useful. Backdoor access to the clients was also very useful."

Cons

"Comodo RMM is really, really slow to load, and connecting with most of my clients takes a while."
"They should integrate email security in the same solution."
"The solution needs further integration with other software tools like a CRM and other accounting tools."
"The solution needs further integration with other software tools like a CRM and other accounting tools. Not having this integration makes Comodo RMM limited in functionality. Additionally, more network management features would be good to have in the next release."
"The product's user interface is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."
"One area that could be improved is the documentation, which often contains errors that prevent you from following along, especially during migrations."
"There should be more Mac support. Whenever a new Mac operating system comes out, the support is very limited. It takes them a while to get things up to date. We're seeing more and more people move to Mac from the Windows environment for various reasons, but their support for Mac is very limited. A lot of it might have to do with Mac itself, but there are ways to improve upon that. That would be my biggest thing for improvement."
"Its scripting language kind of sucked."
"The deployment process could be better."
"The reporting feature in Kaseya VSA could improve by being more user-friendly. The reporting overview is too wordy or the representation can be better."
"Sometimes patching is unreliable."
"I believe we should include a VSA license to provide complete endpoint management."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Kaseya VSA can be described as a fairly priced product."
"The solution is robust and the price is good for the features that are provided."
"I find Kaseya VSA's pricing extraordinarily expensive, with very limiting contracts. They discuss being flexible once you're locked in, but I haven't found that true. It is one of the most expensive tools in my arsenal and our highest expense to any company."
"It depends on what products you want. Kaseya loves packages, and if you are packaging, it is more affordable. If you're not packaging, it tends to be a little bit more expensive than others."
"The dollar exchange rate in Brazil is very high, so the price should be better for our country."
"With the on-prem, you buy the agent license. That's a one-time fee, and it varies depending on how many you have. You also pay annual maintenance on the number that you have. So, there are two fees involved: a one-time fee and a recurring fee."
"Though I don't have complete visibility over the solution's pricing, the solution is not cheap, from what I remember. The solution is on the pricey end."
"The pricing is quite good and we are satisfied with it."
