Offers unique object identification, ideal for UI layer regression automation but limited scalability
Performance is one key area for improvement. It can be slower compared to other tools I've used. Secondly, we have a very limited resource pool that uses this tool in India. So, finding resources familiar with Eggplant in India is challenging due to lack of affiliation programs and so on.

Performance testing has delivered diverse global retail loads and generates clear diagnostic reports
I did not notice any weak points or downsides in Tricentis NeoLoad except for the cost. Everything else is good with the tool. When I consider that service customers have to pay the cost for the load generation, I find that the cost increases, especially when I want to generate a load for a global customer with different loads in different regions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It's been a revelation to us in terms of its ability to assist us in exploratory testing and to integrate with our current model-driven architecture."
"We don't have a big team of people that can watch the dials and check that everything is okay. We're doing a lot of the monitoring of our website and our product at the side of the desk. We need a solution that does a lot for us, and that's what Eggplant does."
"Customer Service: Excellent and very personal."
"It is not a conventional test automation tool. It uses optical character recognition (OCR) to identify objects. It makes it the best in the class."
"We find the solution stable and scalable."
"We've been really fortunate in that we've had virtually zero downtime in all the time we've been using Eggplant."
"It’s very easy for a person without any performance testing experience to use."
"What I appreciate about Tricentis NeoLoad is that it excels at generating different kinds of loads."
"We've gotten 20% increase in tests-per-sprint and 35% decrease in time taken to create a script, and we also have cost savings of over one million dollars annually."
"The solution has provided us with options to improve our applications by allowing us to design scenarios, and export our scripts to the Git repository, CACD integration, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics integration."
"NeoLoad is actually really good, mainly because they have a world-class support service."
"NeoLoad is very user friendly and works well with HTTP and REST API’s, is very effective during cloud based testing, and the cost is a fraction of LoadRunner."
"Implementing this product has allowed us to increase the number of projects that get load testing, and the frequency by which we re-test our performance."
"The best feature of the solution is that we can utilize the Tosca scripts for NeoLoad execution."

Cons

"One area I can think of to improve is the usability of the reports that we get."
"Bugs occur fairly frequently, but they are very responsive in identifying them and scheduling them for fixes in future releases."
"I'd like to see the ability to integrate the user experience through device forms like AWS device forms or source labs."
"Performance is one key area for improvement. It can be slower compared to other tools I've used."
"The weakest feature of most of the load test tools is result analysis."
"Support wasn't able to solve a technical issue."
"NeoLoad’s lack of support for a complete protocol suite is somewhat limiting."
"While importing the scripts from backup it should not create the new variables because it has created some issues for us."
"NeoLoad does not support Citrix-based applications."
"Tricentis NeoLoad could improve the terminal emulation mainframe. It is not able to use the low code or no code option. You have to code it yourself."
"It needs improvements when handling binary values."
"NeoLoad can improve the correlation templates, which are specific to frameworks. There's room for improvement in that area."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is competitive in India."
"Eggplant came out as the most competitive in terms of commercials (terms and conditions) which was positive. When we did the initial negotiations, Eggplant started at a price but they were open to negotiations and we did negotiate a discount. That was really important to us because it showed a level of commitment to us."
"Tricentis NeoLoad price is a benefit of using this tool, it is less expensive than some of the other solutions."
"I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
"The solution is quite expensive."
"I'd rate it a seven out of ten in terms of pricing"
"NeoLoad is expensive, but to my knowledge, it's better than LoadRunner."
"Its licensing cost is very less."
"I don't have information on the licensing cost of Tricentis NeoLoad because my manager handles that. From a testing perspective and based on company requirements, the current license is for one thousand users."
"Licence cost is very attractive compared to other vendor tools and also there are many license alternatives."
