Has enabled secure, centralized file sharing while saving significant time and resources
The best features in GoAnywhere MFT are that it's fast, reliable, and secure. First, the improvement is that we have resolved one of our security points with compliance. So that compliance point we resolved. And also it's a centralized file sharing system. All the users are able to access the file. There is no one-to-one sharing. It's improved about 80 to 85%. It saves about 80 to 90% resources. In terms of time, we can say 90 to 95% time is also saved because it avoids the one-to-one sharing and simply a user can put one centralized directory and all the users are able to access this solution and access the file. So it's 95%.

Good automation, no complex coding, and high-level data encryption
When it comes to performance and scalability, JSCAPE is a highly reliable software, however, I would suggest a few improvements: 1. The documentation needs a revamp for a better understanding of the features of the tool. 2. Customer service can be offered on call or chat. 3. The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial. 4. UI can be improved in terms of look and feel. 5. Documentation should be provided for a majority of newly released features as these can be difficult for a layman to use without proper instructions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"GoAnywhere MFT is valued most for automation plus security plus visibility and enterprise file movement rather than just basic file transfer."
"The best feature of GoAnywhere MFT is the automation of file transfer, so once configured, processes run without manual effort, improving efficiency and reliability while also providing strong security and encryption along with centralized management control."
"My favorite feature is shell scripting; when there is compatibility with the GoAnywhere MFT tool, we can implement shell scripting with respect to the functionality."
"The security and vendor management features are helpful in terms of providing access to data."
"GoAnywhere MFT is very user-friendly and users can access logins and find issues as soon as possible while maintaining secure file transmissions."
"GoAnywhere centralizes data exchanges, helping to facilitate file transfers between our critical systems."
"If I have a job that I need to run on the system and I want the data transferred, I can use GoAnywhere and schedule it on a daily basis, a weekly basis, or whatever, and it does the job for me to transfer the files over to the other systems, or back and forth."
"GoAnywhere MFT is the best; we prefer it."
"One of the standout features of this particular tool is its automation capabilities."
"We receive customized email notifications and alerts regarding user activities and the number of login attempts."
"Automating and managing the file transfer using JSCAPE has decreased the manual interventions necessary and increased the organization's efficiency and productivity."
"The user-friendly interface has made it easy for fresh users to adopt it."
"JSCAPE provides high-level data encryption, which can help us share confidential and time-sensitive data across our global partners without any hassle."
"The product's most valuable feature is the high availability clustering."
"Triggers are also something that is useful as they automate the use of boilerplate code."
"JSCAPE's automation can obliterate manual file transfer processes, salvaging precious time and vanquishing the chances of errors."

Cons

"I like that you can tweak the interface so much, but it would be nice to be able to tweak it some more. The ability to further tweak the interface would be advantageous, as our end users had some questions about modifications that we could not address."
"I want to highlight the user interface as an area for improvement in GoAnywhere MFT, as it is slightly difficult to understand."
"The solution's support for the Unix platform and AS2 should be improved."
"Scalability is around 7.5 for GoAnywhere MFT because there are restrictions based on file sizes for transfers, necessitating chunking to move complete files, which limits its effectiveness in data migration."
"We had a few activities or events in the past where threat actors or hackers targeted MFT solutions or systems or software by exploiting zero-day vulnerabilities."
"I tried to copy a file from an S3 bucket to another storage class. I don't know if it is a limitation from AWS, not the MFT. If I copy a file from the AWS S3 bucket to that storage class, it can't be transferred. It says that I can't remember the exact error, but it cannot be processed. I want MFT to be more compatible with cloud-based applications or services like AWS."
"GoAnywhere MFT could be improved in that the UI could be more modern and some advanced workflow configurations and troubleshooting steps could be made easier for administrators."
"The security side, particularly when dealing with keys and certificates, could be in a different suite rather than built directly into the main interface."
"JSCAPE ensures data integrity. You know that the file has been transferred and on which date, as we provide timestamps."
"The FTP/S and ad-hoc techniques can further be automated."
"Database crashing was seen whenever there was an overload."
"Iteratively enhancing the user interface could help with streamlining workflows to make them more intuitive and user-friendly."
"Improving the error handling feature can help users to identify and resolve issues more quickly and efficiently."
"The product's pricing needs improvement."
"The initial setup is time-consuming; it could use a video tutorial."
"They could create an in-depth document so that any user with little to no background can implement this and use the software effectively."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its pricing is fair. It is not the most expensive, and it is not the cheapest. For what we get in our environment, the pricing model works pretty well."
"The product's pricing is reasonable."
"I find it to be very fair. It is very good."
"GoAnywhere was the most attractively priced product that met our needs. In our PoC it really came down to MOVEit and GoAnywhere, and GoAnywhere's pricing was about 30 percent less."
"The pricing for GoAnywhere MFT seems reasonable when compared to other similar services, especially cloud services. Azure is significantly more expensive."
"When it comes to secure systems that we have used, the price point can get a whole lot higher. You might end up saving in the short term with other solutions, but are you getting a secure product? Do you feel confident in that? Will you be able to get any support afterward? From my experience, based on the price point and the service that we got, it was a good value for our money."
"Licensing can be expensive and it depends upon which features you want to buy."
"It has flexible and affordable pricing because of custom quotes. The prices depend on the modules one needs and the volume of data being transferred. Overall, they offer custom and flexible pricing with an annual subscription, where you pay for specific features and functionality required."
"The software is expensive compared to other vendors."
