Lightweight and extensible with great support staff
* Lightweight * Uses java standards * Can run in j2se or j2ee environments * Can run as embedded or standalone * Works with multiple db or in-memory * Great support staff * Extensible * Cluster(able) * Can integrate and be a major player in any SOA environmentFlux has made excellent design choices the benefits of which can be passed down to customers in terms of price and capability. I don't see any IT vendor rival this.

Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Excellent customer support"
"Flux has made excellent design choices the benefits of which can be passed down to customers in terms of price and capability."
"Overall, GoAnywhere MFT has been a reliable and efficient platform for secure file transfer automation, especially in environments where security, compliance, and workflow reliability are important."
"For us, it is indispensable."
"GoAnywhere MFT has become a central part of our file transfer and automation strategy by securely transferring files, standardizing workflows, improving visibility into transfer activities, and significantly reducing the need for manual intervention while improving operational efficiency and reducing the risk associated with manual file handling."
"GoAnywhere MFT is a great file-specific, file transfer-specific, and encryption-specific solution."
"We also use the Secure Folders module and the Web Client a lot. For example, we set up external vendors to come in and review files or folders in a Secure Folder. That way they can go in and review whatever information or data they need to do."
"The solution is easy to learn and user-friendly, which makes it accessible even to those without programming backgrounds and extensive scripting training. Newcomers can quickly get to grips with the platform, and as it's a more object-oriented application, it's easier to use and program."
"The best feature of GoAnywhere is that transfers are straightforward if there are no other requirements from the source and destination. It doesn't require much maintenance."
"The automation capabilities are amazing. They help to reduce manual transfer tasks and handle the daily repetitive tasks that we do. It also ensures overall efficiency."

Cons

"Need a better way to track a particular work item through multiple, independent workflows."
"It would be nice to have more file transform capabilities for transforming xml and csv documents."
"When a monitor invokes a project to accomplish something, that gets logged as a job. I've had a little difficulty figuring out where to look to see the monitor's activities itself, to see if the monitor is having a problem. For instance, if an account on a secure FTP server has expired, the monitor that uses that account doesn't announce to us that it's having a problem. I want to work with them on this to get it fixed."
"Initially, the setup was kind of hard for me. I had to take a long time to adapt to the system."
"I think GoAnywhere MFT can improve in UI/UX redesigning and better cloud-native deployments."
"The technical support is slow to respond and to take action when issues arise, along with difficult-to-use user forums which complicate finding solutions on our own."
"I want to be able to use GoAnywhere to create customizable reports that I can share with the MSP containing any information related to file transfers."
"Deployment of GoAnywhere MFT was very challenging because the trial request process and response time caused delays."
"The UI of GoAnywhere MFT could be more modern, and some advanced workflow configurations and troubleshooting steps could be made easier for administrators."
"If I had to pick something for a roadmap, the web-based admin UI can sometimes feel a bit traditional compared to newer and cloud-native SaaS platforms, but it is easier to understand as it has a traditional web setup."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The cost of GoAnywhere versus the value it brings to our data transfer operations is reasonable... The cost is relatively expensive but, back to the car analogy, that's to be expected with a Ferrari."
"The product's pricing is reasonable."
"The product is not cheap, but it is not expensive."
"Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT carries a higher price tag than other MFT solutions."
"It would be good for the company to explore a modular approach to selling the product so it could be cheaper and more attractive to users."
"Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT is an inexpensive solution."
"GoAnywhere was the most attractively priced product that met our needs. In our PoC it really came down to MOVEit and GoAnywhere, and GoAnywhere's pricing was about 30 percent less."
"To have a solution like this for the price we're paying makes it cheap. Considering the time that it has saved us, and considering the development that we don't need to do, such as connectors and handling servers, the price is really affordable."
