Dashboard has provided clear access insights but report analysis still needs simplification
Delinea Fastpath's dashboard is great and gives me a bunch of information right from the entry point. However, to get to the real substance of it, that's where it becomes very time consuming. I would say reports are good; they're mostly just an extract of Excel type reports, and then it's a matter of analyzing the data.

Improved user experience with seamless integration and easy installation
The feature that I mostly valued is the ease of installation on different systems, especially on Windows. Additionally, it is very beneficial for deploying single sign-on sessions between different windows on a web browser, provided I am connected to the right identity provider. That seamless integration significantly improves user experience and efficiency.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Fastpath Assure has positively impacted our organization by enabling us to identify loopholes in excessive access rights granted to different users, and we are also working on minimizing our license costs."
"Delinea Fastpath's dashboard is great and gives me a bunch of information right from the entry point."
"It provides a secure interface and single sign-on to a variety of different applications."
"It provides the breadth and the width to provide solutions for the different kinds of technologies which we have."
"All of our applications get a point, click, and you are in, while we increase security at the same time."
"The most valuable feature is that it meets the requirements of the customer. You have a lot of features in the product. Every product has them, but the question is, are these products going to meet the requirement of the customer?"
"It puts the expertise around authentication and security on our organization where it belongs."
"SSO has impacted security on the whole and has provided a very good user experience."
"It restricts cookie replacement and provides enhanced ones, so the applications are safer, helping keep our data secure in a much better way without affecting user experience."
"The most valuable feature is the Federation part of Single Sign On, which is customizable and is easily integrated with any customer application or any third party application."

Cons

"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing has been that it is quite expensive, but with Fastpath Assure, we have identified areas where we are paying more for licensing."
"Delinea Fastpath's setup cost was a little high, and I think it has even gone up."
"The Federation part of CA Single Sign On, it's a bit complex to implement because it involves the SSL certificates, exchange of certificates, and lot of technical details. The documentation misses some important parts of this, so that's the reason it took some time for us to go live."
"While I have some integration with a few major providers, support for more would be advantageous."
"Some of the features need to be improved. For example, the Federation feature."
"I'd like to see the federation piece made a little simpler."
"It's not user friendly, but it's very customizable."
"It's a hit and miss thing, like all support organizations. For the most part, for simple problems they can get to a resolution fairly quickly, but if the problem is a little more complicated, they really struggle with getting us a solution."
"All of the feedback within our team for CA Support is not good. It really is on a very low level, but then it is very specific for CA SSO."
"It seems that when there's a new version, patch, or service pack, we find bugs."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I recommend conducting a PoC on every available product before choose one."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Symantec Siteminder is expensive; they could definitely do better on the price."
"The licensing is fair for this solution."
"The price is quite comparable to the other enterprise-level solutions in that market."
"The solution's pricing is competitive."
"Siteminder is a little costly. You pay for licensing, and they offer packages, so if you have less users, then you have to buy different products at different prices. If you have more of a user base, then the package is different. They also include other features—for example, if you have a database and you're using Siteminder, then it's good to use a Semantic-specific database, but if you are using less, then you have to purchase the database separately. Whereas if you are going for a bigger license, then it comes within the package. It depends on which plan you are using."
"CA solutions are generally expensive but for the customer the ROI is big."
